“This is an awesome place! The food was great and the service spectacular. They made us feel at home and like we were part of the family, even though it was our first visit.Vegetarian options: Option for off menu veggie foodKid-friendliness: High chairs, booster seats, kid friendly menu“
“Super cute place. I had the Union Chez Burger with fries. The fried leeks on the burger were a great touch. The reviews are right, get the ketchup and the ranch! There were so many delicious looking desserts that it was hard to choose. We ended up going with the strawberry cream cheese roll. It was angel food cake rolled up with cream cheese and strawberries and topped with either turbinado or cane sugar. So good! The food came up very fast after placing our order.“
“We were so hungry and trying to find someplace to eat after the drive back from Chena Hot Springs. We were able to get a table right away at 9pm and were paid and leaving by 10. Service was very efficient; my burger was delicious and cooked to “
“Absolutely was not expecting to find a stellar craft cocktail bar in AK! I popped in on a whim purely because of the name and am so glad that I did. The cocktails are top-notch and could easily compete with those found in big cities in the lower 48. Try a few of them and walk or grab a ride. I also had the chicken pesto flatbread, which was divine.“
“What a gem! We were so excited to go back to Fairbanks and see the northern lights but a close second was going to mom’s again. We went three times during our 5 day stay this time and it never disappoints. All of the Asian selections are amazing, as are the burgers. I love the jalapeño poppers too, best I have ever had. It is inside a little sports bar but don’t let that fool you. This is some of the best food you will have, in any city. By the way mom’s staff… you should really consider selling that homemade soy sauce. Sooooooo amazing. God bless you guys and thank you.“
“Excellent food, fantastic gluten free options. I love getting take out from here and when I do eat at the restaurant the service is always wonderful. They also have a station with hand sanitizer and take precautions to keep the diners safe. One of my favorite places to eat.“
“This place is above and beyond!!! The green burger is the ultimate burger expirence!! And the staff are friendly and not overwhelming!!!I would definitely go again..did I mention the prices are unbeatable for the quality of food and service .this is by far the best resteraunt I've been to in fairbanksKid-friendliness: They have a kids menu and it is nice to know I can take my daughter to a more upscale resteraunt for a decent meal!“
“Atmosphere is like a good ‘ol American diner with a trucker vibe to it. Very friendly staff, and great meals. The Boo-boo burger was delicious with its jalapeños, mushrooms, teriyaki sauce, and everything else that comes with a usual burger. They also sell merchandise as well. Would recommend!“
“Dined in , staff are amazing and refill your drinks as fast as you drink, favorite food is even the kids meals filling if you are not that hungry , they make amazing soup daily …portions are large , expect left over fir next day! A few Wait staff have been there for several years !“
“The very last stop for a good while & the last stop if you are heading further north to see the Aurora Borealis. Not as big as the stores back home, but everyone is friendly & the pies are famous. A cashier asked me where I was from cause I sounded different from most up there. Turns out she was from Pass Christian, MS & tan into another Mississippian way up here!“
“Perfect stop for us as we transitioned from traveling to the start of our stay in Fairbanks.I had a French dip sandwich with a really good green salad. I regretted not ordering a bigger salad and just skipping the heavy sandwich. My husband had a burger and very average fries (frozen, not fresh potatoes). The burger was good and hefty. The service was fine--it wasn't busy, and our food came out quickly. The atmosphere was average bar interior design--nothing stood out as exceptional or as glaring. I doubt we will return when in the area but our lunch was pleasant.“
“The waitresses were great, funny and on the ball, the steaks were perfectly seasoned and cooked, but the chef Ky spoiled us with the amazing cheesecake that he decorated with strawberries even though it wasn't on the list. We will for sure be back!!!“
“C&J'a is our familys favorite restaurant, the food is always great, the prices are reasonable, the restaurant is always clean. the wait staff are friendly and welcoming. they also have great shakes. when ever we have out of town visitor this is our go to resturant never had anyone not rave about how good it is“
“Best anniversary dinner I could have asked for being at Latitude 65! Chef curated a perfect menu for the Meals on Wheels fundraiser. Everything about this restaurant is perfection. Absolute best place to eat in Fairbanks, no competition. Will definitely become regulars when they reopen in August. Thank you to everyone at Latitude 65 who made our experience memorable last night!“
