“Great pizzas, definitely a smoked and crispy flavour in the ingredients and crust. Chicken cubes were very tasty and blended well with mushrooms and red onions. Staff was friendly and patient. What we found unacceptable was the place serving 2-litre sodas and didn’t offering any glasses whatsoever for clients eating there! Plastic, glass, nada. We had to drink the soda straight from the bottle, which was uncomfortable to say the least.”

“Stopped by for lunch on a rainy Saturday in November. It wasn't busy when we arrived and the service was prompt and friendly. The salmon burger and fries were excellent; it was wild caught salmon and was perfectly cooked. My friend had the burger and fries and that was also very good size portion and tasty. The island farms ice cream was very good as well and the scoops are really big. We also ordered americanos and they were excellent. Don't let the quirky statues and carvings deter you from stopping by for breakfast, lunch, coffee or ice cream.”

“The best pizza I have had in a very long time. Salt Pizzeria make one of my favourites…pizza fungi!! And they box it with a piece of corrugated cardboard under the crust so it doesn’t get soggy in the box. Many other types so I have to go back!!!”

“The new owners have kept all the old favourites that the customers like, as well as adding new items such as chocolate covered carrot cake bites that were a big hit at Christmas, and delicious fruit pies and cakes that are as light as a feather with European style icing that melts in your mouth. Also, every week new Indian items are added, such as special soups with a splash of Curry that are exposing us to exciting new flavours. Extra tables have been added inside and out, because more and more customers want to sit, enjoying a coffee and a pastry, or a delicious egg bite or a bowl of soup of the day. But it’s the friendly atmosphere, the great customer service and the happy, positive vibes that make this spot a magnet for customers, old and new. The foods coming out of this kitchen begin at superb and get better! they also have a good selection of British Columbia wines, have your server suggest one. Reservations are essential due to limited hours. Do yourself a flavour favour and go to De L'ile A.S A.P.”

“Atmosphere lacking a bit. I’m not into being cold when I’m out for dinner and sometimes it’s very cold in this restaurant. One day it was so cold, I swore I’d never go back, but I did because it was so damn good. Staff are lovely and prices are reasonable. Just be sure to bring a sweater with you”

“First time there tonight July 1-2023to celebrate birthdays. Alley the owner was so gracious and had the best personality!! The food was absolutely delicious! We started with crab cakes they were so good! Then I had the seafood pasta the amount of scallops prawns was awesome they definitely weren't skimpy on the seafood and the presentation was great! Then the dessert we had a free birthday dessert which was the sticky date pudding with vanilla ice cream! The service was good, friendly, fast and the establishment was clean! “4 of us went there last week (2 from Comox and 2 from Nanaimo) and the food was incredible. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. We just wish we weren’t so rushed, it really took away from our night out. We were told we only had 1.5 hrs which was no problem. She reminded us continuously throughout the meal and after an hr asked us if we were ready for our bill. We told her we were thinking about having a dessert (which was pre-made) and she sighed and looked at her watch! She brought the dessert and we scarfed it so fast and just got out of there. We tipped well because who knows if the pressure was coming from the kitchen, but we left with 20 mins to spare and a whole lot of empty tables there. Recommend if you aren’t meeting others and are in a hurry.”
