“First time here. Know we know why there are line-ups.The waffle is made with croissant dough. Brilliant. Only suggeation would be if you are asking for avocado on a Bennie,.ask for it on the side, they give you tons and it makes the craffle soggy. Oh, bring a fluffy coat of cushion if your sitting on the benches, which is almost half of the seats.Prices reason. The potatoes are amazing.Vegetarian options: Tons of vegan option.“
“I've walked by this place numerous times and there was always a line out the door with a 45+ minute wait.I should've bought a lottery ticket this morning because there wasn't a line and I was seated immediately. About 5 minutes after being seated, the crowd arrived and the line out the door was more than 20 people long. The staff was nice, friendly and very professional.Though everyone says to order their waffles, I opted for the Sandwich au Roti de Boeuf (braised short ribs sandwich). The braised ribs, arugula and sunny side up egg were like a symphony of flavor.Their mocha is rich, smooth and creamy, exactly what you'd expect when using beans from 49th Parallel Coffee.Definitely recommend.“
“They deserve every star! Nero is the perfect choice for a first date, coworker get together, catching up with a friend or even just going on your own to get some mindfulness time! It is always one I recommend when visiting Vancouver since you can’t go wrong! Their breakfast is amazing especially the eggs Benedict, and the portions are a great size! this is the Vancouver version of Demetres (a popular Toronto dessert restaurant).“
“absolutely delicious brunch here this morning. the eggs in purgatory were packed full of flavour and beautifully presented, so much so that someone waiting for a coffee asked what dish I’d ordered so they could get it on their next visit!more than a little disappointed to find out that the gelato cart outside the cafe does not in fact have any gelato in it but I’ll let it slide due to the tasty food.great server too, who was attentive and gave us a comprehensive explanation of the menu. I stand by my recommendation for him to retry The Italians after a poor pasta experience in 2020. I’d be happy to accompany him and should he still not be satisfied, then dinner is on me.“
“Our U9 team was in town Feb 4-5 and Deb and her team were thrilled to host us - not all restaraunts would open up 3/4 of their space to that age group. Our meal and service from start to finish was simply outstanding. Highly recommend what a gem of a restaraunt.“
“Visited Pallet with friends and had an amazing time! The staff, especially the manager, were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was fun and lively. Not to mention, the food and drinks were delicious! Highly recommend stopping by for a great coffee experience.“
“What a hidden gem. Found it on Google and when we pulled up outside, I questioned it. But the food is excellent ? And the service was great too. Good quality breakfasts and delicious coffee. The bread tasted homemade, and the sausage was worth the upgrade. Also note, the bathroom is a Dr Who Tardis. Amazing. And there were board games to play while you waited (not for long) for food. A great spot that I'll make time for during my next Vancouver visit“
“We went here for brunch on a Saturday and the place was very full. We didnt know how popular this place was so we came at peak hour. Unfortunately we had to stand outside to wait for our table due to limited standing space inside but once we went in things moved pretty quickly. One couple sitting nearby even got a gentle reminder from a server to order as soon as possible since they took too long.We got the shakshuka and the free range eggs they used tasted so much better than what we usually get at the supermarket. It’d be nicer if the eggs were less cooked but the dish overall was very pleasant. The interior is very instagrammable too. If you’re into eclectic decor with local vibes, this is the place for you. However, be aware of the time limit during the weekend.“
“The good was amazing, I had the enchanted forest waffles and the espresso martini, I would definitely order both again! Also some excellent and friendly service by our waiter Chris.I am definitely going to go back again!Dietary restrictions: Dairy free and gluten free friendly!!“
“I highly recommend Hunnybee! Wonderful breakfast and brunch options served in a cozy space with an informal and hip vibe. Vancouver’s best breakfast sandwiches and possibly the world’s best ricotta pancakes - they’re to die for. And in the evenings Hunnybee puts on taco and wood fired-pizza nights with a lively atmosphere. Small wonder that the place has a dedicated customer base.“
