“This place is awesome and the staff is so sweet. The food is really yummy too.Parking: Close to Trader Joe’s and in a busy part of Toluca Lake so parking is a little tough.Kid-friendliness: I’ve seen the owner help a couple with a crying baby and bounce their baby so they could eat. I wanted to cry it was so sweet.“

“5/5 Written from a former bakery owner. My family owned a bakery in Detroit for 40+ years and sold it during Covid in 2021. I know baking and so does Toluca Bakery. Excellent customer service. Family owned shop with the mom and son working when my friend and I went in. So much variety, and the price point is low for all you’re getting. This is a bakery making old school, classic recipes. They veganized so many items that you can’t find in most places. The chocolate chip cookies were delicious, concha’s super tasty, Tres Leches was chef’s kiss, turnover amazing, danish great, cupcakes yum, eclairs fantastic and empanadas scrumptious. Highly recommend. Plus for folks who like supporting small business, this is exactly that. It’s a win-win-win-win. Taste-options-price-family owned & operated. Get there!“

“We chose Ca de Sole to celebrate my birthday as it is rather special. We sat inside on a Thursday evening so as to avoid the very noisy patio that was hopping and very loud. Our quiet booth was perfect for us and we started with the scrumptious beet salad followed by the butternut squash ravioli and ended with the Osso Buco on saffron Risotto. Everything was beautiful well prepared. I don't know if we'd do the meat dish again as something about the pairing with the risotto did not please our palates, but it was very good and tender. All else was awesome and I'm sure we'll return to try some of the other scrumptious dishes. The panna cotta birthday plate was also very delicious and light! The service was top rate, too!“

“Best Mexican food out the in my opinion. Premium ingredients are incredibly rare for Mexican food and sharkeys uses the best. Wild caught, organic, and grass-fed. The salsas are delicious and chips come with each meal. Prices are comparable to most other restaurants and the flavors and overall dining experience is far superior. Highly recommend this spot for lunch or dinner. Outstanding in all categories.“

I always recommend this place for my out of town friends and family and they always enjoy it.I always get the Tortilla Soup. It's my go-to comfort food.“

“Stopped by with friends that frequent the spot. Cozy feeling bar with a great patio. Reminds me of something in Portland, OR. Beer options were fine, but with the ceiling decorated with hanging clay steins I would have guessed they would have at least one German beer on tap. Also the staff was not trained on the beer offerings, which in 2024 should be expected. As they have “Whiskey” in the name I see Beer isn’t as important.“

“I was in the area late in the evening and went on Yelp to see if there was a place open late that had tacos. Luckily, Tacos Palacios was open. I made my way down to check it out. The taco truck was parked at a gas station and had 2 picnic tables for dining. It was really cold outside. The owner, who was nice and polite, was working and helped take my food order. They have a big menu. I saw that they had tacos with handmade tortillas, so I definitely ordered two tacos with handmade tortillas, one with chicken and one with carne asada. Both tacos were delicious. They have a good spicy green salsa. I was still a bit hungry, so I ordered a burrito de al pastor. The meat was flavorful. I didn't realize that the burrito came with fries, but they were inside the burrito. They tasted good. It was my first time having fries in a burrito. The prices were higher than you would expect for 3 items ($22.50), but I think it has to do with the location. I will stop by again when I am in the area.“

“The best Coffee Bean location ever. They make the toasted bagels very hot, unlike some other locations where they are barely touched by flame and come to you untoasted and lukewarm. Orders come quickly and staff is very friendly and accommodating.“

“They've barely started or advertised their pizza program yet, but I chatted with the owner and chef while they were just opening the new location. I've worked different kitchens for years but pizza is where my heart is. They have a fantastic pizza oven tucked into the back of the dining room, surrounded by an upcoming wine bar. Mom and I stopped by to try a few things but I was so happy when I saw they already started slinging pizzas. They said it's still a work in progress locking down the right flour for their dough, which shocked me because it's already the best pizza I've had in the Valley. Hands down. Dough seems to be a throwaway in most of Los Angeles, but whatever their fermentation process shines through so fast. Light, springy, but perfectly toasted crusts, proper bubbling, and that developed sour taste. Honestly what I wouldn't give to eat one of these every day, or even work a few days shifts with them and get back in front of an oven like that! Simple fennel sausage pizza is already frustratingly burned into my mind and cravings.Cheers guys, I know what my payday meal will be every two weeks at the least ?“

“The red snapper tacos and the Mexican cornbread short rib are by far some of the best tasting dishes ever. Really impossible to do wrong with anything on this menu. Service was prompt and very familiar with the menu, and their advice was very helpful in making selections. Looking forward to yet another meal here!“
