“I’m not a fan of sushi but ReHaru is where my granddaughter wanted to go for her birthday lunch. The atmosphere was delightful and the food was excellent! Our server was full of personality and provided excellent service which earned him a very generous tip (60%). I highly recommend this restaurant as one of the best in Anchorage!“
“This is a hidden gem. It does not look inviting on the outside but the atmosphere is well thought out and private booths with privacy screens. The staff is always well groomed, polite and attentive. The food is generous and delicious. Lovely stop in “
“An incredible spot offering a wide array of fresh nigiri, rolls, and Japanese cuisine. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here, savoring every delightful dish. While the server was a bit slow to provide menus and there was a slight wait for all the dishes to arrive, their friendliness and kindness made up for it. I highly recommend visiting with a large group of family or friends to soak in the fantastic atmosphere. The authenticity and quality of the food were outstanding, and the prices were reasonable. Overall, a fantastic dining experience! Yum yummmm推推!“
“I love this place. The waitress is always friendly; the restaurant is small but very cozy and great for a casual meal. Weekends are busy, so bring your patience and prepare to wait a few if you want to eat in. The atmosphere is relaxing and has a nostalgia, like home vibes while eating (what I feel is Japanese confort food ). The menu is not vast (ramen, katsu, sushi, appetizers, beer), but I feel that's another reason this establishment has been able to maintain its core patrons. The food is always good, even though I get the same thing every time. (Katsu curry and gyoza!)“
“Honestly, I don’t go out my way to write a review for any restaurant I go to, but Samurai Sushi has impressed me every time I’ve visited. Hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had anywhere in the states. The service is always stellar and the staff always make me feel welcome. The building is clean and recently updated. Everything is perfect, I always recommend samurai sushi to my friends and they’re always blown away. If you are a sushi lover and want to eat somewhere where the staff love their product come eat here. They should be looked up upon as the standard for excellent customer service and food quality.“
“Me and my husband have been going here for the past 6 years. This is our go to sushi spot. The sushi is of great quality and it's right by the house. Definitely the best sushi in my option on east side. Always feel welcomed whenever we go!“
“Miso sushi does not have as fancy of an atmosphere as you can find at other local sushi establishments. However the food is five star across the board! The spicy tuna is immaculate. The sashimi is fresh, they have a huge variety and the quality is always above par.“
“We love going here, we have gone often and we are never disappointed. I will always chose this restaurant as my go-to for sushi. Recommend to anyone who wants delicious sushi and warm comforting tea! You must try to tea if you like tea. It’s the best tea I’ve ever had. My husband doesn’t like tea, and even he has multiple cups when we go here. It’s the best!“
“the food was awesome, this place seemed to stay busy the whole time we were there. we had a California roll and a hot pot. They were both very good. The service was very good too, fast and attentive. Im sure this place will be visited agian on our next trip.“
“My husband loves sushi so we visited this place, it was a little hide, from the front looks like it’s closed. The food was incredible, the chef was so attentive with us in every moment. The only thing we didn’t enjoyed much was this woman (maybe his wife?) singing very loud some karaoke all the time and then talking (almost screaming because of the volume of the music) with someone else in the phone, that was not comfortable. Other than that the chef did an amazing job with our food, it felt really authentic.“
“My absolutely most favorite sushi spot in town! My husband and I come here quite often. We love the coziness of this place. The chef is always friendly. He knows what we like and prepares it to perfection! Sashimi is always fresh! Also if we want to come for special occasion, like our birthdays or anniversary, and ask him to prepare something that is not even on their menu, he will do it. We once reserved a table for our anniversary, asked to get us steaks and oysters, and, oh boy, those were the best meals we have ever ate there. I highly recommend to give this place a try. A+“
“I was so sad we had so little time here. I cannot wait to go back. Beautiful decor, super clean, amazing service. The food!! Oh my goodness. We only had time to split one roll, but it was in the top 5 we had EVER had. Highly, highly recommend!!“
“My friends and I were visiting Alaska for a fishing trip and came to eat here as we headed back to the airport to return home. Food was delicious (hot and juicy chicken) and they provide generous portions ensuring that even the heartiest of appetites are left satisfied. Friendly service and nice clean space - bathrooms clean too! Overall, my experience was nothing short of fantastic - the spicy chicken teriyaki is a must try - only if you can handle the spice (it has a kick for sure!). And the warm family-owned establishment makes this place all the more special. Will definitely be coming back whenever I visit Alaska again (close to airport so makes it easy!)“
“Quick friendly service and a variety of Japanese lunch style bowls and rolls.I love this lunch stop. The bowls have plenty of meat, rice and fresh veggies. I like Ryuu’s food so much I often schedule my errands around town to be there for my lunch. Now that is a sign of serious delight for me! ?“
“GREAT SERVICE AND BEAUTIFUL VIEWS. The Anchorage airport has incredible views and this restaurant is privy to them. The food was very good but the service was excellent. Helpful with advice on the menu and explained the many different rolls. Had the OMG roll and the monster roll. Both were made in front of me and were very good. This is a great place for a quick bite between flights.“
“Cute, cozy and attentive service. Good selection of sushi and warm dishes, but if you're a fan of crunch rolls, I'd try another place. Delicious and unique appetizers.Nice place for a quick lunch or connecting with friends. It's low key and family friendly.“
“From starters - when walking in, you see a very beautiful fish tank filled with what I believe are Garibaldi fish! They are super cute and almost seem like they attempt to follow you! The seats are nice and cushiony and it's not very crowded! The food was delicious! We had the girlfriend roll, which we ate all of, and it filled us up quickly before even getting to our main meal! The wait time was a bit long, but it helped us regain some hunger for our main meal. The workers were very kind and didn't need us to repeat our menu orders and actually got it all correct! I highly recommend this place“
“The best sushi I’ve ever had in my life. The service is outstanding. The oysters were so good we had two orders of them. The 911 roll was perfect. The scallop sashimi fresh. It was a treat taking my husband after years of hearing about it. He said it was the best sushi he ever had also.“
“I really appreciate them to keep their food authentic even though it's easy to compromise its authenticity just to please some of the locals who are just too ignorant to know that an authentic bowl of ramen noodles should come with soft-boiled egg not hard-boiled egg. The owner got yelled at by some ignorant locals who don't have a clue that this should come with soft boiled egg Not hard boiled egg. Whoever did that to them should be ashamed of themselves! Those troglodytes should learn to do their own research so as to know what an authentic bowl of ramen noodles should be.“
