“Out of this world waffles. I've never been to Brussels, but I don't know how they could beat Nero. The Liege Benedict Waffle with Avocado was incredible, I never considered savory waffles before. It was crispy, fresh, and well flavored. I'm not usually a fan of spicy food or hot sauce, but their homemade hot sauce was a perfect blend of acidity, flavor, and heat adding just the right zest. The Banella Brulee Belgian Waffle was also exquisite, just the right amount of chewy waffle with the velvety chocolate whipped cream and ice cream.The service was top notch, we were immediately greeted with a smile, and were initially seated on the patio with a slight reluctance on our part. As we were seated, we were informed that a seat inside became available and they quickly accommodated us inside. The food and beverages came out incredibly fast, and I felt well taken care of.The atmosphere and ambiance was perfect, a great blend of wood, metallic elements, tile, leather, and live plants giving a very balanced industrial yet cozy vibe.Prices were quite fair for the portions and quality. We ended up having a bill just over C$50 for two drinks and two entrees.Would highly recommend. No complaints.“

“We’ve went twice this winter to try their pancakes and waffles. We find the sweet pancake too sweet to our liking. Vegetable pancake is good. There tend to be a wait time for the waffles but they provide a pager that will beep once the order is ready. Waffles were piping hot, especially the custard flavour. I tend to like red bean but not so much here. Veggie waffle is good.Overall great experience. Nothing beats being able to eat freshly cooked waffles/pancakes outside on a cold day.“
“First time at this location and it is quite a comfortable spot with very nice decor. Seemed like a good meetup spot for creatives to work, judging by the people who were sitting and working at the table over holding a meeting. They do note a 2 hr seating limit though but it makes sense to clear tables for other guests. Friendly staff and I liked the strawberry jelly pearls they had. Also the first time I've seen a bbt place offer free samples!! They let us try their new drink and it was awesome to taste without having to actually order the drink. Drinks are also aesthetic and tasty. Priced on the higher end for bbt but it has a lot to offer in one drink.“

“We had our wedding reception here, let me start off by saying the manager/owner was so sweet, she and her husband were so quick to confirm that we could hold our wedding here. She offered to create a sign for outside the restaurant, always quickly responded to any questions or concerns. They also ordered just for our event extra tables and chairs. The employees/waiters/waitresses here are so sweet and attentive, and for their first experience doing a wedding, I was impressed with how well they adapted to the chaos of at capacity customers and crowds. The magic of the day can not happen without the people behind the scenes hustling to make it special. Waffleland cafe is so beautiful and a sweet gem in the heart of Gastown, we are so lucky to be the first wedding and I just know there will be more. Cute, whimsical, romantic decor made it so easy to add little bits to customize it to our celestial/forest. We were given a little card/gift from the owner and a sweet card that we read as we left the event. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you again Waffleland team!“
“I had the sandwich combo with a brie sandwich and honey lavender milk tea. The sandwich I recommend! It was really good! The milk tea I had at 30% sugar but I still found it to be a bit sweet. Overall it was really good, I’d love to come back to try the waffles or bingsoo. There is a lot of seating and the service was fast:)“
“A little warm inside since it's a small space with limited seating (expect to be in close proximity to someone else if you're dining in). But the waffles were incredible and I've been thinking about them since I've left Vancouver, I got the tiramisu and a vanilla latte. I was a little sad they didn't have lavender syrup but the staff was super kind and really helpful with fast service.“

High ceilings and clean interior, not much seating and limited to 1 hour of dining per table. More instagram-aesthetic than it is cozy.“
“Beautiful little bistro style restaurant. It’s a small place that can probably seat about 15 comfortably, outdoor seating is also available. I went there for breakfast. And their selection is on point: just enough variety and specializing in Waffles. The experience was nice. The wait was on the longer side even though they seemed to be staffed appropriately. “First time at this gem ! I ordered their chilled latte and had their GF lemon cookies today. I also had the chance to try their waffles and chocolate, orange muffin. Everything here you can tell is made out of quality substances and love. The cookie had a very unique cake-like texture. The interior has a very warm, rustic vibe. The staff are superb. Warm and friendly. This is a solid place that more people needs to know about!“
“Wonderful cafe and restaurant with a great location!Had brunch here with a friend during the weekend and although the place was a bit small, we were able to get seats in the barstool area.We ordered the following food:- ube turon- traditional bangers & toast- portabella benedictThe ube turon was really good and not too sweet. The traditional bangers were good and the portion was perfect. The fruits were fresh and sweet. The only con I would say about the bangers was the egg yolk was a bit overcooked. My friend got the Benedict so I can't really review it but he seemed to like it!I also ordered a large flat white and was surprised how large it was! It was quite delicious.Service here was also great. Servers were friendly and attentive. The interior of the cafe was clean and modern with a typical hipster cafe atmosphere.One feedback I would give regarding the interior would be to add some mirrors along the white brick wall on the barstool area to make that area of the cafe look larger and more appealing.Location is also awesome with just a few steps away from Joyce SkyTrain station!Overall, this is a nice cozy place to have coffee and hang out on a lazy weekend and enjoy breakfast with a Filipino twist. ☕️??“
“This place was quite busy when we came around 8pm. Only 2 people working but they were so quick, kind and professional. I never leave reviews but I had to for this place. They called us over and said the bubble waffle they made for our order was too dark and not to their standards. They offered to refund or give us a drink as they made another one for us. Most places would just say they forgot to make it or serve it burnt! Love the honesty/transparency and holding themselves to a high standing of serving high quality products. I would be happy to come here regularly. The iced Thai tea latte was perfect level of sweetness and very creamy. The strawberry and white chocolate bubble waffle was crisp and light, not too sweet! Highly recommend“

“First time here. Know we know why there are line-ups.The waffle is made with croissant dough. Brilliant. Only suggeation would be if you are asking for avocado on a Bennie,.ask for it on the side, they give you tons and it makes the craffle soggy. Oh, bring a fluffy coat of cushion if your sitting on the benches, which is almost half of the seats.Prices reason. The potatoes are amazing.Vegetarian options: Tons of vegan option.“
