“Came upon this place unexpectedly and now it's one of my favorite places in the Shoals. Great food, fast service, and attentive servers/workers. “Definitely a different experience. The food is large portions, it is good size for the money. The burgers are okay, the onion rings are good, the potato salad is good, it is more like a loaded baked potato potato salad. We had the loaded French fries they were good. Make sure you use the bathroom before you go, they are not all that nice. The man that drives the truck is extremely sweet.“

“Mom & Pop restaurant in Muscle Shoals we stop for breakfast it was ole time delicious. Biscuits& gravy order of (red) ripe ? slices. Scrambled ?. Waitress was very attentive& kept the coffee cup filled. They serve a buffet breakfast on Saturday & a regular buffet Sunday dinner. Call Jody's for info. “We were going to be in the area for a tennis match, so we took the opportunity to visit a place we'd heard about and wanted to check out. So glad we did. First, the food. The dishes we got were delicious: Bourbon Waffle for my wife and Chicken and Waffle for me. I'm picky about wings, and these didn't disappoint, from the fry to the glaze. I enjoyed the waffles too, especially swiped through the wing glaze. [Next time, I'm going to ask for that on my waffles rather than syrup. You should too.] I got a bite of my wife's waffle and enjoyed it, but definitely thought I'd made the best choice for me. Second, the place. I'm a big fan of repurposing older buildings for new establishments, and of not losing the vibe of the original place. Kudos to the owners. Finally, the service. Apparently, for some folks it was slow; for me it was laid back. I was not I a hurry, so no big deal. But the woman who served us was extremely friendly and helpful, and even indulged my curious questions graciously. I don't get into that part of Alabama often, but next time I'm there, I'm going back to Superhero Chefs.“

“Kid-friendliness: We love waffle house because most of them are welcoming to my family and our small children! They are happy to see us and this building even gave them little paper waffle house hats! This waffle house made our list of favorites because of their kid-friendliness and welcoming hospitality! Highly recommend for families of small children!“

“The service was exceptional. I was greeted when I entered by multiple people. I made a reservation though it wasn’t really needed. The ambiance is nice; I’m a huge fan of low-lit areas. There was a lot of light from the bar area.I asked my server, Mary, what she recommended for a sweet drink and duly went with the Swingin Sunset. It was fresh, sweet, and mixed well. There wasn’t an incredible amount of ice, either. I was served a bread + (sea salt?) butter bowl, which was incredibly tasty. The muffins seemed like they were made with browned butter and a hint of caramelization. The saltiness of the butter complimented the sweetness of the bread. It makes me want to learn how to make it, haha.I asked for food recommendations; she recommended the cheeseburger + gulf fish piccata. I wanted something different from a fish and burger so she ended up recommending the Crispy Potato Gnocci, which was a great choice. It was incredibly filling. The pork belly was crispy and mixed well with the rest of the ingredients in the dish. There was a nice umami + peppery bite.The price of food + drink is a little high, but it goes with saying that the quality of the items made it worth it. I’m glad they have a seasonal menu to provide variety. If I’m ever in town, I would love to come here for brunch or lunch.“

“On a cool, dreary and rainy Sunday, like today, nothing beats their chili with cheesy breadsticks for dunking. Pizzas are always great! The staff and Amy, the manager are the greatest we have dealt with in the shoals!“

“It was really good. I would definitely eat here again. I would also HIGHLY recommend getting the macaroni and cheese. The fried pickles were yummy too, but take note...theres a kick to them. “I am slightly disappointed in Ichibans steak and lo mein hibachi dinner. The only complaint I have to address is regarding the lo mein noodles. I usually would not post a review but I’m super disappointed that I paid 20 dollars for this plate and the lo mein noodles are in fact the same noodles that we use in our spaghetti we cook at home. Great value brand noodles, not Bertolli. If it were Bertolli It wouldn’t have been as bad. I will say that the steak was good. But that’s it. Just a plate of chopped steak. 20 dollars.“
