Arrived late in Richmond and stopped for a meal as we were driving right past it. You need to know to what to expect. The place is huge with multiple screens showing sport, which no one is actually watching, so it's noisy. We had three different servers so were never quite sure who was looking after our table; that wasn't a mistake, they each seemed to have a different function but we couldn't figure out what. I had a glass of good Australian Rascal white wine and a 6oz sirloin steak. The service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. The steak was very good served with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Earls is always enjoyable.
Unfortunately the noise level in this restaurant makes it too difficult to have a conversation which is one of the reasons people go to restaurants. Food and service are very important as well, of course, but if you can’t easily talk to the person you are with it makes the experience much less enjoyable.
