I personally didn't have the best experience.I'm definitely biased against Italian food, not having had any great experiences so far, but I was very disappointed with Bacaro for the price.I ordered the Venison Ragu, which wasn't bad, but didn't taste amazing I think. We actually waited closer to an hour for our food, which we weren't really expecting nor were we told about. The pasta was a little more tough than I anticipated and there was some curly wire/metal thing in my food....read full review
The fresh / homemade pasta is fantastic but overall the flavours are lacking and dishes are generally underwhelming. Would stick to ask for Luigi or Di Beppe. Also I find restaurants attached to hotels tend to lack atmosphere. Wouldn’t go back personally. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable though.

Average italian restaurant. I would even say your typical hotel restaurant- ok food and ok service but nothing special. I liked their duck ragu pasta. All other pastas we tried were just ok. Cheese plate is below average. Also, they do not have any beers on draft. Not really sure how is it possible for a restaurant in Vancouver to have at least few draft beers to pick from.
