The owner's have poured their heart and soul into this establishment, which is well shown by not only the expertly brewed coffee/espresso beverages and delicious menu offerings, but the beautifully decorated and bright space. Boasting a cozy atmosphere, amazing drinks and food that absolutely slaps, Laneway Cafe and Kitchen completes Cumberland's downtown core.”

“K so we went around the Comox Valley to a few breweries that were good and some great. BUT THIS ONE. If I could create the most perfect beer list with the best food menu and a cute venue with the friendliest staff it would be this!!!! Look no further and get yourself to Cumberland Brewing, you will be a happy camper. It was ???And bike friendlyAnd vegan friendlyWe had cottage pie and yam loaf. “Honesty being the best policy, these nachos today were immediately among my top three ever. I don’t necessarily keep an ongoing list, but I know where my fave ever was, and I’d have to think pretty hard to come up with something else better than Biblio Taco! They even somehow admirably challenged my dislike of salsa/guac/cream right on the nachos… but somehow it worked, nothing got soggy. Commendable, spectacular!The rest of the family had tacos and quesadillas, all consistently incredible, and a delicious spread of hot sauces on the table that even my 5-year old was enjoying. A tremendous experience all around, we’ve already set ourselves a goal of returning again before we leave in a few days. Highly recommend, if that wasn’t already obvious!”

“We had the chocolate yeast donut for the hot chocolate festival. What a wonderful, hearty, chocolatey pastry! I love good yeast donuts, and this is a winner. Not too sweet. Excellent glaze. The chocolate on top is super delish. Nice layer without overwhelming the donut flavor. Really happy with this place!”
