“One of the best 감자탕 I've had! It's got just the right amount of depth and spiciness.Highly recommend for the 감자탕 and 설렁탕. The 육개장 was too spicy and the meat inside was very tough, would not recommend. The kimchi was also really good with the 설렁탕! Ambiance is pretty simple, no frill location for a nice hearty meal, service is a bit slow.“
“One of my favorite places to go to when craving korean bbq! The food here is absolutely delicious and the server is extremely friendly and kind! The restaurant itself is also clean as well! I highly recommend this place and anyone should come and eat here sometime :)“
“Was looking for a sundae soup place around. Actually already locked on google review of the menu but I missed that they had Soondae Guk Bap.It was because someone else put a google review with the photo of that, I found that they had it here and they also left a good review about this dish. And it turned out to be tasty. Buts it's soondae with other inner organs, so depends if one prefers inner organs, I tend to like pork Meat more“
“Unassuming place but a hidden ?.One of the best burgers I've had in vancouver with a slight crispy exterior patty but dripping with juices.Crunchy chicken burger was flavorful and moist. The bomb! Will be back next time I'm in van.“
“Came by for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the gamjatang, kalbitang, boneless Korean snowing cheese fried chicken, tteokbokki and everything was delicious. Huge portions as well, we definitely left with leftovers. Will come back if I'm in the area again.“
“Absolutely delicious buffet on Saturdays and Sundays. Nihari, Pulao rice, fries, fried chicken drumsticks, halwa, tea and fresh naan. Each and everything was served very fresh and hot. it is highly recommended to try out their buffet offerings over the weekends. Keep up the great work.“
“Been to many Korean restaurants. But one of the best places in surrey their food is fresh and well-priced,ths is one of the places where it is a real pleasure to tip ..and you feel good because of a wonderful experience.I really recoment this “
“The food was so good! My favourite place to get cold noodles. Many things on the menu and all the things we tried were delicious. Owners were so nice, it seemed there were only 2 people working though so at busy hours it may take a little longer to get your food. Not a big issue, the food was top tier so we didn't mind. I'm introducing my friends to Korean food through this restaurant!“
“The gimbap, bibimbap, and soondae are my faves here! The owner/staff are extremely friendly and the restaurant is clean. I would even say the gimbap here is better than the ones you can get in Korea. They’re loaded with healthy ingredients with minimal rice and well seasoned. Highly recommended!“
“Food was good, nothing too crazy, they could have a larger variety of sauces to go with the grilled meat. They were quite fast for changing out the grill which was nice. The ventilation in our room was kinda slow, it got Smokey fast. Parking is tight/packed too.“
“The food was so good, we ordered Sooda spicy pork. It was a big portion enough for two ppl. You don’t need to order extra rice for that. I didn’t know it. We ordered extra kimchi fried rice. We needed to pack it togo. Two servers did very great jobs. They came to fill my water glass more than three times plus they helped us to mix rice in the pan. I would recommend this place for my friends.“
“Great place to order chicken from! I have been a loyal customer here for 2 years now, i have been ordering from uber eats. This is the best location so far!!! Never gonna cheat on this location anymore. Best chicken, big servings, always always fresh and hot food. Zero complaints!! 2 servings of boneless chicken feeds my family of 6! Highly recommend. Don’t order from other locations, only this!!!“
“The food is excellent and you can order refills for the side dishes . But keep in mind that the place is small so you might have to wait for a while but it won’t usually take too long. Most of the food is spicy so if you don’t prefer spicy food then you might have to tell them to make the food without the spicy stuff.“
“The taste was delicious, but the owner's hospitality and service didn't even deserve 5 stars...I was waiting in the car to pick it up, and I was so touched that they even brought the car to me.Chicken is here now~ ^^I took a picture because it was so quick ㅠㅠ“
