“My experience at Savio Volpe was amazing! I have always wanted to try this restaurant ever since i’ve heard of it few yrs ago but unfortunately couldnt get in coz it’s hard to make a reservation. Glad i was able to get in this time. Me, my husband, my mom and in laws came over to celebrate our bday at this restaurant and it really surpassed our expectations. Our fave were the maple farm half chicken, primrose pork belly with scallops and green apple puree, tiramisu and amaretto bday ice cream! It was def chef’s kiss! Shout out to Steve for constantly checking on us making sure we were ok and we were enjoying our meal. We would love to go back again sometime in the future.“

“Very small and intimate restaurant. The space bit tight and tables small, but it’s coherent with the intimate feel of the restaurant. The location is a bit far from the touristy area and close to the less desirable East Hastings are, but otherwise not feeling unsafe. The food was on point, from the bread to the selection pasta, this restaurant definitely filled a hole when it comes to pasta craving. Definitely suitable for dates and casual dining.“

“Came here for my friends 27th and we had a great time. They have an excellent selection of cocktails and mock-tails. The Burrata & Focaccia was DELISH. We did family style and ordered Caesar Salad, Rigatoni alla Vodka and Linguini ai Gamberi (which had a red sauce). With five girls we were full from those dishes. They also have deep dish pizza here which I’ll have to try next time. The best part by far was the Rigatoni alla Vodka. I could keep eating that everyday until I die. The blood orange mule was a great mock tail.“

We arrived at about 4:30 on a Saturday and were fourth in line for the second seating at 7pm, which was what we were expecting. Throw in a very chill ambiance and the complimentary bread and tomato dip {bread is hit or miss, ranging from soft to rock hard}, and you've got a more than viable option for dinner.They are smart enough not to overburden themselves with a 10 page menu, instead keeping it to a manageable one pager. Consequently, our food came out relatively quickly.It was just as delicious as I had remembered, and my order was actually a dish off their specialty menu, a rotating side piece to their main menu.My only complaint is that they did not offer a lot of the usual cocktails you would see at most restaurants like a Mule or Long Island Iced Tea.Regardless, I would definitely go back again and urge you to try the place out if you haven't already.“

“Found this little place while my husband and I were walking up Commercial Drive. All I have to say is " WoW! ". The pizzas were so amazing, light crust, non greasy and full of fresh toppings. They do their own seasoning and it certainly tastes like home cooking. My husband tried out the stromboli and he was so in love with it, said it was the best handheld item he ever had and it's so true. This shop is old school, Ma and Pa pizza place so people please support them. They aren't a franchise and certainly don't taste like one. 100% approved for quality, service. The tomato sauce is slightly flavorless (almost like plain crushed tomatoes!) we got lucky we had a nice waiter because the staff were somewhat hit or miss (we encountered a couple which not only lacked the professionalism required of their role, but also acted somewhat condescending towards guests. We were also offered the burrata salad which was on special but the pesto croutons were soggy and disappointing. Overall, it was somewhat worth the long line up.“

“I'm surprised to see this hidden gem on the corner of the street. I got the soup and focacia combo for 9 dollars. The soup was good but a bit too sour for me. Maybe if they added a drop of yogurt in the middle, it would be perfect. The bread itself is delicious. It is soft, spongy, and just the right amount of cheese without it being too "greasy."
