“20240327 ? 20% tip was already included in my bill. When I was paying with my credit card, it asked for tip. So I tipped $30 for $140 total, not knowing that 20% tip was included!! ? Good thing Ricardo was great, and with Bidenomics... the extra tip might help Ricardo out. I guess I should check my bills in the future.20240326 so happy this restaurant is dogfriendly. In town for a day and wanted a nice meal with my friend and her family. Ricardo was the best waiter. He was attentive, and very polite and nice. The food was delicious. I really like the stuffed grouper.”
“It was our last day in Birmingham and we wanted something good to eat after leaving church. After performing a brunch search on Yelp I stumbled across Biscuit Belly - Hoover and the food pictures alone had me excited to try it out. Finding the location was super simple as it sits in the plaza. As it sits in the plaza there is ample parking which makes it an even better option. Upon walking in, the space is very vibrant and visually appealing. The Biscuit Belly themed artwork is very eye-catching and adds a boutique design feel to the space. The establishment was very clean and they made great use of the space which allows for ample seating. Once you walk in, you grab a menu off the wall and head to the register to place your order. Once your order is placed, if you are choosing to dine-in, you take your number and head to your table. Super quick process with the customer in mind as it allows for the best use of time as it pertains to the overall flow of the order taking. The young man who took my order at the register was very nice. He welcomed me to Biscuit Belly - Hoover with a huge smile and as it was my first time ever, he was patient and offered me some insight into the menu options and helped me make my order selection. Super kudos as I didn’t feel rushed or as if I was being a bother. He allowed my excitement to be excitement as he aided me in my choices. After speaking with him I decided to get, The Boozy Bird - Buttermilk fried chicken breast served with bourbon maple syrup and Praline Mocha - Mocha with caramel, whipped cream and topped with pralines One Word… ASTONISHING!!! The Boozy Bird had the best Buttermilk Fried Breast known to man. The breast was moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The seasoning blend was perfect for the breast and paired well with the coating. Though the chicken was amazing, the Biscuit stole the show. Hear me when I say, the biscuit is a well crafted, southern delicacy that is warm in the middle with a slight crunch on the outside. With the breast in the center the biscuit absorbs the seasoning from the coating and forms a perfect marriage of goodness. Though the marriage is great, the biscuit has the ability to stand on its own and satisfy your soul. Now… even if you don’t like sweet chicken, the Bourbon Maple Syrup brings a level of appreciation to the sandwich. It’s not too sweet, but has just enough sweetness to put you in the mindset of an elegant honey butter blend. Oh my gosh… this biscuit was awesome. The Praline Mocha is like nothing I’ve ever had before. Allow me to paint you a picture. Imagine if Homemade Pralines were layered on top of a caramel ice cream, blended together with a sprinkle of love and care then poured into a cup with whipped cream added to the top. Yep! It’s just like that. Furthermore, the crumbles of Praline on top of the whipped cream add a texture layer to the drink that elevates its goodness as it adds an extra hint of almonds and caramelized sugar to the flavor of the sip that captures the pieces. This is something I need in my life that I didn’t know existed until today. As my family and I enjoyed everything that was on the table before us, the experience was taken to higher heights with the service that was provided. A gentleman was walking around checking on the tables. Come to find out his name is Andrew and he is one of the owners. What makes Andrew so incredible is not only was he walking around to ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant but he was cleaning and engaging with the guests as well. He was very welcoming and inviting. We discussed the items that we all ordered and expressed our appreciation for the chef and those involved with making the food AWESOME. After Andrew shared pleasantries with us he got back to work. To my added pleasure, Andrew came back around on his next walk through and introduced us to Rachel and I love herrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. LoL! Rachel is the other owner and was so down to earth and pleasant. She took time to allow us to express our gratitude for the care put into the food. Along with th”
“My wife and I really love this place. It's a fantastic local pub. It has a really good menu and great selection of craft beers. The owner Scott is a great guy and he actually is there serving food and drinks. He will actually know your name after several visits. Let's be honest, that's not normal with your average bar or pub. Live music on Friday and Saturday nights. I would definitely recommend to everyone to visit and make The Casual Pint your local hang out spot.”
“I had a birthday dinner there and the vibe was very inviting. This was me and my guests first time ever dining in this establishment. The customer service was excellent, the food was delicious, the drinks were top notch. If you're ever in Hoover, AL. You must check them out! Thank you for making my birthday a success! Kayla E. Thank you for your great customer service!”
“The food is absolutely amazing! I have been to dinner a few times here and the food was delicious! We went for lunch the first time last week and holy moly, it was fantastic!! Highly recommend Tre Luna!”
“The Service was excellent and so was the atmosphere but I wasn't so crazy about the food that everyone talked about. The drink that I had was watered down. They have a three tray dip it was very good I suggest trying it.”
“My wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the service, and the atmosphere. She had massaman chicken and I had Kra Pow with chicken. We have eaten at 5 or so other Thai places in Birmingham and this is our favorite.”
“Last night my husband and I ate dinner at Firebirds. Our steaks were INCREDIBLE. They could compete with Fleming’s or Perry’s. Our service was excellent. I wish I remembered our servers name, she was quick and very kind (she had on a David Yurman cross pendant, young and light brown hair). I do recommend making a reservation if you’re going on a Friday/Saturday night. As we were leaving, we heard the hostess say it would be a 3 hour wait for the party that just arrived. Will be back!”
“Such a great experience and very kid/pet friendly environment. I always get overwhelmed taking my child and dog out in public places like this but the staff, specifically Harper made us feel right at home. Not to be mention the great selection of beer. 10/10 will definitely be returning.”
“Food is amazing from the chicken fingers to the Maui steak !! Delicious. Can't go wrong with J. Alexander's perfect for date night or grabbing food after church/work. The bar ambiance is great! Also the drinks are top tier!!”