“We had a great last-minute dinner party at home, and it turned out AWESOME! We had the quests who never tried Korean food before, and I thought it would be a good idea to serve some appetizers for Korean food and decided to order dishes from here.First up, the fried chicken with soy honey glazed, It was tangy, sweet, and packed flavors. It was the crowd's pleasure! ?Kimbob - Ordered 3 flavors ( Beef, veggies, and spicy pork). They are all delicious, but my favorite kimbob was spicy pork. You should give it a try. ?Then came the galbi ( braised short beef rib) tender slices of marinated beef short rib that were so juicy. ?And let's not forget about the bulgogi (Marinated with Korean BBQ sauce with thinly sliced beef) - I ordered them ready to cook package so it was nice to serve our guests the hot meat on the spot. Too bad that I don’t have pictures of bulgogi, but They are yummy with rice and kimchi ( kimchi and rice come with a braised short beef ribs dish). The owner also sent us some veggies to stir-fry with the meat as well.If you're in the mood for a taste of Korean foods or something different for your gathering or party, I would recommend this place. ??“
“I wish I took pictures but I was too busy devouring the chicken! Not only were the visuals amazing but the taste was even better!Ordered both boneless and bone-in half-half were just delicious! Probably one of the biggest chicken legs I have seen so far in Surrey! I would highly recommend!“
“You can't even comprehend how amazing this food is, seriously juicy amazing chicken with the most crispy crust on the outside. The staffer are always so friendly, one mistake I should have gotten the cilantro spicy sauce to dip this in because I had it last time and it was absolutely mind blowingly delicious!!! ?? The prices are unbelievably reasonable for how amazing their food/chicken is. I'm sad that they're not open on Wednesdays/ chicken wing Wednesdays here would be my all-time favorite go-to!“
“It is a very diverse Korean restaurant. There are not many people during dinner time, so I didn’t make a special reservation in advance. The prices are generally acceptable and don't feel particularly expensive. The food tastes average, not very delicious, but just like Korean food. The size of the army pot is smaller than expected, so those who order it should pay attention~ The white rice is quite delicious~ It goes well with rice cakes or other dishes.Parking: The neighborhood is a residential area, so you can find quite a few parking spaces on the roadside~“
“I ate it at my home and the pork cutlet was really delicious... I really recommend it.Buljokbal (buljokbal) is also spicy, but the taste really keeps you reaching for it..You won't regret going to a Korean restaurant! I definitely intend to visit again.“
“The food is very close to 'home made' and natural. Tried the pancakes that were thick and kinda on the firm side which tells me it's likely better ingredients used. Options were plenty with their ability to slightly customize their dishes within reason to meet my dietary specifics. Very nice staff but a bit pushy for a Sunday morning where it wasn't packed. Felt a bit rushed. Ambiance was alright but it was the food I went for and I was not disappointed. Kids loved it. Wife liked it. There's more parking at the back.“
“In short, it could be seen as a clean seafood Korean restaurant. The atmosphere is so clean and spicy that it makes you want to drink soju even during the day. It is not a residential area or a shopping mall, so it is quiet during the day but is expected to be very crowded in the evening. Since they are open until 11 o'clock, most sales seem to be made at night.“
“I can't give them anything less than 5, just because of how friendly the staff are and how incredibly delicious the chicken was. The radish was also absolutely amazing as well.Good job to the people back in the kitchen. The only downside was that they did not put any fork, joystick or napkins in the bag, even tho it was take out. C'mone guys, how much are you saving with doing this?“
“Wow! The chicken was amazing. We ordered the soy garlic chicken. It was a very large portion. This can feed 4 people. We also order the cheese booldak, this dish had a nice flavor, not to overpowering. The service was good. Definitely coming back for more. Thanks!“
“El Cartel catered my daughter’s graduation party at my house. They brought their food truck, cooked everything made to order. The food was delicious! The choices were amazing and RJ was kind enough to accommodate dietary restrictions such as celiac and halal. Many thanks to you! Definitely will be hiring you again!“
“The owner is very friendly and explains very well the different options. Food is tasty but the serving amount could be bigger. Notice that if you're not used to spicy(hot) food even the food that the owner claims is not spicy at all will be very spicy for you.“
“Stopped by for a late lunch and it wasn't very busy on the weekend. We were seated promptly at a table. The restaurant is quite large and I can see it being good for large groups. We tried the gogi kalgooksu and sogogi dolsot bibimbap. The banchan was kimchi radish, kimchi, and beansprouts. The gogi kalguksu was tasty. The broth was flavourful and the portion was pretty good, with plenty of veggies and beef. The sogogi dolsot bibimbap had lots of veggies and beef as well. The bowl could have been hotter to crisp up the rice. There were some crispy bits on the very bottom, but I think there could have been more. Overall, it was a satisfying meal and service was good. Food came out fast. If I'm in the area, I would come back to try other items.“
