“When I come to this side of town I always make it a point to come here. Usually I just get sushi to-go which is always a fast & pleasant experience. Tonight I decided to sit, have a drink and read a little with dinner and it was a wonderful evening spent. Kendall was my waitress and was a total sweetheart. Everyone here is so delightful and the food is excellent. I recommend the Tokyo Mule, a perfectly light cocktail to pair with your sushi and the Paradise roll if you want something different to try.“

But my family loves to eat there. If you discontinue the pot roast, I won't have any options to order, so unfortunately we will stop eating there. “Visiting from Kentucky and Metro Diner was our last stop before heading home. Tammy was our waitress and she was the BEST waitress we had throughout our entire stay in Huntsville. Food was great as well.“

Well, she had no issues at all. So, for our celiac friends out there, you can eat here with no fear. Just stress the allergy.Now, onto the food. Mine was only OK. But not the fault of the staff. “We were in town last week for the funeral of my husband’s mother. A party of 18 family members (15 adults, and 3 little ones), we had made a reservation for a late lunch after the services. We arrived hungry, and had the pleasure of having Dayzha as our server, only Dayzha. What a fantastic job she did! From taking and serving our drink and food orders, she delivered efficient and timely service all while keeping her sense of humor and friendly smile. “Was in town for work and had a free night. Super tiny restaurant, and reservations are required. However, my colleague and I were able to sit at the bar and eat our meal. Very intimate setting. Served immediately and quickly. Ordered the fish special. It was outstanding. A lovely grouper with a vegetable ratatouille in a burre Blanc sauce. A little on the pricey side, but definitely worth it. If ever back in town, I would definitely eat here again.“

“Huntsville has some great hidden gems and one of those is Hildegard's German Cuisine downtown. This little hole in the wall will blow you away with their rich & authentic flavors made fresh. You can literally hear them pounding out the Schnitzel as you enjoy the orange rolls (you need these in your life). The Sampler was perfect to take a tour of what Hildegard’s does best: Chicken Schnitzel, Polish Sausage and Kraut, and Geschnetzeltes (Hunters Stroganoff). Each one was done perfectly and made you wonder how much you could keep eating. Warm potato salad on the side and I was in heaven. For restaurant week they had the smoked pork chop and WOW was it good. A rich deep smoked flavor that made the fat taste like bacon but left the inside of the chop perfect. Käsespätzle (German Mac-n-cheese) on the side was a perfect way to enjoy an old style dish. The only minor complaint is that their German Chocolate cake just has whipped chocolate icing - no pecan & coconut icing like the real thing.“

“This was my first time here. It was better than I expected it to be! Got the grilled salmon bowl with brown rice. The salmon is some of the best salmon I've gotten at a restaurant in Huntsville. The crispy Brussel sprouts are AMAZING! the only issue I had was the music volume. Waitress was nice and took orders, drinks arrived pretty quickly. Ambiance was kind of a brighter sports bar but still family-friendly. Loud music and conversation but not obnoxiously so, lot of families present.On to the food. Let's be honest - the place is a little on the expensive side. Cup of chili for $6, salads start at $14 and go north of $18, all the burgers are $14+ with one side etc. That being said, I don't knock of stars for higher prices, you can check the menu before you show up and go elsewhere, but I do want to point it out.I ordered the Triple Double cheeseburger Sliders and was able to sub out the side for chili for $2, which I felt was a good deal. The burgers were well done but sliders are kinda to get anything else and they tasted good. To be fair, they didn't ask how I wanted them so that's just how they come. No complaints about the burgers besides the size. Chili seemed like it was made fresh and tasted really good. Scattering of beans, hamburger was diced very fine. Great flavor, not too hot or top greasy.Wife got the chopped Chicken Salad but opted to swap out chicken for salmon. She thought there was a bit too much dressing (order it on the side). She fel the salmon was cooked a little more then she asked for but was still good -- a good entree sized serving of salmon. Everything else in salad was great.Kids got mac-n-cheese and chicken strips. The chicken strips were grilled and they were probably the best kids chicken s trips I've tried. My daughter thought they were one of the better ones she'd tried as well. Mac-N-Cheese was good.$65 prior to gratuity for all that, two waters, 1 soda and a 23oz beer. Kinda high but they offered a military discount that was very generous. Came out to just over $51 after discount which I appreciated a lot.As long as you are OK paying for quality good, you won't be disappointed -- food here is great and service is good too.“

“Got the Chicken Saag, Veg Samosa, Garlic Naan & Mango Lassi. Food was excellent, service was excellent, but the price was beyond steep. Chicken Saag was $18 (higher end price for Saag) and the veg Samosas were $8 (very steep for samosa) and the Naan was $5 (also very steep pricing for naan. The total for the food shown was $39. I get this same order back home for $28 (which is also high priced for a single person meal.I will give them that the food was better tasting then other Indian restaurants in the area, but $39 for one person to eat (could be two people possibly) is definitely steep.Consider lowering prices and would have a returning customer and probably many others willing to extend their pallets.Saag should be 14.99, Samosas should be 4.99 and the Naan should be 2.99The lassi is fair priced at 4.99 (no complaints there)If you consider lowering those prices you would have a returning customer. But I do appreciate the hospitality given and the taste.“
