“Ordered their food through uber eats. Was thinking "cheap food, how good can it be", well the answer to that was soon found to be unbelievably good. We got 2 french dips and the Jackson st. “Ever I started coming to this I've felt like I'm becoming more and more like myself. I just can't wait until I can get my check back from the Spokane community college and then pay my debts. Then maybe move forward in my life and the city I live in with all these other people that are living in the same city. I see real love here, a family of people that can just be themselves and listen to the same music and act like a goof or not act like a goof. “I have had the pleasure of visiting the Union Tavern a few times before with the most recent time being the afternoon of Saturday, January 6, 2024. The space itself is rustic-feeling in the best type of way. Red brick walls close you in creating a cozy feeling. The tavern is decorated in a way that is interesting but not overwhelming. I find it cool how they have old doors hanging from the walls!As for food and drink, you gotta love a place that provides you with a basket of complimentary popcorn the moment you sit down. The prices at Union Tavern are possibly the best for an establishment of its kind in the Spokane area. Some of the happy hour specials are excellent and the Union is infamous for its $5 cheeseburger on Tuesdays. My dad and I were each going to get the $14.99 Saturday steak special but it didn’t begin until 5 p.m. so we opted for the regularly-priced burger at $10.99—which is still a great deal in this region. But the drink prices are even better than the food prices. Once again, the happy hour prices are excellent but on this most recent visit I ordered a couple vodka Red Bulls and they were just $5 each! A lot of places will usually charge you at least that amount just for the Red Bull. You can always get a big Budweiser for $5 as well.I have always had incredible service at the Union and it continued this most recent time. Alexis was our server and she was nice, attentive, and accurate with everything we ordered. It was a full bar so I really appreciated the job she did. I am knocking one star off because our burgers were dry but don’t let that deter you from coming…the atmosphere, prices, and service are superb!“
“Chill atmosphere with a great dj that kick off songs that are both relaxing and get you to get up and boogie. Bartenders and bouncers are both chill and badass peeps that keep the place legitimate. Pool tables could use some new bumpers and felt and could use some new bar sticks as most aren't straight, but thats bar sticks for ya. But all in all, 10/5 stars from galaxies unknown. “Unfortunately, with their hours stated as closing at 10 pm, arriving at 8:50 I was presented with the info that the last call for food was at 9pm. We ordered just before 9pm and had a drink, and the server came up and announced last call for drinks was at 925.... We felt like we were being rushed out, with him turning off the restaurant music before we had finished dinner. I could tell we were not wanted, so next time I will just choose somewhere else.Just so you know, when looks at restaurants in the area, most places close at 9, with this establishment closing at 10. I would expect you to get some business after 9. If you don't want that business, just close at 9 like everyone else.“
“PJs has a unique setup with multiple levels that lends itself to the awesome vibe. The atmosphere there is fun and welcoming. The staff and patrons are so friendly! They have fantastic food and Ashley makes one of the best dirty martinis in town! They do trivia and beer pong on Thursdays, and karaoke on Wednesday, and Friday-Sunday. “The Maxwell House is a classic dive bar. However the owners have been making excellent improvements over the past 18 moths or so. “my husband and I went to JJs Thursday night for our first time after hearing they have such good food. Melissa the bartender was our server and let me tell you the service not only completely SUCKED but was absolutely horrible!!!!! It took fotever for her to come take our order for drinks which she literally only asked what we wanted, it took forever to get our drinks which was a beer and mixed drinks, our food sat in the kitchen window for so long that by the time we got it, it wasn't even actually hot just warm...... the place wasn't busy less than 20 people but she was just socializing. It took her a long time to even come take an order for drinks. we ate and sat there waiting til I finally took her a card and went to get boxes. She brought the card back and said there was an issue with it which is weird because it's been used at 3 places today without calling the card issuer, I gave her my debit card but she was very short and unfriendly about it. We will absolutely not be back and will not be recommending this establishment. I'd rather have McDonald's with great service than amazing food with service like we got last night from Melissa. if you're looking for a new place to try just skipthis place it's not worth the visit.“
“First, the staff are amazing. I absolutely going and having drinks and eating there. Then Here Piggy Piggy burger is the most awesome thing I have ever eaten. However…..Friday nights are karaoke. The person they have hired is horrible. ProDJ Karaoke is not great. If you have people lined up in your queue to sign, you shouldn’t be singing yourself (especially when you are not a great singer). “We went to the Post Street Ale House to try a new place for lunch after my husband's eye Dr appointment today and before we made the long drive home. We had the bacon & beer cheese soup, mozzarella bombs appetizers and split a Cowboy burger. The food was great. The appetizers and burger were really flavorful and filling without feeling too heavy. Our server was really nice and attentive without being too attentive at all. The atmosphere was fine. Photos are of my Guinness and a half cup of the tasty soup. We'd definitely go back again.“
