Located in Chinatown, SSO YUMMY is a cozy little gem offering authentic Korean street food. This family-run spot has a basic, hole-in-the-wall setup, but the atmosphere is not its thing—the food is. Everything on the menu is great, with favorites like Bulgogi Kimbap, cold noodle, kimbap, rice cake, and bibimbap. The Bulgogi Kimbap is a comfort food that makes a bad day better, and it skips the burdock root. Dine in and get a bowl of fish cake soup on the side; takeout comes in adorable kimbap-themed paper. The food is tasty, authentic, and made with love. Prices are very fair and great for students. Service is friendly and nice, feeling like grandma’s home. The portions are generous, and the workers are all really nice. It’s a small, simple place—don’t expect luxury—but that’s what makes it special. Support locally owned. Five stars, no question.
