I wanted to love this place. The concept and novelty is great. The prices for what you get, were not. Don't get me wrong, the food was okay, some good, but it never got great. Ordered seven items too. But the 20% gratuity on top of those high prices for finger food sized portions were a bit hard to justify in the end.
I had heard of this spot before but then made a reservation after I read about it from a New York Times article.We got an indoor seat at the bar. Food and drinks came out quick. The best Japanese food. The uni ramen special they had is a new favorite. Matt, the waiter, was really great. Very cheerful and gave us great recommendations. The surrounding area is near a highway overpass so it can get quite loud if you sit outside.
