“Owner Alan and wait staff Denise made us feel so at home! This pub is charming and being from Irish decent we thoroughly enjoyed the many decorations (especially the garden gnomes). The food was fantastic and the price was right! We will certainly be back??“

“A warm place for tourists to rest and wait for the ferry. There are lots of seats here and also some televisions that play sports games. Servers are friendly. However, hot chocolate tastes ghastly terrible, definitely the worst in my life. Coffee is too expensive for its quality. There’s free milk and cream for the coffee.“

“Although I am not exactly the target audience for an English Tea room, I have to say that Butchart far exceeded any expectations! Although we have been to the Gardens many times over the last 4 decades, this is the first time that my wife suggested that we take “High Tea” before our stroll through the amazing gardens... And of course it proved to be a wonderful idea as I relished every bite and sip (we also had the 3-glass “taster” which paired with the food nicely)... I will absolutely be taking tea on our next visit!“

“The Marigold Cafe is an absolute must-visit spot, especially when you're out on a bike trip around the peninsula. I frequently stop here during my rides, and it has become my favorite break spot. Not only is it a great place to recharge with a snack and some energy, but the atmosphere is just perfect for a relaxing pause. The cafe is always clean, giving a refreshing and welcoming vibe. Additionally, the staff are consistently friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience. It's a little haven for cyclists and anyone looking for a cozy spot to unwind. “I always take my friend out for dinner on the birthday and many other restaurants offer a small dessert with a candle on it or a sparkler. I asked and was told they could give me a candle if I bought the dessert. I think I would take others there for their birthday but won't. It would benefit your business if you acknowledged special dates for your customers.“

Earl grey martini was tasty as well as the salted caramel bar. Nice atmosphere. Good place to go for a special occasion or date night. Best to reserve here tho. Even on a Monday night it was pretty busy!“

“Landed and picked up the rental car, found this place minutes from the airport. Wife has celiac and says they have gf options so off we went without much of an expectation.It's a nice little gem for sure. Very reasonably priced and delicious food. Took celiac seriously and the service was fantastic. Quaint little joint for a bite. ??“

“Fish and chips were really nice as was the soup. The service was very good also. The only gripe I have is that it was very expensive for what it was. $28 for a one piece halibuti and chips?! Three of us went there for lunch, two had soup and we each had a drink with our fish and chips. Our bill, including 18% tip was $160! I think the pricing must be geared towards tourists not locals. Way more expensive than other places nearby.“

“What can I say about Julie, Toni and the staff? Outstanding. I buy food there fairly often, but my favorite is Christmas dinner with ginger carrot soup. Julie won't give me the recipe! :) The food here is fantastic and just the right amount. They work hard to make their food great. I'm glad to support this local business in Sidney.“

“Service was excellent! But I do not recommended the Braised Short ribs at $34.00!!! Sever said it was delicious and the meat just falls off the bone..Not true at all !!! So tough and the potatoes oven roasted tasted oily and deep fried, mushroom glaze way to salty..But on a good note the seafood chowder was delicious..“

“This place has the type of urinal refreshers that prevents any splashback while you pee, so that's an automatic four stars. The extra star is because the service, food, and atmosphere is amazing. If I could give it 10 stars I would because they employ local musicians. Love this place!! This is how a pub should be run ???“
