“Stunning views of Deer Lake! The garden patio is the best in Burnaby for a special lunch. I loved the Pacific salmon and the service was impeccable. A peaceful, heritage, high-end escape. As an older building, it has its quirks but that also adds to its charm.“

We ordered some spring rolls a chicken and rice dish with mixed vegetables sweet and sour spareribs and some very tasty hot and sour soup !
Our order came within like 10 to 15 minutes after ordering. We couldn't finish the soup and I ate it for 2 meals later that week. Price was very reasonable $45.89!! can't beat the price and I've eaten at a lot of Chinese restaurants and chinese tea is always usually free!

“I love the vibe at this Bow & Stern, it’s a bit more upscale & much larger than the Abbotsford location. The lobster Mac n cheese was delicious and the cocktails are well curated and tasty. Our server Shay was so sweet and made sure we were taken care of well! Will absolutely be back.“

The food was prepared exactly as I requested. I had asked a few items to only be mildly spicy and they were prepared perfectly! We ordered 6 dishes and all of them were fresh and delicious! “Been coming here since their grand opening in 90s. I went there as a young kid in high school and still go there now. They literally watched me grow up and our family constantly go there almost every week for a take out or dine in. Prices were uber cheap with plenty of lunch specials that were giant proportions, but now as with all other restaurants prices have gone up. Their sets used to be around $30 for 3 entrees plus a free soup, rice and a free crab. Yes we are talking the 90s and my family of 3 can eat for 3 - 4 days as leftovers. But I still go there out of loyalty and remembered tastes and food is same as before. I took 1 star off the food because I think the food has gone a bit bland...is it my old age taste buds or did they change chefs?“

Have been there for dim sum lunches and everything is fantastic from the ha gow, chicken feet to their rice bowls.

But it's there dinner menu that really shines.
I highly recommend:
Lobster and Glutinous Rice steamed in leaves
Crab and Fish Maw Soup (Thick and Juicy)
Pea Tips (Glistening from the wok)
Baked Custard Pudding (for Dessert; must be ordered in advance .. but it's to die for!)

Food is pretty good similar to the level in Richmond and Hong Kong, may be a little bit below, but still pretty good.

Everything came out hot, Sui mai is pretty good, the BBQ pork rice rolls were good as well.
