“The restaurant is the most authentic and upscale Mexican cuisine in California, and you would never know it. I don't write lengthy reviews, but to summarize: - The food is excellent - The drinks are even better! - The staff is kind and extremely polite/professional (despite what some of the haters say below - I don't have skin in the game here so trust me when I say they are lying). - And they play GREAT live music and carry a very fun, safe, and upscale vibe. Tell your friends about it, because all small businesses struggle and this is one I would personally love to see hit 4 stars+ on Yelp and more importantly bring a sense of cultural awareness to one of the best communities in the Bay Area (WC). “One guy working the whole front of house, but he was really nice and helpful! Just wish he had some help. Cool space but high ceilings and lack of sound deadening meant you couldn't hear much above the screaming kids running around. Got better once they left though. Pizzas were really good! Great dough hole structure and texture. The Calabrian firecracker, while delicious, could probably use a little bit more even dispersal of chili, it got overpowering. Still, would come back here in a heartbeat.“

“This was my first time at Hops & Scotch and had a very nice experience. We had to sit inside, due to a patio by out, but that didn't make a difference to us. The servers, all of them, were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good as well. The extensive list of bourbons, whiskey's, etc. was so extensive that I know I'll be back to sample as many as possible. The ability to choose your flight is a great way to be able to work your way through the extensive collection. All in all it was a great experience and will be returning.“

The refurbished building is an intimate fun place, the friendly staff are super helpful and you will enjoy the fun options on the menu.We had the Bacon, which is a smoked brat with cheese, bacon and onions. The fries have a delicious seasoning with a touch of sweet.My friend had one of the many micro brews in tap and I had a frozen sangria - delicious! They also have rotating flavors of frozen Froses. “Have been here twice and it's so fun! Really great interior and outside little patio that looks out to Todos Santos Plaza. They have a great rotating selection of beer with lots of different choices - IPAs, lagers, blondes, ciders etc. The staff is really friendly and they have a membership option with your phone number. I really want to check out their Tuesday night trivia and food but so far have had only great beers here! Street parking isn't too bad for a downtown area and surrounding area has lots of food and the park is just across the street too.“
