It was experience to enjoy our first Omakase at Tekkaba in Vancouver. Crossing the border to enjoy the Canadian discount a little bit helped but Tom, the owner with his attention to detail, customer centric mindset and relaxed setting gave us the ability to converse with a man that has spent countless years crafting a great food journey through his dishes. Wife and I went on a date back in February. Looking for a reasonable omakase experience. Found this. Was pleasantly surprised. We did the Dinner Omakase @$78/person. The set menu varies. Chef walks you through the courses and provide information on how best to enjoy the dish.I know there are a lot of Michelin Star and Michelin recommended omakase out there, but having the experience without breaking the bank is good enough for me.Make a reservation, there’s no walk-ins here....read full review

My partner brought me here for my bday surprise and it was a beautiful surprise! We had the omakaze experience with the owner and chef Tom and I believe his wife. He was very sweet and so incredibly passionate about his creations. Every sauce, dish, is all his own creation and hand made from scratch. I also appreciate an introduction to every dish. Every dish was incredible and service was top notch. Highly recommend coming here for an omakaze experience with Tom.
