walked in, didn’t feel super welcomed, kind of found myself a seat after a few minutes of looking lost. wish i had been pointed to a seat. sat for a few minutes until i realized i had to go to the bar for drinks. perhaps everything was out of sots due to the live event that was happening. i enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, only critique is i wish they had pointed me where to go because i don’t like feeling lost
This is a nice little spot to enjoy the best ESB in the province of Alberta…the DIPA is also very enjoyable.I liked it better before the expansion though because it felt more intimate and comfortable.

I have been a regular for a few years at HLB, and the staff/space is so lovely. The staff is great, they are kind and excellent at what they do.I have seen them handle difficult customers/situations with grace and kindness. And the ginger beer is amazing! Would recommend anyone to stop in, have a pint or two and stay for the incredible staff.
