“A pretty legit British pub in midtown Manhattan. Came here with my squash team after completing at a nearby fancy-smancy club. One of my teammates happen to be British so it got his stamp of approval for the establishment being legit. All of the tables were taken, so we went to the bar, where there was available seating along the wall. We had to order our food and drinks at the bar, but they did bring out the food to serve us.I tried their Old Speckled Hen ($10), which is a legit British beer not owned by AB-Inbev. Since it's very hard to find a place to get this, I had to give it a try. Not bad I must admit.Foodwise, I got the classic Fish & Chips ($29). The filet is pretty decent sized and thick. Could use a bit more tartar sauce. Filling and satisfying.“

“I've been here plenty of times over the years and it's usually one of the nicer places on this street. The drinks are typical - the normal beers you would expect and cocktails are $15-18. During Christmas the inside of this Tavern is usually decorated in a very cool way. The service was lacking. It was not that busy during my most recent visit and there were plenty of staff and waiters standing around, but it would take awhile to get our waitress' attention - and we were at a table right by the bar! So keep that in mind.“

“One of my favorite bars in nyc. I worked up the block for years and this would be our go to place for happy hour. The ambiance and staff are fantastic. The food is great and it's just a cozy pub feel. I still come all the way from Astoria to come here. I bring friends from all over here because I love it. One of my favorite places in this city.“
