“GREAT EXPERIENCE! 1st time here and boy did WE FEEL RIGHT AT HOME! Lucas our awesome server was super helpful!! All recommended food and broth was amazing. Their “mild” spice is definite try… Start with mild first and work from there…“
“can call the server from a room (if your group is big). and they will come really quickly.they got free parking in aberdeen center parking.will want to wear a dark color as its likely to get soup splattered onto ur shirt or top.they have aprons and cover for your jackets. but aprons wont save your shoulder and arm“
“Staff was awesome explained everything and were there to answer any questions we had or help adjust hot pot spice lvl I'm a chef and usually slice everything so it was nice to be able to enjoy some good mala spice as I'm addicted to the numbing peppercorns I ate my bodyweight in lamb beef and seafood total for two ppl w pork bone broth and beef talo was 90 before tip looking forward to going back as we came from Vancouver island and will bring friends next time“
“Thanks to the power of Google Maps, I found a spicy hotpot that relieves my nostalgia through the system. Just entering the store and seeing everything in the seasoning area was amazing, coupled with the warm service of the clerk Amma^_^The total amount is less than 21 Canadian dollars per person. I can only say that I want to eat all the bottom of the pot??“
“Using the Waitlist is a life saver. I also counted the wrong number of heads, and showed up a bit earlier to talk to the host. She adjusted my number with no problems and we discussed what was the best seating for our party.Well kept, clean, organized. The service was amazing, very pleasant and professional, and readily available. The food was excellent! My 11-year old son said it was 5-stars! And that we should come back again I couldn't agree more.“
“The best hot pot in Vancouver, with fresh ingredients and special soup. One person can choose the flavor he likes in one pot, and it is also suitable for gatherings. I chose fish maw pot, which is rare in Taiwan. The soup is full of chicken soup flavor and does not need the delicious sauce. In addition, the service staff's attitude is also very good, friendly and energetic.Suitable for you who like to try new things or are tired of spicy hotpot.“
“After hearing so much about the salty peppery chicken here, I just had to come by for a taste. Parking is available in the Empire lot outside. Staff are friendly. Looks like a mom and pop. I messed up and accidentally ordered a "large chicken nugget" instead of "chicken nugget combo". As a result, I got 1.5 containers' worth of chicken nuggets. Quite the First World problem. They get to be a bit much after the first 30 pieces, but I managed to down everything. See photo. As others have mentioned, pricing is very reasonable. Guess I'll be back to try their combo, which comes with less meat, but also rice and sides. Recommended.“
“In a time when customer service has seemingly taken a backseat; this place rises above and these are the type of people I wish to support and hope to succeed. What a great environment, quality items and DELICIOUS food. I could not recommend this place enough. Thank you so much for your generosity, service and amazing food. We hope to return.“
“The food is excellent and you can order refills for the side dishes . But keep in mind that the place is small so you might have to wait for a while but it won’t usually take too long. Most of the food is spicy so if you don’t prefer spicy food then you might have to tell them to make the food without the spicy stuff.“
“Bring your appetite and empty bellies :) the happy hour after 9pm is totally worth the price.Came back to Cho Cho during daytime and the food never disappoints. Everything is esp fresh and very very filling. They have select dim sum available in the daytime along with their usual choices of fresh ingredients to choose from. We ordered the unlimited drinks but I was only able to try one flavour since I got really full.“
“The servers were really helpful and accommodating with our group of 11 people and 2 toddlers. Service was top notch. Food was very tasty and the dessert bar was great. Food is pricy but definitely will recommend and will come back again.“
“This is a nice restaurant to go to when you are looking to treat yourself for a night out. It is a small cozy place but can be cramped if you have a large party. They have a wide selection of food in their menu. The combo is a great deal and reasonably priced for the amount of food you get: you can choose your own broth, type of meat, a drink, and udon/rice/vermicelli. You will definitely leave with your stomach full.Service is great from the start. If you go at night time, they can get busy, but the servers are polite and accommodating. They do their job to inform you that everyone in your party must arrive to be seated. Even when they are busy, wait time is reasonable and not too long. They will even let you see the menu and take your order while you wait, so you will sit down with your food ready in front of you. Servers are attentive as well throughout, will make sure you have what you need at all times.10/10 would recommend to at least try once“
“This place has the feeling of a small family run restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and fast. Our family of 6 was served and fed in under 30 minutes . We did their family special dinner for 5 .The food was brought out immediately from the kitchen as soon as it was ready. It was great to have a steady flow of new dishes to try, and it allowed us to be a little early to our next appointment.Street parking was the only challenge.Parking: Street parking only.“
“Their ayce hot pot deal is pretty good, priced at $39.99 per person, which includes access to the hot food bar, sauce bar, and a selection of soup bases.Their menu is extensive, offering a wide range of options including seafood, chicken, pork, beef, and lamb. I was happy to spot raw eggs—I thoroughly enjoyed finishing my hot pot with a delicious egg drop soup. The other finds that made me happy was the popping boba at their jelly station.Overall, I highly recommend this spot!“
