“I assume a lot of their business is take out as there's a small eat in area but the food is amazingly delicious. Owner is so kind and gives very generous portions. Would recommend eating in to taste their home made soup(complementary) as a starter. 10/10“
“Food was exceptional the ramen. The one I had spinach noodles in it. Got one free refill for noodles. My partner had the braided beef flat noodlesThe soup was hot, noodles were Dan an. I don't know what it is in English but good noodles. The have a game room downstairs too. Good for friends /groups.Will be back more.“
“This was our first visit to this restaurant and I would give it a five stars. I found the atmosphere was very friendly and the food is very very delicious, we found out the chef is the owner so he knows what customers want. My husband and I definitely will be going back again, and the manager and waitress was very friendly. So I would suggest to everyone to try it out at least once you might just go back again. Anita and Jim Cowan“
“We ordered spicy beef noodle soup and it was so good. Good portion size with lots of meat and their noodles was extraordinary. I took a side of fried tofu and the sauce on that made it so delicious. My friend ordered beef handpulled noodles and that was super good too.“
“One of the hidden gems of Edmonton Indian food! The pakora was light and crispy, chicken was crispy and juicy, biryani was flavourful and addictive. Although the chairs were a little tall for the tables, the food was so good that it didn't bother us anyway.“
“OMG!!!!! Staffs are super friendly, feel very welcomed with warmth, and the food with this price...OMG...a combo, it's just too much of food but we couldn't stop eating, they are just amazingly good, the best Chinese food we ever tasted!! You can see how clean not only the restaurant is, but also you can literally see they use very fresh oil to fry, it's just amazing and taste super good!! We are going to be regular for sure and try every dish!!“
“I mean, what can I say. We went for the buffet, my extended family of 14. The decor is pretty over the top & in your face but at the same time... eclectic and well done. All the kids (7) had a blast and the owner came to our table repeatedly to say hello, take any feedback & to bring this and that for the kids to eat/drink/enjoy.The food was good. Just what you'd expect it to be for a buffet catered towards the kind of people who don't want to venture deeper into Chinatown“
“TOP CUSTOMER SERVICE AWARDAs a food delivery driver, I picked up there last Sunday for a customer. I was very impressed with the prices on the menu. I also felt very welcomed by the owner who took some time to chat with me about her small mom 'n pop family business. I ordered green onion cakes to go, while delivering. Last night, my wife and I went back for her specials at $10.99 each. The lemon chicken and homemade chicken balls were delicious and plentiful, and the chow mein was the best we had had in a very long time. We need to go back and try some of her other dishes.I THINK WE MAY HAVE FOUND OUR "GO TO" CHINESE TAKEOUT SPOT!!!EXCELLENT!!!!Parking: Typical strip mall type storefront with lots of parking. Short walk may be required. Takeout restaurant only.“
“Super helpful and friendly. Price fair for what you get. Had the ginger beef and it was fantastic. First visit and will definitely be going back. Tons of options, quick service and it beats getting the same old burgers when you want something quick.“
“The place is clean and neat, the staff are nice and friendly. The food is well served and in perfect portions at a reasonable price. Christian their operating partner is welcoming and friendly too! We will surely come back and book a gathering.“
“THE BEST HOTPOT I’VE EVER HAD❤️❤️❤️I’m a super hotpot person but here is the best one. I went at lunch time, and they have very good value. You can get some veggies with 5 foods which you can choose whatever you want. Usually, most hotpot place don’t include chinese golden buns in the plan, but they have it without additional amount❤️ I always get spiciest soup anytime, but their soup was enough spicy and I was so satisfied? I highly recommend this place.“
“Their staff are very friendly and speak English. I think the food quality has actually improved since they were located at their previous location. I love their big pot full of various noodles veggies fish and meat. Also love their hot and sour soup.“
“Amazing guest service and my server wins was amazing very nice and funny came 30 times before closing she was able to make me fresh food, they also have great music all the works were having fun I was able to request music as I was waiting for my food first time never having this kinda experience at a restaurant.“
“Great Taste , Good Quality , Excellent ServiceI think Chilli Peppers has them all. All the good we ordered were delicious, setting was quite calm and chill, service friendly and attentive. Put them all together, and how the service staff went above and beyond to make sure you had a good experience, trying to establish connection through little snippets of conversation perfected the afternoon. Special Mention Rohit for his exceptional Service“
“As soon as you step through the door, the tantalizing aroma of hotpot envelops you, instantly whetting your appetite. At Taste of Szechuan, you'll encounter an array of authentic Chinese hotpot ingredients rarely found elsewhere, including delicacies like pork brain and duck blood. While these may sound intimidating at first, trust me, they're surprisingly delicious. What sets Taste of Szechuan apart is their dedication to authenticity; their spicy soup base is meticulously handcrafted rather than relying on pre-made sauces. If you're a fan of spicy cuisine, I highly recommend indulging in their fiery creations.“
