“An incredible spot offering a wide array of fresh nigiri, rolls, and Japanese cuisine. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here, savoring every delightful dish. While the server was a bit slow to provide menus and there was a slight wait for all the dishes to arrive, their friendliness and kindness made up for it. I highly recommend visiting with a large group of family or friends to soak in the fantastic atmosphere. The authenticity and quality of the food were outstanding, and the prices were reasonable. “Miso sushi does not have as fancy of an atmosphere as you can find at other local sushi establishments. However the food is five star across the board! The spicy tuna is immaculate. The sashimi is fresh, they have a huge variety and the quality is always above par.“

Hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had anywhere in the states. The service is always stellar and the staff always make me feel welcome. The building is clean and recently updated. “I wanted to grab a quick bite and discovered this place. The restaurant wasn’t too busy. It’s a hidden gem and a great spot to enjoy a nice cozy and quiet meal. I ordered takeout: avocado roll and vegetable tempura. The avocado roll was perfect and had a wonderful texture. The vegetable tempura was perfectly fried, not too heavy or oily. It came with 2 pieces of asparagus and a piece of onion, carrot, pumpkin and zucchini. Both orders were delicious and incredibly rich in flavor. Their service was fast and the staff extremely friendly. I placed the order and within 15 min it was ready. Overall an absolutely fantastic experience and I will definitely be coming back!“
“My absolutely most favorite sushi spot in town! My husband and I come here quite often. We love the coziness of this place. The chef is always friendly. He knows what we like and prepares it to perfection! Sashimi is always fresh! Also if we want to come for special occasion, like our birthdays or anniversary, and ask him to prepare something that is not even on their menu, he will do it. We once reserved a table for our anniversary, asked to get us steaks and oysters, and, oh boy, those were the best meals we have ever ate there. I highly recommend to give this place a try. A+“

“We went here for our daughter's birthday with a party of 12 and everybody loved the food. I have to say the food i ordered, the General tso's chicken platter, was amazing and their menu also has a enormous selection of sushi rolls to choose from. The service was great, the atmosphere was very "asian cuisine like". If I had to critique one thing I'd say that their miso soup was a little too salty but besides that... on point!Kid-friendliness: Out of a party of 12 nine of them were kids and everything surprisingly went pretty well ?“

Helpful with advice on the menu and explained the many different rolls. Had the OMG roll and the monster roll. Both were made in front of me and were very good. This is a great place for a quick bite between flights.“

“I have been to Tempura Express a couple of times . In Alaska, it seems that there are a couple of restaurants that sell the same stuff but the taste is always different .HERE ? There food is always cooked by order so you know you are getting quality .My to go favorite ? Crunch Roll, Mongolian Beef, Egg Foo Yung, Spam Musubi and Sesame Chicken .Kid-friendliness: They have a Kid Menu and that's always a good thing ! Knowing that my son doesn't have to be intimidate by the menu and the portions is still good as well .“
“Ive been a few times in the last few months and they have great food! Too bad they close half an hour before they actually close? I came in at 9:30pm and was told they only did take out after 9:30pm so I went outside and looked up the menu to order the website was not cooperating and the menu has to be downloaded vs being able to view it on the site. At 9:40pm I called to place the order and was told they weren't accepting orders. Maybe the hours should be adjusted according to that or maybe they should post a sign that they close before they actually close? Maybe it is and I didn't see it? After many years in the food industry I don't quite understand being open but not operational. sad and dissapointed.“
“From starters - when walking in, you see a very beautiful fish tank filled with what I believe are Garibaldi fish! They are super cute and almost seem like they attempt to follow you! The seats are nice and cushiony and it's not very crowded! The food was delicious! We had the girlfriend roll, which we ate all of, and it filled us up quickly before even getting to our main meal! The wait time was a bit long, but it helped us regain some hunger for our main meal. The workers were very kind and didn't need us to repeat our menu orders and actually got it all correct! I highly recommend this place“

“The best sushi I’ve ever had in my life. The service is outstanding. The oysters were so good we had two orders of them. The 911 roll was perfect. The scallop sashimi fresh. It was a treat taking my husband after years of hearing about it. He said it was the best sushi he ever had also.“
“I’m not a fan of sushi but ReHaru is where my granddaughter wanted to go for her birthday lunch. The atmosphere was delightful and the food was excellent! Our server was full of personality and provided excellent service which earned him a very generous tip (60%). I highly recommend this restaurant as one of the best in Anchorage!“