“Cozy log cabin with great food and excellent service. Had "The Hammer" (King, Snow and Dungeness Crab, mussels, shrimp, reindeer sausage, corn on the cob and a ciabatta roll). Next time I'm in town I'll be stopping again.“
“Great place, tip your batista if that's what you call them (of course drunk typing this) great place during the Alaskan winter when I go. Smoke area full of entertainment if your alone Ike I am. Normally with groups it's hell'uve fun. Either way it's a great experience that's one not to be forgotten even if you have the worst hangover over“
“So good we went both days we were in Fairbanks. Bloody Marys were great. Second day I got their famous meatball sub and it is the best one I’ve ever had.One star off for minor stuff:- better communications w customers as they wait for tables during busy time- some rooms are fun and edgy and others seem like they have yet to get that same lived-in decorated look.Overall = I will go every time I am in Fairbanks.“
“After all the pricey restaurants in the area, meaning Alaska, we just more normal pricing and food. Took a chance on this restaurant and the food was great, the prices probably 30% less than fancy restaurants. Would highly recommend this one!“
“I did a lot of work on the BAKERY . and made it as beautiful as I could . it's a nice restaurant and the people that own it are the greatest people around . I enjoyed working with them and I would work with them more. the food is spectacular. John runs a clean efficient RESTAURANT . and his help is great thay are helpful courteous very knowledgeable . Both restaurants there is plenty of food. you almost want to go back for seconds. And if you like sushi there is a new restaurant upstairs it is called the NINJA SUSHI. it is spectacular food and the people that run it is just as spectacular. And the food is great. and I didn't even like sushi . taking a family member or a loved one or just a group of friends. it's a very nice restaurant . and you will enjoy the atmosphere . and the food.“
“Honestly, the best meal we had during our time in Fairbanks and we had a LOT of good meals. We got lucky and got in without a reservation, but knowing what I do now, I would make a reservation if I went back. The food was outstanding. In fact, the crab legs were SO good, that I refused to order them at any other restaurant as there is no way that they could be better. The staff was fantastic and the ambiance very nice. While it was a little pricey, we walked away feeling that it was worth every penny. We told anyone that we spoke with about it while there and several took our advice and went, sharing very similar reactions. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant. Best place we went during our week plus in Fairbanks!“
“*Edit*Back again in 2023 and Steve is the best bartender/server! We’re going to miss you! Thanks for the laughs and stiff drinks!2021 - We stayed at the Westmark for a over a week and had lunch and dinner at the Red Lantern many times. Our favorites were the Ribeye, prime rib sandwich, fettuccine, burgers, and dinner salads. The bartenders and servers were friendly and well versed in menu items. Would definitely recommend.“
“This review is purely on the Bar/Lounge side, not the restaurant side. Visited on a Saturday evening, most visitors I would assume are hotel guests most of whom are labor hands driving to/from the north, so that gives you an idea of the crowd. This is probably the better lounges in town, open and plenty of seating. The bar is tiny but packs a punch. It may not have have a big barside but they can make just about any cocktail you want... thus, no physical menu. That's may bit annoying for someone who isn't a usual drinker and needs a list to choose from. Also, had no clue how they charge for drinks. Food was surprisingly good, not sure why I had low expectations. The food came out at a reasonable rate. We had pulled pork nachos, foccacia bread and calamari. All were great. Service was relatively good. We weren't waited on very much, I'm guessing just typical evening traffic and chaos, but the ladies who did serve were very friendly and nice.Get the peanut butter pie. You won't regret it.“
“Great buffet breakfast, plenty of choices. Reindeer sausage is on the menu, really tasty. They seat you. Located inside the Westmark hotel. We had super good service. The waitress(SHOUT OUT) was very informative, a wealth of info. She was glad to see us when said we were from Maryland. She was born in Maryland.“
“Went in for their Easter buffet and it was very good food, excellent service and very crowded.Obviously the secret is out...Parking: Parking is fine, but it was a little tricky getting to the restaurant, my Google maps took me to a dead end but I figured it out... for anyone looking for good food I suggest you don't give up...the food is very goodWheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible“
