I have enjoyed 10+ tex-mex joints in Texas for all these years.
But this little shop is by far one of the most authentic and filling place.
Flavorful steak, crispy fried shrimp and tender chicken.
Tl;dr Do recommend! Will visit again!”

“I came to Tuscaloosa to see my doctor which I traveled 3.5 hrs to get to ! My daughter had been telling me how we should go to this restaurant when we get into town and I’m glad we did !!!! “Was working in Tuscaloosa and a restaurant with a two hour wait recommended the River. We had the steak filet and the seared tuna. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. The service was outstanding and the whole experience was just classy and comfortable. Brussel sprouts were on special for an appetizer, they were the best we’ve ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant.”
