“Although I am not exactly the target audience for an English Tea room, I have to say that Butchart far exceeded any expectations! Although we have been to the Gardens many times over the last 4 decades, this is the first time that my wife suggested that we take “High Tea” before our stroll through the amazing gardens... And of course it proved to be a wonderful idea as I relished every bite and sip (we also had the 3-glass “taster” which paired with the food nicely)... I will absolutely be taking tea on our next visit!“

“I absolutely adore this tea room! I grew up in Victoria, but now I live in Oregon. I bring my friends to Victoria to visit all the time, and we always make sure to come to the White Heather Tea Room! The staff are kind, the food is delicious, and the Mad Hatter tea is phenomenal. You won’t be disappointed!“

“Pros: Delicious scones and good breakfast items. Would recommend the ranchero wrap and the white chocolate scone. Spacious, seats have backs, and big tables. Great coffee nice patio out back and cool atmosphere.Cons: Not the cleanest place I’ve been in. Lots of crumbs on the tables and rings on my coffee cup. Not a huge deal, but still.Overall: I go at least once a week because it’s a dimly lite place that’s nice to sit and have coffee-scone meditation time early in the morning. The place is always pack and by 9-10 these a line to the door. That speaks for itself. Would recommend a visit if you haven’t had the pleasure. Would also recommend the staff give the tables a wipe.“

“Drove from Langford to try the place. Website said it was open… it wasn’t.Edit**: I gave a harsh review a couple of months ago due to the restaurant not being open. But, that wasn’t fair. I went back yesterday and the churro’s were fantastic- hot and fresh. Surprisingly, for Victoria- affordable. Definitely would recommend!“

“Came here for lunch arriving right around 12:30. It was busy, but I was sat promptly. I had the Sourdough Tartine - which was delicious. The eggs were poached to perfection, while the romanseco sauce was the star of the show. I washed it down with the homemade kombucha. For the quality of product the price seems reasonable. The servers were clearly amidst their lunch rush but were still personable. Would recommend :)“

“Pros: Awesome food that includes doughnuts to actually breakfast and sandwiches, but still a cafe format. Patio and location are both on point. Friendly, attentive staff. Chairs with backsCons: A bit pricey. Seating is better than 90% of the cafes in the downtown but it’s not a spot to post up, if you feel my meaning.Overall: I’m surveying all the cafes in the downtown and this is my favorite spot so far. Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere on the patio. Would absolutely recommend.“

“This deli has many Mediterranean items for sale which takes up most of the store. There’s a few tables in the middle of the store for people who want to sit and eat. And there is a big kitchen with display counters that are refrigerated for all the prepared foods that are made here. My favourites are spanakopita, and a Greek dessert bougatsa. Phyllo pastry wrapped around an inner filling of luscious not too sweet custard. I’ve never tried it, but I hear good things about their pizza. ? in fact, I think I go back today and try it.They also have lots of staff in the kitchen to serve you. Pictures next time.“

“Up with if not the single best latte you can get in town. An incredibly peaceful place that’s sometimes too quiet for boisterous chatter, but a great place to work or journal. A big selling point for me is that they carry Jagasilk teas and know how to prepare them.“
“Gigi's is a rad local cafe with freshly made baked goods (I get a muffin every time) and delightful coffee. They support the local arts by showcasing local artist's physical talent (trinkets, mugs, paintings) and also through hosting open mics and poetry/writers nights. They have a live musician play most Sundays for a few hours and the owner, Gino, sings some sweet Italian tunes at the open mics. So... yeah Gigi's has been a glorious addition to the Quadra Village, buy stuff there“

“Nice Surprise: the coffee was perfect ( good flavour but excessively thick), their muffin was fresh and delicious and the couple working there were very pleasant. They offered me butter for the muffin and it was warmed up. Perfect coffee spot.Too bad I walked past it many times and never tried their stuff. Muffins, scones, Nanaimo bars, cookies, bagels, sandwiches, etc all looked fresh and tasty.“
“Stumbled across this very cute coffee shop down some stairs and it was amazing! George was a super friendly owner and very passionate about the coffee and it has several different specialty beans to try. The atmosphere was unique and very calming and I also loved that there were unique pastries like a matcha pineapple bun. It’s pretty newly opened so definitely worth a visit!“

