“This is our must go to restaurant when we visit Victoria via boat for 30 years. First-year there I ordered the BlackBerry halibut and every year since then I order it and it's still my favorite cooked perfect, it's hard to make halibut moist like butter. My husband loves the olive tapenade they serve with their focaccia bread and will get an extra bowl to pour on his pasta. Best cheese cake too. Great culture, attention to detail, they even use copper water pitchers, the water is great.“

“I shall have to come back and try it again, it was very good. I had the Takoyaki Appetizer, deep fried octopus balls and for the main course Black Arashi Tan Tan - Black sesame base with pork belly, egg, spinach, bamboo shoots, crushed peanuts, chili oil, garlic, green onion and nori seaweed.“

If they rubbed it and braised the belly and cut proper thick slices for porkbelly it would do the oppisite and add to the dish 🥲.“

“My whisky club and I heard about Macaloney's around 2020 and sampled what was then not considered whisky, but 2 year old spirit. We were all intrigued, and are pleased to have enjoyed the whisky getting better and better each year.

Their core line is outstanding, but their unique casks (Sugar Kelp Infused Peat Project, Ex-Islay Cask, Moscatel Cask) are some of the best whiskies I've tasted.

“Today was our first meal at Dosa Paragon - we will be back for the best Indian food in Victoria. We are glad the server recommended Chicken 65 as it was truly delicious alongside the flavourful chutneys. The chef owner chatted with us about the traditional ways and ingredients they use. Highly recommend the food and friendly service.“

“2nd time at Emmalines and it did not disappoint. Arguably one of the best meals I’ve had in Victoria. Beats out Victoria’s top restaurants (…I’ll Terrazo, Marilena, Wind Cries Mary… etc). Everything tastes fresh, home cooked, and cooked with love. Shared the steak platter, side salad, and the delicious sticky toffee pudding while listening to live jazz music tonight. Although I didn't find the menu of food particularly appealing, your needs are probably different than mine, so have at it. The people working there were friendly and knew about their beers. Definitely stop in. If I find myself there again, I'll be trying the gin and whiskey.“

A diverse, spread on a theme, and I'm not a gravy fan and it too was delicious. The special steak had homemade dips and stuff, and the vege was it was incredibly complex and yummy looking. I WILL BE BACK!!! The baked goods looked fantastic, but I'm so full!“