“Lucky Kitchen is one of our favourite restaurant in Edmonton to get some authentic Chinese food and dimsum. They have both Chinese and English menu and that makes ordering food so much easier, especially with pictures of the dishes shown clearly. We like to go after peak hours (on weekdays) so the place will be quiet and not so crowded. Staffs are friendly and are quick to serve the customers. The dishes we ordered were delicious, not too oily. Some of our favourites are Shanghai Noodles, Deep Fried Taro Dumplings with Pork, Steamed Dumplings, Steamed Beef Tripe, Seafood/ Chicken Chow Mein, Seafood Fried Rice and Salted Egg Yolk Cream Buns. Looking forward to try some other dishes next time like Durian Pastry and Steamed Curry Squid!“
“This is a fantastic take out place, the food is hot and fresh and good quality. Lots of food, ordered meal for three and for sure four people could share. Staff are friendly and helpful. I have been here a couple times now and will be back for take out or delivery they would be hard to beat.“
“Definitely the best Chinese restaurant in Edmonton. Flavours are fantastic, staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean and welcoming. This is an underrated and undefeated spot for Chinese food and always will be ! HIGHLY recommend the Mongolian beef, Korean chicken and Szechuan noodles. We get them every time and they’re always 10/10.“
“I had a dinner at Fu’s the other night and although it was a pretty average night in Edmonton, my company and I still quite enjoyed our dinner.I personally think its what Edmonton needs more of in the night life culture. The atmosphere reminded me of a place in Vancouver I went to awhile ago, which is a positive thing because Vancouver definitely has a better nightlife than Edmonton. The last aspect that I liked was having a maximum dining time as well as being required to book. It keeps the place exclusive enough so no one can just walk up and get a table plus it limits customers so you know you will still have a chance to get in Saturday without waiting long.I thought the food was good along with the drinks (On expensive side) but overall I think Fu’s Repair shop has some serious potential to be an Edmontons weekend “Go-To” spot.“
“If you're anything like me, when you're in the mood to go for Vietnamese food, there are no shortages of Vietnam restaurants available in Edmonton to satisfy your cravings. My wife and I are no strangers to many of these restaurants because it's one of our staples at least several times a month. Each restaurant has its own unique dish(es) so if you're anything like me, I take note of what dish each place is famous for...(at least to me and my wife). Hands down, the spring rolls will be Golden Bird. Salad Rolls would be Siam Thai Restaurant, but in this case, we decided we wanted Pho. And the best place to go for Pho, is Calgary Trail Restaurant in Edmonton. When you first walk in the decor is exactly the same as it was some 20 years ago, so it does need to be updated, but I don't come for the atmosphere...I come for exceptionally good food at a price that is totally fair for what you get. The gentleman who owns the establishment is always very quiet but when you get him talking he's really quite funny. I automatically ordered their very special Vietnamese iced coffee to start. If you haven't tried it before then you're in for a treat. Each restaurant uses their own espresso blend but Calgary Trail Restaurant uses (in my opinion) the best, which makes it outstanding. My wife on the other hand ordered the 3 colors Vietnamese drink. A traditional coconut based concoction that uses red bean and grass jelly, which creates a kaleidoscope of colors in your glass. It's really quite delicious. We invited 2 other friends to join us and I ordered the spring rolls and salad rolls to get the evening off to a good start. My wife ordered the very unusual Dill Fish Cake soup. She described her soup as a delicate but flavorful broth, that came with tender fish cake patties infused with a wonderful dill flavor. She absolutely loved it. I ordered my usual... number 118. Sweet and sour soup with Shrimp and Chicken. This place absolutely knocks this soup out of the park. With the sweet chunks of tomato and pineapple combined with spicy chicken broth with good sized prawns and chunks of chicken breast. A real satisfying meal that makes you leave nothing in the bowl at the end. It's so delicious, that it will be a soup that not only satisfies you but it literally nourishes the soul. It's our go to place when we want great food in a virtually quiet atmosphere. This place should be packed but unfortunately it never is. This is one place that will give you value for your hard earned money. So I suggest anyone reading this should patronize Calgary Trail Restaurant. If not, we may lose a hidden gem forever.“
“Food tasted great and staff were fantastic! Very social and over all great vibe.Unfortunately the food didn't agree with me later in the day but that's probably just me. I'd still recommend coming here and I'd go again regardless.Pricing was fantastic as well.“
“What a fun experience to be had. If you haven't been; you chose your base broth, they have a line up of fresh ingredients you use to season it how you like. Then you chose your dishes you cook in the broth! The servers are great at ensuring you aren't running out of food to cook. Lots of tables, clean and well lit. Because of location parking can be a bit hard to find.“
