“Visited as part of an Alaska cruise. Victoria was the last port before the ending at Seattle. Very nice little craft brewery and distillery. Tried an excellent chocolate stout beer and some even better Irish style and Scotch style whiskeys. One aged in wine casks was to die for. Very informative short tour.“

“We chose the Fireside as our daughter's wedding reception venue. The ambiance under the tent and twinkle lights was magical. The whole experience was absolutely perfect. The outstanding tasty buffet selection was given compliments by all our guests. I also want to acknowledge the 2 dedicated servers who looked after us so attentively...amazing. “Saw this place on Restaurant near me..and thought the concept was great, it was a nice day. So we visited..mum had the Buyer and she liked it..I had the Veggi Baggett with shredded carrots, beets,hummus ect it was great..we didn't try their fresh cut fries, but will one day..the people are friendly and there's lots of places to seat and eat..ill be back.Vegetarian options: All the colors of the rainbow in the Veggi sandwich“

“I cannot comment on the food, as we recently went to Artisan Bistro in Broadmead only for coffee. It was on a Tuesday afternoon, around 2 o'clock. The restaurant was practically full. The space is pleasant, bright and cheerful, with small tables and a few booths. The coffee was good. Although we only had coffee, the service was excellent. Our waiter was prompt, attentive and courteous, never rushed us, even though we stayed for a couple of hours, drinking coffee and water. As for the food, I must say I glanced at the tables around us but did not find the looks or the smell of the food enticing. In fairness, our friends looked at the dinner menu, liked the selection and likely will go back.“

The owner/ manager stopped by and we were assured there were gluten free items. We stayed and the food was great. Thanks for taking the time to ensure your customers get food that is not going to make them sick.Dietary restrictions: They have a few GF items but you must insist on no contamination or who knows.“

“My wife and I couldn't believe how good this little family-run Thai restaurant is! We've traveled all through (incredible) Thailand, and we've been enjoying Thai food since of firat encounter in 1986, so we know what good Thai food is. What blows us away is, Sabhai is better than any Thai food that we've had in Vancouver, and pretty much anywhere else we've eaten it outside of Thailand, and it's in the small town of Sidney. We ate at some amazing restaurants on this trip to the island: Marilena, The Wind Cries Mary, and Pizzeria Prima Strada, but we enjoyed our meal at Sabhai the most. You bet we will be eating their EVERY time we come over to the Rock! Such nice people that own it, too. Can't wait until we return so we can try other dishes. The dishes we had were: (12.) Kee Mao Noodles (Drunken Noodles), (27.) Panang Gai (Panang Curry), (37.) Goong Nam Prik Pow (Roasted Chili Prawns), and (51.) Khao Khati (Coconut Jasmine Rice). We had 3 dishes between three people, and they were equally delicious, and portions are generous. The place was jam-packed, so that tells you something, too.“

“A chef change over took place since my last visit. The place continues to be welcomed by locals during lunch hours on a busy Friday.We have made reservation made for a group of three. Waitress is attentive on our dinning progress and communicates with other staff.Things are made fresh so it could take a bit of time. I find their chicken karaage over fried and large pieces are tough to chew on. Agedashi tofu is lightly fried but soaked sitting in too much sauce. Salmon and yellowtail sashimi are fresh and outstandingly sliced.Ice cream dessert is on the pricy end for one scoop.Will return for another frieds meet up.“

“Excellent food… excellent friendly service… one of the best Caesar salads I’ve ever had…. Unfortunately they have horribly uncomfortable chairs!! We simply can’t go back because they’re so painful to sit on…. you’d think management would want their clients to be comfortable and want to stay but we had to quickly eat and leave.“

“After the pandemic they decided not to go back to providing a buffet. This was a good choice because their menu is sooo much better. They seem to be unbelievably fast in preparing the food too. Literally ready in 7 minutes! Hot and very tasty! Our go-to place for Chinese food now.“

“This place has the type of urinal refreshers that prevents any splashback while you pee, so that's an automatic four stars. The extra star is because the service, food, and atmosphere is amazing. If I could give it 10 stars I would because they employ local musicians. Love this place!! This is how a pub should be run ???“
