“Best Indian Cuisine Ive ever had. Must try the mango butter chicken and lemon chicken. Great family restaurant great service and top notch eats.”
“Food was delicious. Came in got seated right away. Got my food in less than 15 minutes which is insanely fast. Definitely coming back here more often”
“Best winery in New West! Found this cute spot by Steel & Oak and the wines did not disappoint. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, definitely recommend checking this place out.”

“Probably one of the called I am Happy restaurants after the meal you can enjoy clean, nice dishes at reasonable(actually low range) prices with 5 star services especially from two gentlemen working there. Even take out, they pack everything perfectly with a nice paper bag. One star missing from atmosphere is some of chairs needed to be cleaned after parties are left. I like this place. Reservation is recommended through their website before opening time!”

“Wild Thyme doesn’t just serve Lebanese food, it serves home. You walk in and it smells like someone’s grandmother has been slow-roasting garlic and blessings since sunrise. It’s small, always packed, and absolutely worth the wait. I’m convinced half of New West is just standing outside hoping for a table.
Now the food? Ridiculous. I ordered the chicken tawouk and it showed up looking like it had been plated with love and possibly divine intervention. The garlic sauce alone could end wars. The hummus is smooth, bold, and just disrespectfully good. And don’t even get me started on the saj bread. It’s like edible magic carpet material.
Portions are enormous. You think you’re ordering lunch, and suddenly you’re staring down a tray that could feed a wedding. Staff are warm and clearly proud of what they’re serving, and they should be. This isn’t fast food. This is soulful, unapologetic, flavor-loaded comfort. Wild Thyme isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a full-on experience.”
“The food was mediocre at best. The owner was a very rude person. He comes across as self righteous and condescending. I was shocked that this would be the experience there, especially after reading some of the other reviews. Unfortunately, this place is a hard no for me.”
“I go here roughly once a month, and I feel like every time it gets better than before. The service is always incredible and the food is amazing, love to go with a big group and get a family platter! Plus the whipped feta! If you like Greek you have to go here!”
“Had an amazing lunch today at Sapperton District Taphouse. I ordered the House Salad with cajun chicken and my daughter had the Kung Pao Noodle Bowl. We both loved our meals! We also tried the Moscow Mule they have on tap and a pint of the Vertical Winter Ale from Tree (drank that too fast to take a pic, so good). We felt very comfortable the whole time. Lots of covid restrictions in place and we especially liked that our utensils came individually packed and sanitized. We found out this place is entirely locally owned and they have a cold beer & wine store inside!! We took home some Rock Creek Cider on our way out. We will definitely be coming back soon.”

“Such a lovely and great atmosphere! The food is very delicious, and I loved every single dish that was served! The staff is so welcoming and warming! Treating everyone like they own family. Would recommend 10/10 ☺️👍🏽”
“Top notch sushi with great value at Sora sushi. They pack every order with care and have a great phone/online order experience ! My order was ready for pickup within 30 minutes
The party trays are great value a bit of everything and feeds 2-3 people easily
Quick service and quality can also be experienced when you dine in as well”
“Most delicious sushi in the area by far! Prices are reasonable and staff are always friendly
Parking: Behind the restaurant in a parking garage underground”
“Great sushi place to eat at in Victoria hill. I come for the aburi sushi. Service is great. Lots of people grab take out here I think it’s due to the condos near by. Food is good quality no complaints!”
“I was craving something I’ve never tried - Grace made the freshest most delicious Egusi with Poundo and WOW. My taste buds are exploding. Also love that it has the perfect amount of spice to it. I did think the portion of the soup could have been bigger but I Definitely will be back for more! Thanks Grace you did not disappoint.”

“Typical McDonald’s with a drive thru and plenty of parking. It’s right behind the gas station and sometimes the line up for the drive thru block the vehicle entry to the fast food joint. There are electronic menu boards you can order food from or directly from the counter, which can take a little while as most workers are busy with the drive thru and the orders. There are two floors, upstairs and downstairs with also a bathroom for those with disabilities. Separate counter areas for ordering and collecting orders.
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible on the first floor of the restaurant”
“Came in for a drink on a hot summer day, got a mango frosty. Surprisingly Cheap and really good
I wanted to charge my phone so I could install the iOS 26 developer beta and Ashley was very helpful, brought out the sphagetti factory portable charger for me”
Takeout Restaurants
“Counter in a mall food court, except that there is only one other food counter in this mall, and the seating is a handful of tables lining a wide hallway. Service was good although orders definitely take longer than a typical fast food burger place to fulfill. The burgers are good and the special orders accurate, but the fries are perfect. Each and every one crispy and fluffy. None of the uneven cooking commonly seen in wedge or steak fries. The garlic fries are very garlicky. 🥰”
“Super affordable and satisfying poutine and soft serve. The poutine is properly seasoned, fries are creamy inside but well fried on the outside and the curds are melty and give great cheese pulls. The maple soft serve is everything you want in soft serve and not too sweet!
The service is quick, friendly and reliable! They know what they are doing.
Just be warned that there is no AC and it is HOT in the summer heat. I recommend getting the poutine and eating in the shade outside for some air and returning for ice cream when you're ready.”