“The food is great, I ordered half Yahngyeom and half original and the texture and sauce was better than chico chicken in my opinion, the price was more reasonable than other places.I would suggest they turn the volume down on the music or change it to something more jazzy,Other than that the establishment is better than its ever been before, (ref pictures & vid),I did take out but would not mind dine in next visit. Cheers to the new owners!“
“Didn’t take pictures of the food but the quality was really good. Came in not expecting much but probably the best tonkatsu place around. The quantity and quality were great. Price is a bit higher than I’d like but no complaints paying for the better quality. The batter isn’t too thick, also really well balanced with the quantity. They have an offer of unlimited rice, soup, and salad. But the quantity they give makes you not have to rely on the fillers. The salad is very finely chopped which is great but the miso soup was a bit too watered down but not bad. This will be my go to place for tonkatsu going forward ??“
“Portions are insane, this was a delightful little Korean restaurant to chance upon while in Coquitlam, ordered black bean noodle with the $5 size up and got a massive bowl of black bean noodles for $17 total. Japchae was also quite good, they did not skimp out on ingredients. Will be back with a larger appetite and more friends!“
“It's okay and interesting. The sauce is creamy and rich, but the tappoki in carbonara is quite bland. The chicken is really good! It's juicy, well-battered, and tender. However, I found it unpleasant that the server asked for payment TOO EARLY because I was trying to enjoy my meal and chatting with a friend. The meal was just served about 8 minutes and we haven't finished it yet.“
“Don't let the exterior fool you, this is a gem of a hole in the wall. The ramen was delicious and well spiced--the flavour and umami of it is great! The chasu and smoked pork are so tender and absolutely fantastic, the pork really does just melt in your mouth. I think the only thing I'd like, is if they were part of a delivery service.“
“The only issue was that the server wasn’t speaking English very well so they got my order wrong but they were really nice about it and changed it for me. The food was very fresh and delicious. It’s a little over priced compared to other Korean restaurants but very good quality.“
“This is the best soybean paste restaurant of my life. I didn't know the difference between Jjajangmyeon and Ganjjajangmyeon... but my eyes lit up after eating Louran's Ganjjajangmyeon. I mixed the remaining seasoning with rice and ate it. That doesn't mean the amount is small. I felt like I was wasting the remaining seasoning, so I mixed it with rice and ate it all, even though I was full. ? I ordered Kkanpunggi and Sweet and Sour Pork because I thought they were too common. The Rajogi was crispy and delicious! I heard a lot about this place from my friends as a good restaurant, but it was even more delicious than I expected. And friendly staff! It's best. While paying, he even recommended that I must try the shrimp dish, chadol jjamppong, and Sichuan jjajang next time! So, I will definitely try the menu you recommended on my next visit. ? Luran!! Highly recommended!“
“Excellent location to grab some delicious Korean-style fried chicken for take-out. The seasoning and texture for the original flavor are just right, tender meat inside and not overly crunchy skin outside. Recommended to call and order ahead of time to avoid waiting for up to 20 minutes in your car.“
“The quality of their meat compared to other Korean bbq in town. Tender without tendons or any chewing bits beautiful marbling of the beef. It’s on a different level, as if comparinf toyota to mercedes. Amazing food. Amazing staff amazing price.“
“For grilled chicken, we ordered Secret BBQ, Honey Butter Garlic Fries and Roseto! They also added rice cakes and ramen to the roasted chicken! It’s really delicious! The roasted chicken is so delicious and juicy! The cheese flavor of Rosetto is really strong! However, I felt a little tired towards the end of the meal. There was no waiter to be found throughout the entire journey, and the service was average. The price is really super cheap! Less than 20 before tip!“
“Not bad at all. In the era of fewer Korean pork cuttlet restaurants, Daeji was only one option to try Korean cuttlet with the various menus. But there are many Japanese style Korean cutlet restaurants in the lower main land currently. Daeji menus are more friendly to Korean abput 40 to 50 ages.I go to the fancy Jap-Kor style cuttlet restaurant, too, but I recommend Daeji if you try the old school with a pork cuttlet with thick gravy sauce instead of fruit based gravy sauce. Also, I like the Kimchi fried rice with a good portion.“