“Spend my birthday here w. Family, there were no one other than us so it was really nice and quiet. We ordered spicy rice cake, kimchi fried rice, butter garlic chicken and a spicy chicken which were all good. My favorite was the butter garlic one i could not stop eating it, very crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I did find the kimchi fried rice a bit too oily for my taste but overall everything was great!“
“Today is my first time to eat Happy Lamb. Sister Jun's service is so considerate. It gives us the feeling of going back to our own home to eat. I have to give this service a five-star rating. I hope the manager will praise it. Such excellent staff❤️❤️“
“Hiya Mori here! I went to Bigway for the first time because of my love for hotpot and I honestly enjoyed it. They have a wide selection of food you can choose from and you pile it up in the pot they give you. Then you pay for the weight and sit at a table while they cook it for you! They’re very good for their fast service and kindness! I probably explained that very badly but bear with me here. They also provide take out containers for whatever you can’t finish and also give you free ice cream at the end! The only problem is the space as I had accidentally knocked down someone’s water as I was getting out of my seat because the tables are incredibly close together.“
“Came here for AYCE sushi for $38.Overall the toppings were high quality. Fish cake and shrimp was fresh, veggies were fresh, and the meats were good quality served on a plate of ice.Broth was a bit disappointing. Both the white pepper and the Szechuan broth had no flavour to soak the meat, could have used more salt or richness. Tom yum broth was great however. And there’s also sauce provided to dip your meat.Service was decent, and you can get ice cream to end your meal on a sweet note.“
“It's so delicious~But if you want to order, you have to wait a long time, and if you forget something and they don't give it to you, you have to wait a long time again. The space between tables was too narrow to allow conversation.“
“I think this is going to be my new favourite hot pot restaurant. Not only is it beautifully decorated, had attentive and friendly service but the quality of food was outstanding. We had the tomato broth and the flavour was beautiful. Very good selection of skewers and good selection of side dishes. I’m usually very sensitive to MSG in food but couldn’t detect any in any of their dishes which is a huge plus for me. Good quality ingredients prepared professionally! Thanks for a great dinner experience. (This was our second visit, both times were throughly enjoyable).“
“This is an awesome AYCE hotpot experience for $39.99 per person with the soup base included in the price. For $2.00 more you can opt in for the all-you-can-drink option which includes ice jelly, plum juice, passion fruit juice, lemon juice, and classic soda like coke. What sets this ayce hotpot experience apart from others is that they have fridges where the hot pot ingredients are (like seafood, meats, skewers, fish balls, veggies, noodles, etc. ) and you get up and self serve it yourself. This way, you don’t need to wait to be served food and you can control how much of each item you want and it limits food wastage. The sauce bar and soup bases are both included in the $39.99 price here as well. It’s like going to Big Way Hot Pot but ayce and you are able to cook all the items to your liking yourself. You can also order some hot food items and extra meats on the app a la carte which are also included in the ayce package. The service was attentive and they kept refilling our AYCD drinks very quickly which was nice.We tried the tomato soup ? and it was good! The fried fish nuggets and fried pork was also tasty. The mochi fish balls, ice jelly, and Thai fish balls stuffed with lemongrass curry are also a must! Another thing I noticed here is the variety of items you can get is vast so you get to try so many items you normally would not order a la carte (check out the enclosed pictures).Great value and very satisfying. Would come back for all you can eat hot pot buffet here for sure.“
“Beijing kids finally get to eat braised pork! It’s really authentic and tastes just like what I had before in Beijing! And Kung Pao Chicken! Oh my god my favorite! I heard the chef is changing! Now he is a chef at Beijing Hotel! Cooking is really “
“Great hot pot place! Very friendly stuff and fast service. The food is really good, fresh and in good quality, and they are in pretty good portions as well, it’s very good value. Stuffs are super helpful and will tell you the correct way to eat. Would definitely recommend this place!Parking: Parking it’s located at the side of restaurant, it’s in a garage and it’s free for two hours“
“The place is super clean and well set up when you walk in. You enter to grab a bowl and tongs then pick right away what kind of food you want for your hot pot. It’s easy to put too much so go on the light side if it’s your first time. Then you go up to the counter and pick your soup base. Then they take it and cook it for you, brining it to your table. So in other words, it’s the best kind of hot pot. You don’t have to cook your own food, but get to eat it in individual bowls.Definitely a nice change to cooking the food in front of yourself and then taking just the pieces that are cooked one by one.Careful of the level of spice as it can get real hot really quick. Overall, great place. Love how clean it is, and how you can keep going back to try more and more with different sauces every other day. This place will definitely become a regular stop for us! ?“
“This just might be my new favourite hot pot restaurant. I loved the combination of foods that came in my Vegetarian set, and was very impressed with the flavor of the broth once I had finished cooking and eating everything on my tray. I've experienced very salty broth at other hot pot restaurants, especially if they refill my pot with more broth instead of plain hot water. Here, they refilled with broth but the soup was still good to drink at the end of evening, and not overly salty. Plus, the meal came with a drink as well as an ice cream cone, and I do love my ice cream! We've been to other hot pot restaurants that are AYCE but I think I prefer having a set meal. It gives me a wide variety of foods, and at the same time it forces me to stop eating whereas with the AYCE hot pots, I have a tendency to overeat and then I just end up feeling ridiculously full to the point where I can't think of anything but my fullness!Service: GoodParking: Free covered parking at the side of the buildingLocation: 4877 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC“