“Columbia Street Catering catered our Dad’s celebration of life today in New Westminster and did an incredible job! Their staff are incredibly friendly and showed up early to get set up. Everyone was very impressed with the selection and quality of the food. We will definitely be using them again for our next event! Highly recommended!”

“I had an unforgettable experience at Woomi Sushi! This place is an absolute gem. Not only are the prices so reasonable, but the quality here far exceeds anything else I’ve tried in town.
Every piece of sushi is crafted with such care—the fish is incredibly fresh, and the rice is perfectly seasoned. Their rolls are exceptional, each bite bursting with layers of flavor, but the Avocado Oshi with a hint of truffle is truly on another level!
With generous portions, warm and attentive service, and an inviting atmosphere, Woomi Sushi has quickly become my new favorite spot. A must-visit for all sushi lovers!”
“Savanna...greated us with a lovely smile...seated us in a nice table in the shade...it was a potential 6 quest seating...but she was cool with that...our Halbit was perfectly prepared as was the prawns... and the coleslaw and fries made for a perfect meal..the Okanagan Springs & white wine made for a great late lunch in The Hood...The Beattie Clan”
“Probably the best pizza in B.C. I've only been here 3 times now, but every time I pick up from them, I end up loving their food! The crust is buttery, the toppings are high quality, and the service is outstanding. Thank you to Daisy for the great conversation, and amazing food! You guys are amazing!”
“A great place for our large party on Saturday! Great food, great service and great fun!”