“This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. The food is cooked well. The vegetables are cooked but still crunchy. The chow mein was perfect. Saucy but easy on the fat and salt. I left feeling full but not heavy from too much greece. The waitress was lovely.“
“it's been a while since I was able to make in time to enjoy a full 10 course meals for an occasion. I have to say it was absolutely phenomenal I don't remember it being so good since it's been that long. I believe there are new owners now, the service the food was superb, the setting environment was clean and comfortable. can't wait to celebrate the next occasion here!“
“Ordered for 20 people.....food was excellent...have ordered for 2 people in the pass and it doesn't matter if it's 2 or 20.....food has the same quality. Staff are very polite.....food was ready at the exact time they said it would be. A great experience all around. Also they say the catering served 20....you could definitely feed more with the amount you get.“
“A surprising gem! Being Chinese myself, I was initially a bit skeptical about the authenticity of the Chinese food here because it seemed more catered towards a Western audience, but I ordered some dishes recommended by the owners and was blown away by how good they were. I highly recommend their fried rice, beef with flat rice noodles, and nacho wontons. The food was very delicious and had that authentic "fire of the wok" taste. The nacho wontons were a very unique Mexican- Chinese fusion appetizer. The service was also attentive and super nice. Highly recommended!“
“Best Chinese restaurant in Edmonton. Their peach shrimp which was fried shrimp and peach with creamy sauce was amazing?? You should definitely try it. I tried chow mein and sweet and sour spareribs were ok, but I guess they have better options. I highly recommend this restaurant especially when you want to crave Chinese food ❤️“
“The Chinese food is considered to be of a high standard and is worthy of being sought after.Dietary restrictions: Eat three kinds of dragon and glutinous rice. The soup is sweet and sweet, the fried balls are fresh and smooth, and the steamed black bean sauce is delicious. It is worth recommending.“
“If you want a friendly, authentic food, reasonable prices and generous portions this is the place My girlfriend and I ordered 2 items for lunch and had enough left overs for each of us to take home. The food was served hot and pretty quick. There was plenty of free parking and the restaurant and bathroom were clean. CAsH ONLY. Have no fear they have an ATM?“
“Amazing food, great service, and big portions. I think it says something when every item on the menu is can’t be faulted while providing attentive service and great atmosphere.Bring more friends, you can try more and still bring leftovers home for later!“
“I had the lemongrass chicken bowl, chicken was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked! My daughter had the lemongrass vegetarian option, with tofu. The tofu was so oily, making it unappetizing. Perhaps the oil was not hot enough before being used?My son had the beef Pho. The beef and broth were nicely flavoured.Nice selection of tasty bubble teas.“
“THE BEST JAJANG MYUN PLACE IN EDMONTON? I’m a big fan of this place from 7 years ago. I always order jajang myun which is Korean black bean sauce noodle and Tang Su Yuk which is Korean fried pork with sour sauce. Both of them are still amazing?????? The noodle is fresh and the sauce is mild. The pork is crispy and it’s a perfect match with sauce. The staff is warmly kind too. I highly recommend this place.“
“If you like fresh and spicy food, I definitely recommend the Malatang rice noodles and Huajia rice noodles~ This is also my favorite~ They also have their milk tea, which is delicious! Some time ago, the store also launched Northern delicacies such as porridge-based hot pot, Spring Festival set menu, pot-wrapped pork, piglet quilt, etc. Looking forward to the next new product, haha~“
“Best noodle house in Edmonton! There was zero wait, we ordered, got our water, settled in and just started to talk and the food was coming out. I had the #20 so flavourful and I was left feeling full my partner had #18, I got to try it and usually would not like it but I loved it. Being indigenous and having an insane fascination with macaroni, I had to order #10 for a side dish. There was zero room for anything else. The portions were more than fair. Outstanding and I’ve not had the flavours anywhere else. The owners were sweet and friendly. Lift your chopsticks and enjoy! ?“
“We just happened to be in that area when my husband and I decided to try out Masala wok. Although the ambience wasn't that great, the Chinese we ordered was good! We ordered Hakka noodles and schezwan chicken. We are definitely going back!Edit: editing in 2024. Food quality has gone down.“
