“I recommend trying this place in a very rural community. The area is quiet and safe. The food was delicious. The desserts were not the highlight but tasty nonetheless. I suggest a 2 meat plate or Smoked Chicken Sandwich. Fun and unique experience! Don’t forget to go next door and check out the store and huge wooden rocking chair!“

“Let's be honest, BBQ is has gotten very commercialized. With so many people moving into Texas, there's a new BBQ joint on every corner it seems. "ReAL TeXaS BbQ" they say.... This place is the real deal. I travel a lot, and have made it a point to try every new BBQ I can. I can honestly say I haven't gone out of my way to leave a good review on BBQ in years. Brisket and Ribs were excellent. The whole table was happy with their food. Great atmosphere and service make it a must. If I had to criticize anything, because I believe in an honest review, the sauce was really vinegary/tart for, my taste anyways. Purists will say "gOoD BBQ dOeSnT nEeD sAuCe"... whatever. I like sauce. Ha. If you're diving through, stop and eat. If you're in Granbury, drive over to Tolar. Trust me. You won't be disappointed.“
