“I like going to the Hoover library and reading or working and East 59 is in the back of the Plaza. I've tried it a couple of times and I would say their iced latte is pretty good. I would say it's not super strong coffee so usually i mostly taste the mocha or the milk I ask for, but it is good if you're just looking for a quick coffee and chill and read a book. I usually order iced drinks only so I can't speak to the hot drinks, but each time I've gotten coffee, I've been pleased. The staff is really friendly and helpful so that's a plus!“
“We're staying at the Hyatt overnight and decided to have dinner here tonight. We read some of the reviews and were a little reluctant. I'm so glad we decided to try this establishment. Our server Latauren (I hope the spelling is correct) forgive me if it's not. She worked the evening shift on Wednesday April 10, 2024, she was so helpful, friendly and professional with assisting us. Answered all our questions and was always checking on us. We had the crab cakes for an appetizer then the ceasar salad with shrimp. Also the smash burger with grilled onions and french fries. Topped it off some carrot cake for dessert. What an amazing dinner from the cook that evening, we will make sure to stay and eat here again when we're in town again.“

“We have had our company party here for the last couple of years. We have 20 seated in their party room. A little cramped but still workable for all those folks. Food and service has been outstanding!! Any food choice will be above average but the Apple beignets are a must have and truly special.“
“Church Street Coffee and Books is a quaint, local coffee shop and book store in Crestline Village area of Mountainbrook. The coffee is good, the service is personal, and the cookies and other items are delicious. It's a great place to read and study. The setting and atmosphere are what sets it apart.“

“Food is consistently good. The brisket is always fantastic. The service can be a little hit or miss, but never terrible. Parking can be difficult at busy times but it’s in a pretty happening area. “My lady friend and I made reservations late for a table but we did get seats at the bar and really enjoyed chatting with the two bartenders! We both ordered chicken scaloppine piccata and it was delicious. The servings were big so we had plenty left over for another meal! The service was very good. “We were looking for an authentic Alabama lunch experience and found it with Ted’s. We arrived towards the end of the lunch service and found them friendly and welcoming upon entering the space. Free, ample parking, available seating and staff smiles helped us feel at home from the moment we entered. The vegetables were my favorite and immediately took me back to my great aunt’s cooking. Prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend.“

“I had to order breakfast for Mountain Brook Junior High Band. I unfortunately waited until the last minute. I went to a couple of other places that made doughnuts and they scoffed when I asked for the order. I then went to Magic Muffins- they were SO accommodating. They placed the order and will have it ready for me early tomorrow morning so I can bring it to the school. It has been so long since any business was this nice and helpful to me! I can't recommend them enough (I also LOVE their banana nut muffins!)“

I visit this location frequently and the only negative is when you walk in there its an odor not sure what it is from but there is one that is strong…you can smell it when you walk in the door and it never goes away. “We were on the road back from florida to indianapolis and found this gem on our way. The food was awesome so the oweners. Tried Safron rice , naan , mutton kadhai and the taste was so good that we ended up packing for dinner.. The lady owner offered me some biriyani and nihari as a good gesture amd she didnt charge for those… Loved it…“
