Excellent Alabama comfort food.The fried catfish is what I had, and it was delicious.The hush puppies should be illegal.Locals and old timers know what I am talking about.Grab a couple of the fried pies on your way out the door... pay for them first.Worth the short detour to get to it.Eat there or miss out. Your choice.
I have grown into an old man. The Greenbrier was old when I first started going there in the early 70’s. It’s just as good as I remembered it. The people that run it, the people that work it, and the people that eat there; do so with pride. You can’t buy that atmosphere with buzz. It comes through years of dedicated hard work and quality of product. As always, I’m looking forward to my next meal there. They owe me two pies I paid for and forgot to pickup.