“This is an awesome place to be for fast and tastiest food . I was there with a friend yesterday who introduced me to this and today I woke up , got ready to get another box for my second day. With the food, the lady who attends to you is very nice as well. While you wait for the food , she offered me a hot chai tea and a snack to taste. Great service with a smile . #supportsmallBusiness . Thank you for great good”
“I usually don’t enjoy mainstream cocktails, but the drinks here are a completely different experience. Each one is genuinely unique and creative. Highly recommend if you're looking for something a little different from the usual bar scene.”
“Waited a really long time to try this place for their gooey cinnamon rolls, since their signs always made them sound the best. We managed to snag the last two rolls that day, but I was disappointed when they tasted just average like something from Cinnzeo or Cinnabon. Good enough, but no homemade quality about it.
The chipotle corn chowder and bagel sandwich were delicious and filling. I would go back for lunch if nearby.
Atmosphere was chill and relaxed enough, but our server, an older gentleman, was not very friendly. He was very grumpy, grumbled when he spoke, and just didn’t seem to care or want to be there. The lady behind the counter seemed to be more busy and efficient, and made light conversation with my kid when she stepped in to help with our table. If I do come back, I’d go for the lunch specials, not the cinnamon rolls or the particular server.”
“To me it's a breakfast place and a popular one but they serve more that that, there's chinese specials and burgers on the menu too. The decor isn't much to write home about but it's clean, The owner will greet you with a friendly hello and you can even get a refill on your coffee, most of the time you never have to ask. I've never been disappointed ever and I've been going there many years.”
“Cheap and large quantity. The boss is very nice.
The taste is ordinary, a bit bland, the rice is not very good, and it is oily. If you eat a hair, it's not a big problem.
A large mutton platter and a drink cost 17 Canadian dollars.
There is no dine-in, but you can sit outside and eat in the open air.”
“We held a company dinner here for 70 people and we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. The patio is super cute but we had a lot of Oilers fans and the pub accommodated with the game on every screen. We all arrived at once and they were hustling to get everyone a drink and that service level was maintained for the evening with everyone satisfied. We had a buffet of standard pub food (keep your expectations as such and you'll be happy) and the pulled pork sliders were the highlight. They even brought some of the platters around to the tables which was much appreciated! James and his team did an amazing job keeping our team hydrated and fed!”
“Cat, Jeff, Elise and Sierra are great. Food is good, shared kitchen with limited menu with OSF. Drinks are cheap and good environment. Trivia on Wednesday’s with Graham is fun, and music bingo on Tuesday’s of fun too. Great little place. Highly recommend.”
Cheap Eats
“Sometimes the best dining experiences pop up in the most unexpected places. This little joint is tucked away off the beaten path in an industrial area—not exactly where you'd expect to find memorable flavors—but that’s part of the charm. Given how many well-loved spots have shut down lately due to sky-high lease renewals, we’ll probably see more great eateries springing up in unconventional corners to stay in the game. And honestly, we came for the food, but the inside is surprisingly cozy too.
From what I gather, this spot recently shifted concepts and now leans into Korean fusion, offering a lineup that can satisfy fans of classic Asian dishes, Western comfort food, and the curious middle ground in between. Which made ordering a struggle, in a good way, because so many dishes sounded great. The K-Rose special was the standout for me, perfectly blending two culinary worlds, and I’m glad we got it with the seaweed rice bowl to soak up every last drop of sauce. The bulgogi platter was another win. Serve me anything I can wrap into ssam, and I’m all in. You might need to ask for extra lettuce because the meat portion is no joke, but that’s hardly a complaint. Everything we had was packed with bold, vibrant flavors and left us genuinely satisfied.
There are a few small things I’m sure they are still ironing out while finding their footing with the new concept, but the talent in that kitchen is evident. They deserve a bit of spotlight, and I hope their venture picks up steam. Give them a try as they are doing something special out there.”
“I was in New West for a meeting, so after I was hungry. I had a choice, it was either McDonald's or across the street Jim's Cafe. I decided to give Jim's a try,and I'm sure glad I did. The atmosphere was great, service was wonderful and the food was just great!! To bad I live in North Vancouver, otherwise I would be at Jim's almost everyday. But I'll be there, for sure, next time I'm in New Westminster!! See you then!!!”
“I'm a New West resident and have been going to Steel & Oak probably since it first opened and any time I have served growlers of their beer at gatherings on my deck, people have loved it. I recently went there with a group of non-New West friends and everybody enjoyed the beer, food, service, atmosphere and vinyl collection. As I was paying my tab there was a problem with the credit card machine and I was inadvertently charged twice. When I dropped in to explain what happened the staff were super friendly and helpful in getting me a refund. I’ll continue to tell people how great this place is and be in on a regular basis.”
“I tried their fried chicken noodle. Meat portion is 25% of the whole noodle plate.
But I like the taste and texture.
I tried their chicken fried rice and fried chicken with dry peppers.
Fried rice was average and had 20% chicken and 80% rice, I shared with another person as we are small rice eaters.
They have a seating capacity for 12. And tables were already taken on Sunday during lunch hours.
Good service and reasonable price.”
“Massawa restaurant has accommodated our big family with children for a dinner. The food was really good especially the Tibs. The waitress was amazing, welcoming, and very proportional. According to our group of coffee lovers, the coffee they had had the best taste with a hint of ginger. Our gratitude goes out to the waitress for the amazing service she provided us and for taking care of the other customers in the restaurant even though she was the only one there.”
“We’re not vegans, so we weren’t sure what to expect, but the food really impressed us. I had the chow mein and my wife went with the curry. Both were super tasty and filling. The curry was a bit thick. Service was warm, portions were generous, and the whole experience just felt easy and pleasant. We’ll definitely be coming back!”
“Just like FRENCH POETRY! Every bite of their delectable pastry and savory options is a delight! This gem is located in the Vancover area and bound to be an instant family favorite. Multiple awards winning Chef who takes pride in using the best ingredients and authentic recipes.”
“Love this place, staff are always amazing and Blair goes above and beyond. Great neighbourhood locale and great Butter Chicken. Thanks Blair and Team for an always amazing visit! Megan”
“Price and portion is extremely well! The atmosphere isn’t the best but renovations are in progress to fix up the entire place. Food is crispy and not oily as well as tasty!! The server was extremely nice making sure food was great and everything is perfect!”

“Came in to try this place out with my parents! Really great place and service, very welcoming and sweet staff. Portions on the Shawarma are not cheap and full of meat, tried out the lamb and chicken it was delicious. Would recommend this place out for sure if you’re ever around.”

“The food is always great and they seem to maintain their taste on my favourite dishes. The salmon was cooked to perfection as I have requested. The only thing is, they served it with a small portion of rice (as substitute) which our server happily asked the kitchen for more. ( I told him to tell the kitchen staff to never serve 3 tablespoons of rice to an Asian customer.)”
“Our server, Emmaline, was the highlight of our night! She was attentive and was able to serve us right away despite how busy the lounge was this evening. Great attitude, hard working and very warm.
Food was whatever.. it’s Boston Pizza, you get exactly what you expect from Boston pizza lol my lettuce a lil limpy but meh it is what it is. Service definitely made up for the food!!”