“The dishes Shelley cooked were all high quality and genuinely enjoyable. Among all, Pho Suon Bo (with beef bone and noodle), crab spring rolls, and Vietnamese glazed chicken wings were my favourite. The beef was so tender and it blended well with the hot soup and tasty noodle. Also, crab spring rolls and chicken wings were crispy and well seasoned that they were quite addictive although I was already full.Ken was quite helpful, super attentive, and sincerely willing to provide the best customer service.I highly recommend this place and definitely will come back.“
“Was surprised that the place was quite empty when we went. Seems like they do more takeouts than dine-ins. The skewers and the hotpot were all really good. Good portion as well. I’d say the skewers here are as good as those from happy tree house BBQ. If you love spicy food, I’d recommend giving it a try.“
“As we were peeking in from outside to check for available seats, a friendly young Asian gentleman greeted us. The service, food quality, and overall experience were decent. I would certainly recommend this place, especially if you enjoy ma la tang or choosing your own ingredients. Additionally, it seems they have a seasonal promotion where they offer a complimentary Coke. Note: Two dollars rice with limited refill. I will be back again soon.“
“The way the tables and individual soups are designed is smart. With 6 of us we ordered 4 combos between us and a bunch of sides and we were stuffed. The combo had a huge bowl of veg, shrimp and dumplings so there is variety. 3 Kids shared a bowl and that was still plenty. Great quality and service. Rare you can get the taste, value and service from a legit Chinese restaurant. Check out this place vs a joke of a Singaporean restaurant next door.“
“I highly recommend this tofu and seafood stew. The oysters are super large. I like hot food to relieve my nostalgia for Taiwan. I ordered too much this time. We only have three adults. We can’t finish it. It’s nice to eat it occasionally. The waiter is kind. He is polite and wears a decent uniform. Not bad, come again next time“
“Opens late and it's cash only. Or etransfer...Food is on point. Although the clams should come out a lot hotter (temperature wise). Fish is good, fried rice could use some seasoning.Good price. A hungry guy can polish off these items.Would come back on late nights.“
“Nice option to use your own creativity and mix the ingredients you would like to be cooked for your own soup? There lots of different ingredients there: seafood, meat, mushrooms, vegetables, etc. You can also make you own sauce for the soup and you will get ice-cream in the end?“
“My first time dining here and it will certainly not be my last! I came here with my son and his gf who have eaten here many times with friends and is one of their favourite spots. The idea is simple. Pick from a wide variety of ingredients for your individualized hot pot and choose your broth. They charge by weight of your food, cook it and bring it to your table when done. You can customize your dipping sauce from a variety of condiments as well. A great place to grab a quick delicious meal and vegetarian friendly too!“
“I came here on a late evening and it was close to closing time. After getting off the ferry at Horseshoe Bay, I was looking for a bit of comfort food to feed the soul. I have always wanted to go to China to try the real deal so Dan Dan noodle joints comes to mind. The waitress was soft spoken and prompt. She gave me a few suggestions and I went with Dan Dan noodles and Hot and sour wontons soup. I used to be a spice/heat buff but I prefer to taste my food nowadays. I ordered “mild” spice level but the waitress informed me that means there is 0% heat in the dish. I hesitated but went with “spicy” based on her guidance. The food came as pictured in the menu. Everything tasted homemade and fresh. The waitress was right about the spice levels. The “spicy” wasn’t spicy at all. It had floral notes to its spice level which would make sense since this dish is traditionally made with pepper corn. The overall flavor was seasoned perfectly. A healthy dose of peppercorn would make it that much more memorableParking: The COV app now charges a $0.15 fee to pay by the app“
“Clean well managed but a small size store. They have about less than 8 tables. You can pick your own ingredients and take them to the cashier to pay by weight. You will be asked to choose the type of broth and its spicy level. They will cook the pot and bring to your table. If you pay for the rice bowl, you can have an unlimited number of rice and one house-made cup of drink(like sweetened cold tea in a plastic sealed cup) . Canned and bottle drinks are extra cost.“
“A great place for individual hot pot that boils right in front of you. The curry cream hot pot tasted great and they give double meat portions now. There is an option for complimentary all you can eat rice if you don’t choose vermicelli as your side. We chose vermicelli which comes individually packaged so if you don’t want it right away, you can take it home. Portions are great. We also had the mutton hot pot which was so delicious and beautiful we were too excited to eat and finish it that we forgot to take pictures. The mutton soup was very fragrant with Chinese herbs. The service was fantastic, kind, and respectful. The Hokkaido milk tea was average. Solid place for individual hot pot combos.“
“Amazing hole in the wall! Brother and sister team are incredible and we love supporting them. They are friendly, the hot pot is Individual so each person can eat what they want and interactive, portions are huge. Love this place and highly recommend!“
