“I had been told my lots of people how good the food is so I decided to try it for our caregiver get togethers that we have. There was over forty of us I never heard one complaint about anything. “WOW! First time visit. I was very pleased with my meal. Homemade turkey soup, homemade hamburger steak and a slice of cheese cake (I blame that one on my server). Great service. “Really nice clean interior and the service was excellent. The counter attendant was very attentive and precise and even brought our food to us. We were handed our food less than 5 minutes after ordering. The burgers were hot and fresh and the ice cream was very well made and cleanly presented. Dairy Queen has always been just okay for me, but this place felt like a revelation. Best DQ experience and food I've ever had.“
“If you’re lucky enough to be in the beautiful town of Carstairs, Alberta on a warm sunny day you are absolutely required to hit up the baron. Eat at the tables outside, take it to the park, heck take it to a bench by the cemetery if you must, just enjoy this deliciousness and thank the heavens a place like this still exists. I spent two months in Carstairs in the summer of 2020 and i swear i ate the veggie burger every day. I ate so many they started inventing an entire secret vegan menu just for me. Next thing you know they were making me vegan pizza burgers, with vegan cheese and pineapples on it. Again, i was vegan and in Carstairs for two months, as you can imagine the options were pretty sparse. They went out of their way to do something special for me and I’ll never forget that. Amazing people, good food, great prices. i am a loyal subject of the baron.Vegetarian options: Veggie burgers, vegan cheese at least some of the time“
“Surprising gem just off the QE2 I'm Olds. Excellent food, fast service, very friendly staff. It has a wide variety of options and everything we've tried was great.Also try the bakery across the road for great treats afterwards.Kid-friendliness: Have a kids menu with slushies.“
“Nice clean restaurant - no issues.Food was delicious and served hot. Washrooms were clean and easily accessible.The pop machine has a lot of options but also a lot of flavors that are not available.Parking: Lots of parking spots but also was very busy at 3pm“
“My friend wanted a DQ ice cream cone. It was almost 8 pm. We hadn't eaten since breakfast. I was hungry. So, I ordered the full meal deal with chicken strips, fries, a rootbeer, and a small caramel sundae. The fries were exactly cooked the way I like. The drink was a bit weak, but the chicken strips were hot and JUICY. Highly unusual for fast food chicken strips.It is a 60-mile round trip to get to our nearest DQ , so I don't go very often, but I am never disappointed at this DQ. The food is always tasty, the service is good.“
“Passing through. Had a teen burger root beer and onion ring. The place clean service was excellent and the servers very friendly and polite.I wasn't sure about onion rings because they can be difficult to eat while driving. These were possibly the best onion rings I have ever eaten crispy hot firm . I actually had to phone home to rave about them. Bravo. See you next trip through.“

Be adventurous & give any of their special burgers a try. You won’t regret it. We are so happy to have them back after being closed some this year.
