“Great experience last night. The staff are very friendly and the service was super quick. The blonde woman who greeted us at the door was very welcoming and super bubbly. She was even busy helping the other staff. Just great vibes. Will definitely be back again every time we visit “
“Absolutely amazing spot! If you’re looking for a stand alone Irish pub this is the place. All the food is next level, my personal favourite is the stacked corned beef. They have a proper selection of whiskey that is sure to satisfy and of course a great line up of beers.“
“We had a fun time here, their cocktails were on point, service was fantastic, food was all perfectly cooked, however we had asked for dairy free food and although they took the cheese off the dishes, they still seemed to cook them in butter, so aside from having a reaction to that which ruined the night, everything else was great.“
“I've been to this location a lot for dine in and take out and the food and service has always been great! Just wanted to shout out Dan for making the trip over to drop off a missing item in my to-go order and for generally being so hospitable on all of our visits!“
“A great bar, attached to the St Regis Hotel on Dunsmuir Street;food is good and varied,as is the beer.A nice cosy atmosphere, with subdued lighting to add to the ambiance, they show sports on a couple of large screen tv’s,oh,and they have a happy hour, enjoy!“
“I ordered the pooled pork platter and chicken wings. The "platter" was basically a cup of bbq sauce with a little pork. The chicken wings were probably from a chicken stroke by famine, completely dry. Too expensive for the portions. Would not recommend....“
“I have been looking for a place where there is live Rock music for a long time and I always see this pub, I had never been and yesterday was my first time. I had an incredible time, I highly recommend the classic Mojitos, the beer at its peak and the extraordinary wings. It is worth mentioning that the waiter Andres treated us wonderfully and recommended just what we needed. Very happy to have shared another experience....Thank you“
“Had the salad Nicoise, which was seared tuna on a bed of greens with potatoes, olives, radishes, capers and a house-made dressing. It was good! My companion had the jambalaya, which was very spicy, requiring a side of naan to balance the spice, (served with butter). The service was prompt and good, even working around the break of our main server, there was always someone to help us. Love the atmosphere of the old station, vaulted ceiling and huge windows, but the noise level (music, other diners) was a bit loud for us. Still, for train-station dining, I was pleasantly surprised! I would definitely go back.Dietary restrictions: I am gluten intolerant and it was easy to find an option. I also noted many vegetarian dishes.“
“The Broadway location is more cozy and intimate compared to the Waterfront location but for a Friday night you would think their service would be better. The food was decent but nothing special. The sweet cauliflower was pretty good but the calamari was tough and chewy. Their drinks are usually pretty good though relatively expensive but I would give this place another try.“
“Nice vibe. Sat at the bar and played a couple games of crib while enjoying the food, bevies and tunes. Tyler behind the bar provided great service and was a pleasure to chat with. Lighting was great making for a warm environment. Definitely recommend Ellis for an enjoyable night out.“
“We only went here for drinks, but the food looked great. Cool concept where they have half the store space set up as a resto bar. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was slow and quiet. It seems like a place to go if you are looking for a quiet meal or drink.“
“I went here with a friend to watch The Superbowl, we took the last two spots which the staff helped us with as soon as we walked through the door. It's a small space which adds to the atmosphere, good variety of beers and traditional Canadian pub food. Plenty of TVs for watching sport and the service was attentive, friendly and fast.“
“It was a lively and nice café. Located on commercial Drive. We chose this café because it had the highest rating on Google maps. We were happy with our choice. We ordered the fries and lemon pepper, chicken wings. I enjoyed sitting on the wooden chairs, and looking at the street and people sitting there. The bathroom was also clean. The service could be faster but the waitress was friendly.“
“A group of us went for the Superbowl last night and had a great night! Megan (not sure of correct spelling sorry lol), was our server and she was the best! So fast with making sure we all had drinks, right there as soon as we needed something, and told us about the auto gratuity because of the size of our group. The bartender was also amazing ? Thanks guys for a great night and tasty food!“
“The restaurant is set in the Westin Hotel. Decor feels a little bit like a function room. Our server was very good and food came out reasonably quick. Had the chicken chowder which was ok. Cajun shrimp and polenta and sticky toffee pudding were very good. Overall, very good value on the Dine out Vancouver deal.“
“Their pizzas are seriously unlike anything I've ever tasted before. They're hands down the best in town, with such a light and easy-to-eat crust and toppings that won't leave you feeling overly stuffed, even after polishing half-off pie.“
“Our lovely waitress, Emily, is what dreams are made of and made our girls night out absolutely perfect. Our drinks came at a good pace, she was attentive without being obtrusive and made sure our food was really tasty! (Cauliflower bites for the win!) Great and chill place for drinks and good eats!“
“I was really impressed with the service! I reserved a table to celebrate a special occasion with some friends, and I swear it felt like every host stopped by to congratulate me. They were all very welcoming and even gave our table some free drinks. I would definitely recommend a night here to celebrate birthdays/“
“I like this place. I wouldn't go here as a night out, but at the right times, it's a chill hang. The atmosphere varies wildly depending on the day. On some nights it's louder and is in line with what you'd expect a university bar to be like, and sometimes it's very relaxed, and you can even find some people using it as a study spot (not something I would consider or really recommend, but you do you as long as it's not busy and no one needs the table). Sometimes it's somewhere in between or a weird mix of both. It's not always predictable, but I've found that to hit the quieter days that I prefer, early evening during exam season at school is best, and summer in general are chiller than the main academic year. The food is good, often surprisingly good. The menu items are well thought-out and tasty, and nicely presented. It's not a veg-centric establishment but there's lots of choice for vegans! Off the current menu, I've had the Power Punch Salad, the Vegan Pulled Jackfruit, the Vegan Burger, Vegan Chick'n Caesar Wrap, and the Tempeh Teriyaki. I wasn't particularly impressed by the Caesar wrap - it wasn't awful, I just didn't feel like it was worth $19.5, but everything else was a delight. I'm glad their vegan burger is a (seemingly) housemade, minimally processed black bean patty instead of beyond meat or similar! I usually won't order a salad as my meal, but the Power Punch is substantial! The side salad that comes with the sandwich orders is actually pretty nice too. They make good cocktails and have a long list of local draft beers on tap which I haven't really had a chance to dip into, but I got the "Green Bird" for fun on St. Patrick's Day, which is just a version of their house "T-Bird" lager that's been coloured green (maybe naturally, judging by the grassy notes I got from it, but I don't know for sure). It was actually a good lager though!Sometimes the staff is nice enough, sometimes I get the vibe that they're too cool to be serving me or something, but because the only interactions you have with them are when you order and pay at the bar and when they bring your food out, an unenthusiastic bartender doesn't ruin the whole experience. Because of this service style, you can expect to be in and out of here faster than you would at a full table service restaurant, but it's not fast food, so dishes still take as much time to prep as they would at a "regular" sit-down place. It's also pricier than typical counter service food, but very reasonably priced compared to off-campus restaurants that serve food of this quality, and there's no obligation to tip 20%. To me, the service model, fair prices, and high quality are a combination of the best elements of counter service and full service.“
“Excellent place to have a great time and play darts. This pub did offer three (3) sets of darts to use in a glass near the boards. Staff were very friendly and made our experience a great time. We will return to this pub as it is one of the best in Richmond B.C!!!“
