“The eastern outpost of the famous Circus Liquors in North Hollywood (which features the greatest creepy neon clown sign you will ever see), Circus Liquors Sylmar is smaller but has the same great vibe. Good service, decent selection (obviously not as extensive as the NoHo location due to having less space) and decent pricing make it a winner. Circus Liquors swag is sold here too, including shirts and hats. A little odd but one whole side of the store is devoted to machines selling lottery tickets; guess this creates income for the business? Liquor and lottery tickets, what a combo! Free parking in the private lot.“

“The Landmark is the ultimate banquet hall in LA. It is based on a large property in Mission Hills with huge open air parking lot and a big green garden. Entering into the building, you enter the beautiful hallway area with lounge sofas, a bar that you can use for tea/coffee or alcohol, and the beautiful grand piano by the long windows. On the right side, the big doors get you into the magnificent hall where the party is going to be. You are welcome to use the hall however l you desire to design it for youe special occasion. Some prefer to have the curtains open, some prefer to hire a vendor for their specific desired design. Menu is 10/10. As a former employee of Anoush Banquet Hall, I saw that they have updated the menu with several tasty options for appetizers and hot food. “I don't normally leave reviews, but I had leave one for Distinctive Catering. When I say, Troy was on the phone with me for about 30 minutes until we worked out the right package for my 60th birthday party, he was very patient and the rest is history. The service was superb from beginning to end, with little to no supervision. They came in found the perfect space for set-up and it was on and popping. The food was amazing and the staff were very professional and interactive with the guests. There were nothing but compliments for Troy and his team! Highly recommend! Job well done!​“

“Their food never disappoints. I go from the carne asada torta to the tacos and still can't decide which I like best. The meat, asada or carnitas, is always good and smells great and the beans and rice . Their salsas are really good. I always get this through Door Dash (had not idea it was a food truck) so if you order on there remember to add your request for the salsa.“

“Churro man is the best churros I've had here in the SFV. The churros are made fresh to order and they come out super hot and crisp. They aren't too hard and are soft in the inside. The individual that makes the churros is always super courteous, kind and is super cool. I usually come here every other Friday and always get the 7 churros special. “I like a lot of the food from Africa, and have been to Ghana and Morocco. I was excited to try out The Peppered Goat, and as you can tell by the five stars, they did not disappoint. I've got a few suggestions as well. I ordered a Peppered Goat Pie and a Peppered Beef Pie. Both were delicious. The crust was a perfectly flakey crust, and the meat in both were cooked to perfection, flavorful and tender. It's pretty rare that you can have meat this tender. 1.) I showed up there instead of ordering ahead. I think it's probably easier to order in advance or order via delivery rather than hang out in the hallway for 30 minutes. In other words, it's not a restaurant. It's one of numerous kitchens in a hallway, nothing more, although there are a couple of metal benches with seats in the parking lot outside. 2.) If you are curious about trying goat and have never tried it before, this would be an outstanding first place to do it. I don't know what people think goat might taste like, but here, it's very tender, spicy, and flavorful. It's not "weird" tasting at all, but I do notice that a lot of my friends have never tried goat, so I figured I would mention this. 3.) If the pies are this good, I can just about guarantee that the egusi soup, eba or fufu, and other dishes are really great. Also, I noticed that other people seem to love their jollof rice, so there's that. 4.) What's also cool is that they have vegan dishes. For instance, one of the choices is Peppered Vegan Pie, which are mushrooms smothered in their signature pepper sauce recipe. There is also a vegan swallow combo (a swallow dish is dough-like food that is typically eaten with soups or stews, and can include cassava or yam that has been pounded....so it has nothing to do with birds). Definitely recommended. I'll be ordering again!“

“Not only is this an extremely yummy restaurant but they also do amazing catering. My experience with Beth and Wolf Creeks catering team was TOP notch. We had our wedding and family welcome luncheon catered through this restaurant. Impeccable service and AMAZING food. Cooking large batches of buffet style food can be hit or miss sometimes, but honestly the food was a HUGE hit with our guests. Days later and people were still talking about the delicious short ribs and olive tapenade for the rolls. Not to mention, prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and service offered. Wolf creek has become a part of our family at this point and we’ll definitely be back to visit often! A true gem!“

“So happy to have tried Sugo! I only dipped my toes into the flavor pool ordering only the French Fries and the Meatballs and sauce! Having had an Italian Chef for a Father, I grew up being able to tell good Italian flavors from a simple dish like Meatballs and Sauce (gravy)! Both were excellent from Sugo! Hot from heat, great texture and fine flavors and plenty of food! I'm looking forward to delving deeply into the menu next time! The rest of the family dinner was a hit with everyone too! “Food and Service 10 out of 10! This is our second event booked with Marcelo and crew. From the first call, he was the upmost professional, very attentive and responsive. Our event was held in Santa Ynez, Ca. Marcelo & crew arrived at 6:30 am to service food by 3 pm. From beginning to end, theses guys got their stuff down. Their set up is impressive, then they start preparing all meats, marinating everything on site, all high quality meats, sausage, ribs, chicken served with salad, bread, chimichurri sauce and empanadas (beef, chicken, spinach) and we opted for roasted veggies for 175 ppl. Our guest could not stop raving about how spectacular the food was. Being from Argentina, I can attest this is as authentic as it gets! They are legit. Throughout the day, Marcelo's attitude was so positive and there was nothing he did not answer with, "no problem, we got it covered ", this was so reassuring for a "control-freak like me" lol. I just knew I had nothing to worry about when it came to the food. At the end of the day, the breakdown was as impressive as the set up, as I watched them clean every utensil, cookware and grill back to new before loading things back in their trailer. I wholeheartedly recommend them for any event small or large, they will not disappoint. Thank you Marcelo and crew for a spectacular job.“

“The hall has good parking and appears ample to handle events with what looks like 20 to 30 tables where 8 to 10 guests can sit and a central dance floor but I would say the food is this venues strongest recommendation from us. You will not be disappointed.“
