“Although I am not exactly the target audience for an English Tea room, I have to say that Butchart far exceeded any expectations! Although we have been to the Gardens many times over the last 4 decades, this is the first time that my wife suggested that we take “High Tea” before our stroll through the amazing gardens... And of course it proved to be a wonderful idea as I relished every bite and sip (we also had the 3-glass “taster” which paired with the food nicely)... I will absolutely be taking tea on our next visit!”

“The Mod pizza in Langford was first the time we have eaten at this chain. The staff were super friendly and hilarious. Happy employees tend to produce the best product! We have since eaten at 4 locations and although this is their only location in Canada it has been the best one we've been to. Their concept of topping selection, fixed prices, etc is wonderful. The pizza itself is delicious and the salads are also great! Try their in house made drinks too! Very tasty!!”

Our server, Raj, was pleasant, professional, and ever so friendly.* update for Celiacs…. I did suffer a celiac reaction post this initial review. Looking further on the web it seems they do not have a dedicated fryer (would love confirmation). My guess is that the pakora I had was cross-contaminated with Samosas, etc.”

“HUGE RAVE!!! Wow. AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! Never been in this store yet. Today I had the best experience welcomed upon entry by the owner. Very very very nice man!! Explaining the homemade take home Enchiladas and other amazing looking Mexican food. (Which ones he preferred) I lost my bank card couple days ago and only had cash was a dollar short for the bill and get said no problem... Let me take the Enchiladas and the Tamale anyway. I felt bad cause I wanted to leave a tip.. I will be returning tomorrow to give the well deserved tip and the dollar I was short. Definitely will be returning to support this amazing local business!!!!”

“I just walked out their door. Hands down the best PHO in town. When they bring up my bow of noodle, I know I’m in the right place. The soup is full of flavor and meatballs are hand made. Lots of fresh bean sprout and herb leaves on the side. Will definitely come back again.”

“I've been here many times, usually for takeaway. I've yet to try the fried chicken but all the sushi and bento boxes I've had are phenomenal! They certainly know how to cook food, and if you dine in at certain times you may be surprised with an gratis appetizer, which I just found out by actually doing a sit-down meal! Portions are excellent, especially for the price point. These guys have a realistic approach to what a dinner is worth and I'm sure everyone can agree that's a real commodity right now!! Wanna be full for $23 with leftovers? Then it's time to hit up Kitchen Story!”

“My husband and I visited this restaurant for lunch and it was AMAZING. This is definitely a place you can go for a GOOD quality Korean food which there are not many on the island. The parking lot is huge so it was nice. The restaurant was very spacious and CLEAN and the pleasant welcome from the staff was really nice. We ordered some appetizers and Jjambong(seafood noodles) and the famous Korean chicken. I LOVED jjambong! The portion was great and it wasnt too spicy. The Korean chicken was so yummy as well and it came with the salad on the side. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and we are definitely coming back.”

Also recommend the apple slaw, lovely little coleslaw with poppy seeds and a mayo based dressing.I'll definitely be back to try the other flavours!”

“An absolute gem. This sandwich shop, run by one incredible woman, is a fresh and delicious stop. We had ten people from our soccer team show up, as we were playing in the area (Hey Elizabeth, PCOV won the final!) and got a fresh meal before our game. We didn't plan on all showing up to the same cafe but as skill presented, Elizabeth prepared our drinks and then our sandwiches with no stress and plenty of happy whistles and singing from the kitchen. We were patient but didn't wait long before eating. My "toastie" was a perfectly panini press-toasted bread with fresh spinach, Swiss, tomato, and mayo. It was perfect. My apple cider was "200 degrees" and had the best steamy aroma. I also grabbed a pecan tartlet and a tasty oat bar. I hope to be back again one day ❤️Wheelchair accessibility: All on one floor! Spacious washroom and dynamic seating area (huge patio, too).”

“The dining room and lounge are impressive with tall ceilings and expansive windows with an equally impressive view over the golf course, forest and hills.Enjoyed happy hour and the cheese dip which was sufficient for three people to share. Would be worth the drive just for the view and certainly convenient after a round of golf.”
