“I ordered a three piece lunch with catfish. I also ordered an order of fried okra. I've never eaten here before, but it's kind of a hole in the wall, and I have found that most holes in the wall have the best food! I was greeted warmly, and my order was taken took about 15 minutes. When I got my food, I was very happy. It looked exactly like what I wanted it to look like and then I took my first bite after dipping it in tartar sauce and I was ecstatic. It was delicious it hit the spot perfectly. The tartar sauce was delicious. They only gave me one and I had to go back and get another three pieces of fish really demands to tartar sauce is I went back and expecting to pay for it and he gave it to me. Don't think that they're going to do that for everybody though I was a first time customer you know and I would have paid for another one. The fish is cooked perfectly. The only thing I would say is a little bit more seasoning maybe some lemon pepper but the fish was good and tender. I ordered catfish and it was banging! When and if I am in the area, I will go there again!“

“Yes, Have been a customer for years! I always get the Catfish Lunch.. It is just enough. The fish is cooked just right! How do they do that! A husband and wife team are the owners.. Nice folks.. You get a side and fresh slices of bread with your meal. Just like down South in the old days. Parking is Free. Limited! Parking on the street. Oh, you may eat there, but small area. “It's been a while since I have been here but is a favorite fish spot Disappointed to know my favorite and such nice Liz no longer works here always had amazing service with her New cashiers seem grouchy mean with no energy. Only giving 4 stars service was not the best but food was great and made by Maria the short hispanic she always ALWAYS makes my food . Went two and 3 days ago and other cooks don't do well but big guy in glasses cook good just not like the hispanic lady. This place is a must when she is cooking, beans have flavor and greens are made just like my grams! Sadly prices have gone up and will rethink coming unless craving“

“The food is very good! Always cooked fresh and cooked however you prefer your order. The wait times are also great. I never wait more than 10 minutes for my food. The environment when you dine in is very calm and relaxing. I mostly choose to stay and eat my food. George is also a great employee there. He makes sure you are well taken care of and makes the process of ordering food or picking up your food very smoothly. He has a great personality and is always a great face to see when I come.“

“Great food but found it a bit inconsistent. 3.5 stars I really liked tangaroa the first time I came by. I tried the pacific ceviche, clam chowder, and fish and chips and all were great but the fish and chips were truly fantastic! They nailed the batter on the fish and the chips were really well seasoned. However, the second time I came by and ordered some of the same dishes, everything tasted just a bit different or were prepared a bit differently. The flavors didn't feel as balanced and I assume it may be because they had a different chef that day. I also tried the tuna crispy rice and didn't find that it was quite worth the price. I do think it's worth trying but wish it was more consistent!“

The pieces of sole I ordered were very thin however i think If i didn't request for them to be "fried hard" it would've been ok, so that's on me. Would def try again :)“

The only thing about going here in this area?? is when you pull up in the parking lot there is always about 2-3 young men that are standing out in the parking lot. Which make it alittle uncomfortable to go there.Parking: Their is always like 2-3 young.men just standing around in the parking area. Which is very uncomfortable.“

“I'm giving this place 4/5. The chicken had a Cajun spice that they put on the outside of the breading. Over the chicken wasn't the best but good. The line was kinda long but the food was affordable. I had a 2 pc, small Cajun rice, small soda and sweet potato pie for about $9. The sweet potato pie was great! I'll be coming back for sure, however this is located in the hood.“

“Discovered this little hole in the wall a few years back while looking for something new near my place of work. I have to say, penguins never disappoints. When ever I decide to be a tad bad, I bring on the whole office to sin along with me. Lol. They're always so patient when calling in multiple orders and their service is a quick in and out. The food is always fresh. And they have lots of fish to pick from. Easy on the pockets too.. if you haven't tried it, DO IT! Stop thinking about it. My person fave is combo 15. Fried oysters with my choice of fish, sole filets. And I always add a piece of orange roughy.“

“I think most restaurants use some kind of inexpensive fish with the thought that once it's breaded and fried, no one will care. But the Slow Bell's haddock was thick, moist, and cooked just right. The fries were so good bare that I felt guilty using ketchup.“

“I make it a point to eat here at least once a month. I love that it's so old school. Such a large menu but you know the fish your getting without having to choose from 5 different fish. This is not fast food the family is respectable and takes their time to make sure your order is done right. Will update with photos on the next visit.“

“I decided to eat at this restaurant to try seafood dishes in Fisherman's Village. The atmosphere of the restaurant is above average. Despite some flies hanging out in the tree near the restaurant, I can still see the scenic view from where we sat. For the food, I ordered a lobster roll with french fries, panzerotti (fried pizza), and Raspberry Ice Tea. I am still unsure whether the lobster roll is genuinely lobster due to the lobster-crayfish scandal shown in Inside Edition, but it tasted delicious, creamy, and fresh from the sea. I am highly confident the lobster roll genuinely contains real lobster. The panzerotti was hot when touching this oily dish, but it was cheesy and savory. The filling (ham, cheese, and tomato sauce) complemented together into a melt-in-your-mouth experience. Finally, the Raspberry Ice Tea was sweet and refreshing; I can look at the beautiful ocean while drinking it. The service in the restaurant was A-Level; it felt like a family restaurant to me. Overall, I enjoyed the meals in the restaurant. I would recommend everyone coming to Fisherman's Village to give a shot at this restaurant.“

One comment is that the lady seems to think it’s funny and call out numbers that aren’t correlated to the order. It also takes really long to get your order almost 30 minutes. “I order (via Dash) the red snapper 5 piece! The fish was so fresh I thought it was gonna leap off of my plate. But no really, delicious! They fires and the coleslaw. I don't eat everyone's Cole slaw but theirs was delicious! Light. Like, salad light not too much of that white stuff (Mayo). Even though I had it delivered the times I've walked in. They are always nice, handle the food with grace and the decor is in point!“
