“Stumbled upon Divided Sky while looking for a place to set up my laptop and get some work done. This was a great choice. Steady foot traffic, but not crazy loud. Lots of interior seating and outdoor seating as well. The music was groovy but not distracting. Bourdain on the TV. Loved the decor and locally made art. Friendly staff and mellow vibes. I'd say the setting is welcoming for anyone. The food: I'm a snob for fried chicken sandwiches and they passed the test. I approve of this place and will be back!“

“Stockman is the Cheers of Fair Oaks! I have never had anything but a great time. It's a warm and inviting old-fashioned neighborhood bar. The tenders are part of the ambiance. They're great people. Food is nearby, but they have some chips if you want to keep your seat at the bar. All ages are welcome. It's a step into easier times.“

“Stopped by the bar next door to my dry cleaners with my adult twins to check it out on St. Paddy's Day. My hubby was out of town and they were my Uber for the night. It was karaoke night and the talent was amazing. The female bartender was all about professionalism and made sure she carded everyone which I appreciated. My kids are 22 yo twins and don't drink and she was all over them as soon as they walked in the door which is AOK because that's her job. I really like her. She made a mean martini, Shirley Temple and Roy Rogers for my kids. She moved endlessly throughout the room serving the entire bar by herself the entire night making sure we were all served. Lastly, they have a quarter operated pool table that my kids enjoyed I loved the sensational voices of the karaoke singers and the bartender makes some mean martinis.“

Mind you I sat at the bar so I can't speak to the waitstaff, but the bartenders were attentive without being annoying. They read your needs really well. The Hot and Sour soup was among the best I've ever had, and the pork pot stickers were very good (a bit more "sear" on the dumplings would have been ideal) - complimented by the uniquely flavorful dipping sauce. It was a beautiful view looking out to the finely manicured grounds, now some cons, it was extremely loud inside, which made conversation difficult and the worst part was it was full of middle aged golfers that couldn't stop starring at me and my family, like we infiltrated there secret lair, hey golfer guys it is a public restaurant so take your eyes of me and look someplace else. “Saw a couple of cover bands (Bad Jovi). Great venue (upstairs). Big wide open floor with pub style seating around the back and behind the dance floor/ stage. The upstairs bar gets very crowded, during the show. Just slip downstairs for a drink. Downstairs remains open during the show. While a little understaffed, bartenders were friendly.“

The decor looks like it hasn't changed in decades, and why fix what is not broken? Exactly. Is it open or not? Well, bars rarely close around here. One way to find out, pull on a big wooden door. I really like when these places are dark inside, too. It reminds me of Europe. That's what happens when there are no windows. You really can't thumb your nose up at $4.50 drinks and $4 shots. Not that we did shots, but I did see the sign proudly advertising such activities. We liked our bartender and the regulars did not seem unfriendly at all. Engrossed in their own convos, sure. But I felt like I could probably join if I felt like it. I did not feel like it. There were a couple nice TVs with college football on. I did partake of the bathroom and the report is that she is clean and fresh smelling. Not sure if the popcorn is still around or if it is cash only. We paid in cash. There is a sink kitchenette in the back of the room, which added to the ambiance we enjoy. I also like that there are no windows, did I mention that? I did. Okay. A+ would recommend, will come again for cheap, stiff drinks, vibe check passed and all. Nothing better than a heavy-handed pour at $4.50. There are better Mediterranean/Greek restaurants in Sacramento than this one. Dining area is in the bar - not a very good dining experience for conversation.“