“We had great service and great food! Portion sizes were large and the quality and presentation of the food was fantastic. A nice atmosphere, white tablecloth dining, but casual enough that it made for a nice date night or a night out with the entire family. We will definitely be back. Zane was our server and he was fantastic and very knowledgeable about all of the menu items, daily specials, and made great recommendations. We will definitely be back!”
“I’ve been eating Clean Eatz for almost a year now. I have lost 26 lbs, my blood pressure is better and my A1C is down. I love the freezer meals. They have a great variety each week so you never get bored with eating the same thing over and over. The staff is alway friendly and helpful. The meals are reasonably priced. In my book it is a win all the way around.”
“Manager wasn't very inviting or nice... but my server Sam was the absolute best!!!! My food was excellent! cooked perfectly, served hot and came out right the first time!!!”
“We were working in the area last week and decided to give Jake’s a try! It was delicious! There was no wait, the server was super nice, the food came out quick, & everything was great! We both decided to get the Jamaican Jerk Chicken, with corn bread, Mac and cheese, fried okra, and rice! It was all delicious! The chicken is a little spicy (which we like) but if you don’t do spicy, you might want to choose a different option! For dessert we got the strawberry cake! Everything was great, we will definitely go back in the future! (We even had some left overs)”
“When I’m craving my favorite Grouper fingers this is my go to place for them. We so enjoy the outdoor seating and consistently good food and enthusiastic servers. Creative and extensive drink menu too!”
“My boyfriend and I took my Mom and Dad out for dinner. We wanted something different so we drove over 2 hours, and it wasn't a disappointment. Everything was phenomenal. From our hostess to our waitress, and the food was ?. My parents enjoyed it and so did we. Definitely worth the drive and the 5 STAR!!!”
“Fast food was amazing really close to the New Orleans food. We receive excellent service from the bartender while we were at the bar she was very entertainingKid-friendliness: Kids are welcome”
“We noticed this fast food restaurant in the Galleria Mall last time and decided to give it a try this time. We were not disappointed, food and service were good.”
“We were staying at the Hyatt Regency because of its proximity to the airport and had dinner at this nice, tucked-away little restaurant. A special shout-out to our server Latarren! She was both attentive and efficient, brought menus and food promptly, and noticed when our glasses were empty. She was the kind of server we always hope to get -- knowledgeable and personable, without being pushy. Thanks, Latarren P., for making our last night in Alabama such a nice one!”
“The food was really good, French onion soup, salad and ribeye steak. The issue I had was timing. I received my soup, hardly had time to enjoy it, and my salad and steak arrived. Poor wait staff trying to flip tables rather than serve the customer. When I complained, the waitress blamed the kitchen staff for being to quick. I tried to correct her and told her they only cook what you enter into the system.”
“Such a phenomenal experience! Great food, very pleasant and professional atmosphere with exceptional service to top it off! We will definitely be back! Hoover, the manger on duty, is OUTSTANDING!!!”
“I went to the cafe for a hot dog. Not only was the service quick and kind but the food was delicious. The hot dog was a good size for what you pay which is 2.50 for the combo with a drink and the bun was soft. I am not someone who particularly enjoys hot dogs but this one was delicious. The eating area was sanitary and clean and there was room to distance in case of a need to do so which I did appreciate. I found the packaging to be a bit wasteful and would love to see fewer uses of plastic especially in the drink containers and the cutlery. Overall it was a very positive experience and I will be returning.”
“Flames & flavors! My wife & I had lunch at Stix in Hoover yesterday. Stix is a hibachi restaurant that also specializes in sushi & Asian classics. I've had some great experiences here, but I haven't dined here in YEARS. I was excited to see if it was all I remembered it being. We started with the Steamed Dumplings featuring chicken & vegetable dumplings served with a chili soy dipping sauce. The dumplings & sauce had good flavor, but they were cold. Not like "frozen in the middle cold", but "they didn't get brought to the table right away cold." Not a huge deal. My wife & I both ordered hibachi dishes. She had the Hibachi Shrimp & I had the NY Strip Steak. Both were served with Japanese onion soup, ginger salad, fried rice & veggies. My wife's shrimp were of good size & we were both impressed by how perfectly they were cooked. My NY strip steak was also cooked to my liking. A superb medium rare. The Japanese onion soup that Stix serves is by far my favorite of hibachi soups. The broth is rich in onion flavor. The fried rice was particularly delicious! It had a nice smoky flavor which I'm guessing comes with being prepared on a well-seasoned hibachi grill. When you walk in Stix, you can dine on the right side which is where the "cook in front of you" hibachi tables are. To the left is what I've always heard called "the Chinese side" (My wife couldn't believe it's called that. What do you call that side?) where there are private booths, but you're still able to order from the hibachi menu. I prefer to sit on the Chinese side. It's quiet & I find that dining at the hibachi table can feel rushed. I mean, it's cute, but once you've seen an onion volcano a few times, the magic is gone. My entree was delicious! As good as I remembered. Service was friendly. They offer a full bar. I'm a fan of Stix. Probably my fav hibachi in Bham.”
“Normally at Twin Peaks I don’t enjoy the serves but, Stevi was absolutely amazing. She was outgoing and funny made the meal more enjoyable. She went out of her way to make sure I was accounted for and I realized I wasnt a huge fan of my drink and Stevi reassured me it was okay and got me a new drink. I also got to witness her with a extremely rude customer and she handled it exceptionally well and then came over to check and me and my friend with a smile on her face. She made us laugh and just enjoy our time at Twin Peaks all around. She’s the kind of person you would want at a restaurant. Coming back specifically because of how amazing she made the experience.Vegetarian options: It was good, my friend is vegetarian”