“This is the go-to spot for your coffee's. They have a wide variety of options, from muffins, sweets, sandwiches, breakfast items, and lunch options. There is also a section of the store front in Emporium that sells a variety of locally made items. I go to the Emporium at least 2 to 3 times a week. The staff is friendly and quick. I have never waited too long for my coffees. As long as I'm working close to the Emporium I will be going there for my coffee breaks regularly.“

“One of the few places that's open early so I can grab some breakfast & a latte on my way to work. I love the egg bites. Also one of the few places that offer their matcha latte with or without sweetener (and when you do get it sweetened it's the perfect amount of honey & not too sweet).Baked goods are best with a coffee to balance out the sugary goodness - great spot for a break.Have also picked up whole roasted beans for home use in my French press & they're fantastic!“
“Nothing but 5 star. Lots of selection of foods pastries loaf slices cakes sandwiches and a selection of coffees and teas. Wonderful seating area and some seating outside on the main Street. Also a shop to purchase gift baskets and loose leaf teas. All in all a great addition to your day. Include it in your visit..“

“An absolute gem. This sandwich shop, run by one incredible woman, is a fresh and delicious stop. We had ten people from our soccer team show up, as we were playing in the area (Hey Elizabeth, PCOV won the final!) and got a fresh meal before our game. We didn't plan on all showing up to the same cafe but as skill presented, Elizabeth prepared our drinks and then our sandwiches with no stress and plenty of happy whistles and singing from the kitchen. We were patient but didn't wait long before eating. My "toastie" was a perfectly panini press-toasted bread with fresh spinach, Swiss, tomato, and mayo. It was perfect. My apple cider was "200 degrees" and had the best steamy aroma. I also grabbed a pecan tartlet and a tasty oat bar. I hope to be back again one day ❤️Wheelchair accessibility: All on one floor! Spacious washroom and dynamic seating area (huge patio, too).“

“Came here for a second time to get “the Canadian” breakfast sandwich and a “chicken pesto” panini. Then a vanilla late and the handsome man behind the counter recommended me the cortado, which was absolutely awesome. All around a great place, one of the best cafes in Victoria.“

“Super cute family business with friendly service. Although the coffee isn't the best, the breakfast bagels for around 7 CAD are amazing and the homemade banana bread aswell. Everything is very decently priced and tastes amazing. Perfect place for an affordable and quick breakfast! Not the most striking place frome the outside, but definitely more than worth the price!!!“

“I had high hopes for getting my breakfast sandwich fix at Rise and Grind Coffee after researching different breakfast spots in downtown Victoria and reading their reviews. Rise and Grind Coffee definitely hit the spot! I ordered the BLAST and it was very satisfying! The bacon was crispy, the avocado was fresh and creamy, it was nice and saucy without the bread getting soggy, and I felt full from the sandwich. I replaced the multi-grain bread with sourdough bread. The sourdough bread was not what I was expecting as it was soft. I ordered my sandwich "to go", and they make it easy to eat on the go, which I really appreciate. It was wrapped in an aluminum foil pouch and paper, which made it easy to consume the sandwich without any mess on the go. I will definitely be back!“

“Nice little spot in West Bay. They have limited seating inside and a nice little patio outside. No milk products here, so if you are looking for a latte, it's almond, oat, or soy. The coffee is great, and they have some interesting brews, including Chaga and Lion's Mane. If you are in the area or walking on the Songhees Walkway it's a good spot to stop.“
“Koffi serves some of the best soup and delicious bread that I’ve ever eaten. And I should know, because I had some at lunch today. “Can't elaborate on service because we skipped the dishes to our hotel room after a day surgery at RJH. The food we ordered was packaged well, and absolutely delicious. Next opportunity we have we will attempt to dine in, but if we can't this will definitely be on our list of order again. Had the quesadilla, a turkey bacon sandwich, a couple iced coffees (only critique would be no request option for sugar on the iced coffee menu but we had some in the room so not a huge deal) and we also got the loaded big salad. It was all very fresh and super tasty.“

“This Starbucks, in particular the drive through as I never go inside, consistently has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. Kind, friendly, empathetic and skilled at their job workers. I often refer with my other business owner friends to "Starbucks their training model" with their employees to attempt to have workers that effective. Kudos to the hiring manager and training manager.“