“A little warm inside since it's a small space with limited seating (expect to be in close proximity to someone else if you're dining in). But the waffles were incredible and I've been thinking about them since I've left Vancouver, I got the tiramisu and a vanilla latte. I was a little sad they didn't have lavender syrup but the staff was super kind and really helpful with fast service.“
“Pretty good waffles, offers gluten free options too (yay!). The coffee is good, not the best ever but not horrible. The matcha Latte came pre-sweetened and was hard to drink; too sweet, and grainy. High ceilings and clean interior, not much seating and limited to 1 hour of dining per table. More instagram-aesthetic than it is cozy.“
“I love the virtual wait list option!! Definitely worth it especially since they were so busy. The food was great (short rib breakfast poutine). It was quite busy and we seemed to wait a long time for our meals… the server also seemed concerned with the long wait. The entrance is quite busy and a little disorganized and I found it weird that the high chairs were being stored right beside the toilet. I got the OEB gift card from Costco (pay $79.99 for 100 in gift cards) so that made it worth it!“
“I was introduced to this place by my relatives and I can say I was really impressed. We ordered tomato soup, avocado toast, Wednesday special BLT and veggie bibibop. All dish had fresh ingredients, yummy flavour and no flavours were an overkill. The staff were very friendly and checked in with us a couple times to see how we were doing. Overall, it’s a place where I can comfortably bring anyone for a nice brunch / lunch and have a good warm meal. Highly recommend giving this place a try.“
“Cute older couple that runs the shop. Great value for quick lunchThey have delicious sandwiches and Burgers with fries.. Soups and breakfasts are also good.I always think of my parents whenever I come to this place to eat. Makes me miss them“
“We had to wait for a seat since we were a larger group but we did get seated very quickly by the friendly staff. Our waiter was cute (Filipe) and friendly. Food was excellent and the staff always had our glasses filled. Certainly be back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“I was expecting it to be just coffee and baked goods but they serve brunch DAILY!!! Great atmosphere, staff got water out to you right away, food was delicious and coffee was good! Will need to go back and try their breakfast!Dietary restrictions: They had nut free baked good offerings for my daughterHad whole regular and oat milk but no almond milk“
“Wonderful cafe and restaurant with a great location!Had brunch here with a friend during the weekend and although the place was a bit small, we were able to get seats in the barstool area.We ordered the following food:- ube turon- traditional bangers & toast- portabella benedictThe ube turon was really good and not too sweet. The traditional bangers were good and the portion was perfect. The fruits were fresh and sweet. The only con I would say about the bangers was the egg yolk was a bit overcooked. My friend got the Benedict so I can't really review it but he seemed to like it!I also ordered a large flat white and was surprised how large it was! It was quite delicious.Service here was also great. Servers were friendly and attentive. The interior of the cafe was clean and modern with a typical hipster cafe atmosphere. One feedback I would give regarding the interior would be to add some mirrors along the white brick wall on the barstool area to make that area of the cafe look larger and more appealing.Location is also awesome with just a few steps away from Joyce SkyTrain station!Overall, this is a nice cozy place to have coffee and hang out on a lazy weekend and enjoy breakfast with a Filipino twist. ☕️??“
“Cute interior, good menu and staff. Loved the Paloma (without simple syrup). Their website mentioned "vegan" but nothing on the menu - they made a one-off vegan hash which was great. But the eggs benny underwhelmed - nothing special, kinda sad presentation, potatoes just okay.“
“Whatever amazing things people tell you about this place it is all true! Jam cafe is breakfast food heaven and the food is blessed by angels. I love their egg Benedict. I don’t think I’ve ever had breakfast food as delicious as this place makes breakfast food. My bf does not like pancakes (he’s a weirdo) but loved their red velvet pancakes. I heard after we left that the lattes they make are amazing and it’s unfortunate I did not get to try one. My only complaint is that they don’t have a shop in Toronto where I’m from.“
