“Amazing beef stew, I think is called calderata but not sure, incredible flavor and incredible price, server is friendly, they even have a convenience little store with filipino and general items, I took it to go but they have a few tables in case you want to eat there, next time I will try the empanadas, they look legit, I will be back for more.“
“Definitely one of the best restaurants in Royal City Centre. Staff is always so friendly, efficient and seem happy to be there. Love the silog, especially the perfect runny egg for your rice every time. Excellent prices for portion size too, compared to typical Vancouver price.Vegetarian options: Like the majority of Filipino cuisine there are limited vegetarian and vegan options.“
“Thank God for this place! Very savory food! Amazing. I am a chicken lover and the sizzling sweet and spicy chicken fit it perfectly. The name describe it excellently, flavor in every bite. Sizzling bistek so soft, savory and fantastic! And the sizzling tofu... no words for it, just try it!“
“The wait was long for the food. But it was worth it. Everything was made to order and everything came in hottt. The restaurant isn't very big and there's limited seating. There's plenty of street parking and they also have customer parking in the back. This would be a good place to try Filipino food if it's your first time. The server was informative and explains to you what the different kinds of dishes were. Get the crispy kare-kare. This one was my favourite out of the bunch.“
“Small little place, blink and you may miss it, but while it is small in size, it is HUGE in taste, flavour, and service! Had their Bbq pork belly and Bbq chicken too, served with garlic rice and fried egg - the pork belly was just perfect, crispy and chewy, salty and not too sweet, generously portioned and served with a smile. First time having Filipino cuisine and the server explained it all with enthusiasm and her suggestions were spot on. Can’t wait to come again to try their Silog or Kare Kare. On the way out, Jessica - the owner’s wife - showed me what she was cooking in the pan and described a few more popular dishes, and mentioned that they served meat skewers out in front during the day. Maybe I will make a special trip out there just to try!!“
“A hidden Filipino gem tucked away at the hotel near the Patullo Bridge! I took a friend here and the food was great! Halo halo was amazing and gives you more bang for the buck (other places charge $10+ for smaller than what they offer at $8). Lechon Kawali and adobo was on pointMore people should know about this place! Definitely a great taste of home for a great price. Everyone was friendly here too!“
“Not really for dining in but their food is always great. They let you call ahead and reserve food for pick up later in the day. It's best to call in the morning right as they open because they sell out rather quickly. They have a Facebook page and they post what they cook for the day in it.“
“This appears to be the only place serving Filipino food in downtown Coquitlam. I started my meal by trying Talong Salad for the first time, it was amazing! The grilled eggplant added a meaty texture to the raw pineapple, tomato, and onions. The grilled squid was good too, but hindsight I should have ordered something else as the flavours overlapped with the salad. Their house-made vinegar is probably one of the best condiments ever, it will go well with pretty much anything. Halo-halo is super sweet and refreshing. The restaurant is fairly small and the tables are closely placed, making space quite tight.“
“I picked up a container of Eat Kanadiyan’s kare kare at Pinoy Spot in Langley while I was driving through, I didn’t get a chance to eat it until I got home but even having to travel the food was so delicious! Excellent quality and value, so satisfying.“
“Wonderful staff with who I had a great experience. I was completely ignorant of Filipino food and felt very taken care of. The food was incredible, she gave me a plate with a little bit of everything to try. I will absolutely be back in the spring for some halo-halo! 10/10“
“I ordered almost a week ago and had such a pleasant experience with this branch. I had to order over the phone and arrange an Uber pick-up (drop-off location was too far for UberEats). The staff was very accommodating and efficient, especially Shyrmae. The sansrival we ordered was pretty good, too! Thank you, Goldilocks Burnaby ?“
“Yummy fries and friendly service. It usually takes about 7-10 minutes to get your order because they make each batch when ordered.Parking: There is some street parking out front but not a lot. You can find more along the side streets but you may have to park farther away. There is also a small paid lot as well.“
“The food is good, the service is great. Over all I will rate you 5star.My only suggestion would be please do not add meat in your veggies menu like ginatang kalabasa and beans for pescatarian costumer. Thank you so much! Greatly appreciate ?“
“Been getting my filipino food here since 2008 and sure the price went up now its 2023 but the quality of the food never changed everything taste how i expect it to taste. For the past 15 years i still drop by to this old, clean and simple restaurant. Unfortunately as of this year they don’t do dine in.“
“Good chicken sandwich, fries were cooked well. The Ube pie is decent. Wish there was more Ube flavour to it though. It’s nice and hot. Make sure you eat it in the sleeve. It comes out from the bottom.Genesis has really good customer service. Friendly with an infectious smile.“
“Amazing food, friendly staff, high quality ingredients.I was in a rush, so I didn't have time to properly savor my food, but it was delicious. I had a fish stew with plain rice. Beautifully made.I also had the sweet rice balls. Highly recommend.“
“The go-to place when you're craving for filipino foods ?. They have the all you can eat &or order per serving. You can sing karaoke ? while you dine. Friday's they have a live stand up singer. They do catering for parties as well.“
“I've been to this restaurant over the years and I've never been disappointed. The food is definitely worth the wait as they don't take reservations. I've tasted pretty much all the silogs on the menu, but my go to is the Combo 1 of the lechon and the corn beef silog with a side of biya. This weekend I went twice, yesterday and today). They recognized me and I was welcomed and immediately felt at home. I listened all around me to the other patrons while I sat at the counter enjoying my brunch. Everyone was being treated with kindness and familiarity. This is how a family restaurant should run. Each time I looked at the entrance, there was a line up. This, the food, and the atmosphere are reasons I will continue to come back. Well, full disclosure, they did make me something special (not on the menu) and because of this, I stand behind my 5 star rating of this hidden gem of a restaurant. As a Filipino foodie, I've been burned and disappointed by other Filipino restaurants. I don't think my standards are so high so as to be easily turned off. So other restaurant owners, take note of this restaurant. They have the formula down. Just visit on a Sunday after Mass and you will see for yourself.Thank you Epic Silog for allowing me to be a part of your family this Family Day weekend ?. I'll most certainly be back.“
