“In my opinion, best Asian food in the area. Not a big restaurant, so the buffet isn't huge, but the food is fresh, more so than larger restaurants and it's just better than any Asian buffet in Hoover, Pelham, Alabaster, Bessemer, Irondale...I can't think of any Asian place around Birmingham that has better food, buffet or not. Plus, they (Wok On In) also have some Hawaiian items on their menu. I haven't tried them yet, but I will. My wife and son say that it's the best Asian food around, too. Best orange chicken, best lo mein, best sweet & sour chicken, best fried spring rolls, best fried pork dumplings, best hot & sour soup, best mongolian beef, best kung pao chicken, and more. Just can't say enough good about this place. Love it. Also, plenty of parking and clean establishment, restrooms...etc.”

“My husband and I love Golden City! We started going 3 years ago, and it has consistently been our favorite place in the area. We love their sushi rolls, sweet and sour chicken, and hibachi. My favorite is the egg drop soup. Not only is the food fantastic, but we always love the incredible service that Golden City provides.”

Do not be afraid to get a half muffuletta, we took half of that half home! We travel the country full-time and love finding places like this. We went twice during the week we were in the area.”

“I meet clients at coffee shops all over the Birmingham metro, but I don't like coffee. I can usually find something else to drink, but the non-coffee drinks are almost always overpriced and bland. That's definitely not the case at Buck Creek Coffee. Their smoothies are delicious, and I appreciate that they allow me to create my own combinations of flavors. During the cold months, their hot chocolate is also top-notch. One of the greatest benefits is how friendly they are to other local businesses. The owners are constantly going out of their way to help the businesses that frequent their shop in any way they can, and I've had several potential clients reach out because the DeVitos recommended me. My only negative is that I wish they were open later in the day.”

“I really like Milos and we eat at the Pelham store regularly. However yesterday was a disappointment. The tea was terrible, it taste soured, and I buy Milos tea at the grocery so I know how it should taste. When I returned it to the counter the employee stated others had complained about the taste, so why didn’t they make new tea? Also the burger with lettuce & tomato kept falling apart because the lettuce was a huge thick piece too large for the sandwich. The regular cheeseburger was thrown together also. I’m not sure what was going on yesterday but it was not a good experience.”

“I love this place! However, today, I was slightly disappointed. I drove up from Montgomery, the closest location. It was 3:00, and they were out of cookies and cinnamon rolls. I’m unsure why they didn’t cook more because they had a few hours left to be open, but I was disappointed because we made a special trip just for the cinnamon rolls, and we couldn’t purchase as many as we wanted.”

“Had only visited this location once a couple of years ago when it first opened & was not impressed with food quality....decided to drop in to see how things are now & was pleasantly surprised. We arrived for a late lunch & noted very few patrons in dining room. Our server, Ian, was friendly & attentive. We enjoyed the fried catfish ( farmed in Mississippi!) and the New Orleans style crab claws in a savory broth. Side salad was fresh & appetizing. The fried okra was some if not the best I've had locally. We also opted for take home desserts....lemon blueberry cheesecake & the bread pudding....both were very good. Looking forward to dining here again! Service was excellent as well.”

The restuarant interior could benefit from an update, but that is a minor item.

“While passing by the gas station, I noticed several people in the Cocinita and entered. I was surprised by the products they sell, I tried some flautas and they were delicious, I will stop by again soon.”

“I bought a biscuit on the fly (few under warmer by register for the station) a couple of weeks ago and told my spouse how good it was. Today she said we should get one there as we were running errands. It was almost 11am. When i walked in this time i noticed the Sneaky Petes on the left side with tables and such. I ordered a BEC combo and their "other fav" bologna egg and cheese combo. Choice of fries or hashbrowns. Opted for fries. Both biscuits were delicious and the fries were fresh. Medium size cut. Not the cheap frozen crinkle kind. Ohhh so good. And under $18. Servers/Food Preparers were very friendly. Bilingual a plus.
Will be a repeat client!!!

As far as the staff, they are so friendly but nay sayers do not understand their first language is not what ours is. That should tell you this is authentic as it gets. This is one of the cleanest kitchens you will eat out of in the Birmingham area. Order the Dragon & Phoenix if you know what’s good for you!! You will get the portion you pay for, if $14 is too much try Sonic.”

“Place is average. The food is certainly what I remember from living in Texas. Whataburger is the true burger joint of America. Their shakes are classic frosty bliss.
The food seems to take a long time to come out here. I have also heard unprofessional language at one of my visits in 2024. I have found another store that seems better and have using them for my burger, breakfast cravings.”