“This is one of the best Chinese restaurants we had been to in Edmonton if not the best. We had a group of eight people and spent eight days in Edmonton. Seven days out of the eight days we ate at Dim Sum Delight Chinese Cuisine for lunch/dinner(One day they were off). We all loved the food, services, and the kindness of the people at this restaurant. We traveled 7000 miles from Hong Kong to come to Edmonton and immediately, this restaurant made us felt like home. The freshness, taste and authenticity of the food were second to none. Everything we ordered was excellent. The portions were generous with reasonable price. We had their Dim Sums and their daily specials both lunch and dinner. Their hot and sour soup and the pork rice were one of our favorites. We did not miss a day without ordering both dishes. Besides the amazing taste of the food, the friendliness and kindness of the owners of this restaurant had made us want to go back every day. Despite the unbelievably cold weather in Edmonton, they made all of us felt warm in Edmonton. These are some of the most wonderful people that own/work at this restaurant. We had tried other Chinese restaurants in Edmonton, but Dim Sum Delight was by far the best. If you are looking for amazing food, wonderful service and reasonable prices, Dim Sum Delight is the place to go.“
“Excellent Chinese handpulled and hand-cut noodles. The sliced noodles had such a satisfying chew and collected the flavorful chili oil so perfectly, and the beef was delicious. I only wish they had more options with beef or lamb rather than pork — I’d LOVE to try their Chinese burger but don’t eat pork.Vegetarian options: Plenty of meat-free options, including noodles with egg and tomato or just with chili oil.“
“Have driven by this restaurant hundreds of time, but never gone in. Finally tried it and was super impressed!!! The green onion cakes, salad rolls, and vermicelli bowls??? All delicious!!! I felt that the portions were generous and the prices very reasonable.Don't be misled by the appearance of the restaurant .... this place is well worth it. We will definitely be returning!!!!“
“We were happy with our whole experience here. We came here as soon as we arrived in Edmonton and after driving for 3 hours we were all starving and the food came very quickly. We got everything we ordered in a timely manner. Our server ( a guy wearing glasses) was very nice. We’ll be back next time we are in town.“
“From Leduc and was looking for some Chinese food. Found this restaurant and thought we would give it a try. Everyone thought the food was fantastic and will definitely be ordering from here again. Tony was great to deal with, food was hot and tons of flavour.“
“I ordered salt and pepper squid and it's the best I ever had by far. I finished my take out right even before get home. It's my favourite dish so I know what I'mtalking about. Soft not gooey squid meat in the inside while thin and crispy breading on the outside. Perfectly seasoned. The serving is plenty and they used big calamari slices. Not much fillers like fried tofu/veggies like I know in other places. So it's a good try if you like the dish. I'm for sure coming back.“
“They use TONS OF VEGGIES I hope you like broccoli ? ? they don't skimp on the meat ether. There chicken balls are great and anything deep fried never tastes greasy/fishy or leave you feeling heavy. Prices are very fair and they have a pile of options.“
“Had lunch here the other day. Didn't have to wait for a table which was nice. Ordered the braised beef soul large. It was gigantic! So many noodles, and thr broth was delightful. Although not much meat. The meat that was present was very good though. Also ordered some skewers. Lamb, squid, and Taiwanese sausage. We got the squid without any spice and I recommend getting it spiced haha I wish they had free refills on soda instead of just cans.Otherwise it was a nice outing to come here.“
“Met the Sunny the soon to be Chief he recommended we try the smoked strip loin and the prime rib. This was hands down the best meal we ever ate! Thank you everyone for making this a great experience. Would highly recommend this restaurant!“
“I came here with my family after some appointments and we each got a delicious plate of food. My toddler rather enjoyed the noodles and carrots and meat, along with the juice box, while we adults liked our plates as well. There was ample parking and the kid liked watching the staff cook. I have long enjoyed Oodle Noodle and this location is no exception. Clean and bright, there is limited seating but it seemed ample for the space.“
“Got there pretty early for a Saturday ~11am but already a majority of the bun flavours were sold out and they weren’t planning on making more for the day.The flavor I did get was the dill one which honestly was pretty good though not my preferred. So very juicy! So much so that it leaked in the takeout box and when you take a bite. The bun was subtlety sweet with a nice bounce.“
“I ordered spicy beef fried rice, 2 spring rolls, and chicken fried rice for delivery:) I knew when i opened that spicy beef fried rice it was gonna be amazing. I asked them to make it as spicy as they could and I also got chili sauce on the side. The flavors, spiciness and the presentation was so beautiful. Seeing those chili peppers made my day lol. They achieved exactly what i asked for and i’m so thankful for that. The food came hot and the flavors of everything was spectacular. My boyfriend got his chicken fried rice mild spicy and he said it was amazing as well. The fact that it was this amazing delivered I couldn’t even imagine how good it would be dining in. Really made my day I absolutely loved everything! Thankyou for achieving my spice level:)“
“If you’re looking for a great western style Chinese restaurant this is where you want to be. The food is great, the value is worth it , and the customer service is 10/10. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a go to Chinese food spot.“
“I recently celebrated a special occasion at Himalayan Village, and it was a memorable experience! The staff went above and beyond to make the evening truly special, and the food was outstanding. Can't wait to return for more culinary delights“