“Tried this late-night Korean spot. Super chill vibes, cozy setup. The boss is hustling, and you can feel the good vibes.Food? Top-notch Korean goodness. Perfect for those late-night munchies. Totally recommend it for a laid-back, tasty time. ??“
“I found out about the place from a friend. We came as a group and we are truly happy with the food. They are tasty and the price is pretty decent and affordable. You will have a variety of Korean food choices. We were welcomed the moment we entered and the persons who served us were also very accommodating. We didn’t really wait long and the wait is really worth it. It is a best place to hang out with friends, colleagues and family to share sumptuous food. Highly recommended to those enjoy eating and hang out together. Surely will come back here and bring friends.“
“We like this restaurant, the menu is not too big but the food quality is good. We love the grilled pork belly with garlic. The cold noodles were good as well. The restaurant is small, and the service is decent. Nothing to complain about but the small parking “
“As an absolute food crazed individual I have to say Chef Han's restaurant Kosoo + Raw Bar is one of my favourite restaurants, here and abroad, so far. The chef was away for a while, on his return we visited and it was brilliant as usual. I have never been disappointed only always impressed beyond my expectations. Welcome back Chef Han!“
“Had a late lunch after trip to Fort Langley… spicy seafood noodle soup was great and the black bean cold noodle was deliciously smooth. The fried pork was crispy and well-done!!Kid-friendliness: There were families with younger children there and the restaurant was great for them, as well!!“
“This is a very good sushi place. One of the advantages it has for me is that it's open later than the other places so you can actually get sushi after 9:00 p.m. well all the sushi is very good and quite fresh. They have a huge selection of rolls. I highly recommend the grouse mountain roll. I also really liked the tuna tataki “
“I’ve come here a lot! I always order tteokbokki and kimbab! I love that you get a teapot of soup when you first enter and that you can pick the spicy level of the tteokbokki. It’s the best tteokbokki in ktown in my opinion and I have tried it at many locations in the area! It is also the best value!“
“It's so delicious~But if you want to order, you have to wait a long time, and if you forget something and they don't give it to you, you have to wait a long time again. The space between tables was too narrow to allow conversation.“
“I use the seasoned chicken here because it is delicious. The staff are also friendly. Every time I order fried food, it tastes dry, so I tried it with green onion chicken this time and it was delicious.Parking: The parking lot isn't particularly crowded unless it's lunchtime on a weekday. Because it is a place where shops are gathered, there are plenty of parking spaces.“
“Cool tiny little shop. Prices at a glance seem quite expensive but the portions seem to match them. Tastes is great but nothing special, and the decorations in general contain a flare of old Korean restaurants. It's always busy so make sure to call ahead or prepare to wait 30+ minutes“
“My girlfriend loves kimchi dumplings, and she really likes the kimchi dumplings here.[ I only like meat dumplings, but meat dumplings are ‘average’ to me. (Tastes vary from person to person, so don't trust my taste.)]My girlfriend has the happiest face in the world when she eats the kimchi dumplings here.If you are a foreigner who is interested in Korean culture and want to try Korean kimchi dumplings, I personally recommend them. Also, if you order over the phone, they will be very accommodating.Parking: This place is located in Koreatown.During busy times, parking is difficult (1130-1500), but at other times, parking is easy.Excluding weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)!!“
“If I'm rating just the food, I would give it a 5 star! It's great for take out. Fried chicken is juicy and the flavours are unique and tasty. I actually think they've catered the restaurant more for take out anyways. They have seating but not really an atmosphere you want to eat in unless you have to. Very basic space without any decor really.Wish they had condiments and utensils readily available instead of having to ask every time.“
“I love their Golden Crispy Chicken. The chicken pieces are deepfried crispy and seasoned well; it doesn't smell like other big franchise and the batter is at perfect crispy level(not soggy nor not super hard to bite on.) The batter and deepfried skins are crispy and not so oily. Their Golden Crispy Chicken and Soy Garlic are my favorite.Only downside is they open at noon which is a bit too rush for me to make it back to my lunch time. I wish they could open like other restaurants ilke 11:30am.“
