This was my wife's birthday lunch out. We chose the Hooded Merganser because of our previous very positive experiences. My wife was looking forward to the chicken parmigiana but it has been removed as a menu option. Her second choice cheeseburger and fries was only OK. We all got the special menu for Dine Around Penticton, and it was fantastic and an incredible value. The pistachio crusted salmon was a wonderful combination of flavour and textures. So was the winter salad - sweet (apples, roasted squash) with a pleasant amount of crunch (apples again and pumpkin seeds). And the blackberry porter chocolate cake was delicious. I love this special restaurant elevated on piles over Okanagan Lake waves - truly unique! We shared the tuna poke and green curry bowls, paired with a Grey Monk Pinot Gris. Service was attentive but not overly. An experience to fondly remember!
