“We loveeeee coming here for the ambiance, the friendly staff, the delicious food. It’s all exceptional especially Dylan the server who is the coolest server ever. I made a joke to my partner about comparing him to servers in general because we’ve had such a bad go the last few years with customer service in Vancouver. It’s been really disappointing it almost makes you not want to go out anymore but thennnnn you come across a guy like a Dylan…who’s extremely passionate about his work and it’s noticeable and it changes your mind ! Way to go Dylan !!“
“It's a lovely place right across from the West Vancouver Yacht Club, and even has a bus stop right in front for convenience if you're taking transit to Horseshoe Bay. The decor and ambience is very charming too.We stopped in for happy hour and the calamari is one of the best I've ever tasted — it's soft and tender without being chewy or overdone. The owner and the head waitress were both very kind and attentive to our needs. We will be back for more!“
“Always good food excellent bar service I always have the lettuce wrapps, then a steak mr with prawns. Good, but not as good as the keg for the price. Let's face facts, nothing as good as the keg and there will never be a place.Parking: Big parking lot for many businesses in the area“
“Lovely night spent with family here. Amazing food and Amazing service by our lovely servers who made our evening bright with their positive attitude and politeness, Finney and Callum ?. P.S., the Nitro Espresso Martini is to die for. Highly recommend. “
“We tried the platter which was absolutely delicious. The taste of each item in the platter was different from the other and is above and beyond expectations. About biryani’s my personal favourite is vijaywada chicken biryani. The chicken is so well marinated and soft. And the biryani rice so amazing. I would love to visit this place again. Highly recommended for people who love biryani.“
“Absolutely love this place, came here under the recommendation of good people and was not disappointed, dead rabbit was present this evening and knocked it out of the ball park. I love their brand and the servers there are top notch ! I will be back !!“
“Loved this place! The food was super creative and exceptional. We had the tasting menu and it was a mix of flavors and textures. The service is amazing, perfect timing between courses and the environment is super cozy and inviting.I would definitely come again!“
“Such a cute spot for brunch! Lovely food and presentation. I started with a tequila Caesar and it was so good! I opted for the mushroom and loved it. The crispy oyster mushrooms were so tasty and I loved the sauces. Pricier than expected ($23) but the flavors were on point.“
“This was our first visit to the restaurant. It was a bit chilly, so didn't venture out to the patio so can't comment on that. Inside it was cozy, but the layout was a bit awkwardThe food has very good. We were especially impressed by the Mustard Fish Curry. We did make a mistake, however, in ordering our mo-mo's fried. Next time we'll have the steamed, which seem the best bet by all accounts. Our server was charming and polite. A fellow diner had experience trekking in Nepal and enjoyed a friendly interchange. We look forward to another visit soon.Parking: Davie on a Saturday night is crowded, but the adjacent parking lot had space. It turned out to be crazy expensive but a spot on the street on the next block was cheap - saved $20 or so!“
“Phenomenal food. We both got the chef’s tasting menu & everything was very well thought and executed to the littlest details. We were served by Max & Andrew, both of whom must be passionate about what they do from what we could tell. My guess is that if you’re into delicious food, you’ll find your way to Suyo’s door.“
“I ate at Zarak last night for the first time and I was blown away. Every Single Dish was spectacular!!! The portions were generous, the flavours are like nothing I have ever experienced and the cocktails... Run don't Walk to Zarak. Special mention: The service was great. All the staff were attentive, informative and happy. What a treat. I will be back!“
“The service here was outstanding. It isn’t a huge space but it’s comfy and inviting inside. The food was very good. Their menu is not overwhelming which helps with decision fatigue. We got shareable plates between four people. We ordered the mac and cheese, the bratwurst / lemon herb chicken sausage, fries and mashed potatoes. Portions are decent and definitely shareable. I also recommend their pineapple beer if it’s still available mmmm. Will be back.“
“Just home from our second visit to Addah. Discovered this hidden Gem (in the old Emerald Club space on Gore) through dine out in January. We enjoyed the food so much on the first visit, we had to come back for Valentine's Day. On both visits we had a 5-7 course set menu, and each dish brought bountiful flavour, unique tastes, spicyness and intrigue – we, as yet, have not had a plate we didn't enjoy immensely! Our server Rishna (means always mad - but she's a sweetheart), today, was amazing as well, telling us stories about her village and the food in Nepal. Oh, did I mention the cocktails and wine list, while short, are totally on point! We will be returning often!“
“We went for the set menu and it was amazing for the price. Every dish was spectacular and really showcased what Thai food is all about.Only criticism I have is that the food could have come a little slower so we can enjoy our wine and order more wine with our food. A wine accompaniment would have been nice.Favourite dishes were the oysters, shrimp toast, slow cooked duck curry, Sebastian’s bok choy.Kid-friendliness: There are high chairs. 2x“
“Amazing quality, presentation of food, prepared by the best talent in the city. Outstanding service with elegant drinks and cocktails complimentary to the food dish selection on the menu. staff is very friendly. hands down one of the best places in Vancouver to spend a evening.“
“I just want to give a huge shoutout to Avi - he was one of the staff members working a private event that I attended at Gastronomy tonight. I left the restaurant at 1:30am only to find myself locked out of the parking garage my car was in. I immediately went back to the restaurant which was closed and locked but he let me in while on the phone with the parking garage company. Once I was given a solution, Avi then escorted me to the parking garage and waited for me to be safe in my vehicle before walking back to the restaurant. He went above and beyond and I am super appreciative of him for that.Despite the restaurant’s location being a block away from East Hastings, it is definitely worth a visit. The service was the absolute best, the food was delicious and the atmosphere the private room provides is perfect for any party! I will definitely be back.“
“Came here on a rainy afternoon for a few pints. The vibe is really cool - kind of like a grandmas basement, but in a really neat way.Service was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.We just stopped in for a few beers, but could definitely come back to try the food.Great little Vancouver spot.“
“There was always a line, so I went around opening time. The staff, especially the staff at the bar, were very friendly! The food was delicious too! It's a little more expensive than other Vietnamese restaurants, but I think it's worth considering.“
“I can see why Michelin recognized this restaurant.Food:The food is incredible and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend the pakoras to start off. All the dishes we ordered were yummy and generous portions (we had lamb madras and butter chicken). There are lots of GF options on the menu too.Atmosphere:I liked that we could easily carry on a conversation—it’s not noisy. I thought our server and host were very friendly too.Location:Great location in Kits and very accessible by public transit.“
“It was my first time at this place, and of course I was very curious and with great expectations, as it is Michelin-starred restaurant. The food is definitely worth the rating: each course has a surprising taste, recipes are inventive and I can tell there is research on how to pair the ingredients, in order to create unexpected flavours. I was a bit disappointed by the ambience; it is really tiny, only high chairs are available, and you basically dine elbow-to-elbow with stranger: there would be nothing bad with that, if the price rate was not the same, if not higher, than other similarly rated and much more comfortable restaurants. Watching the cooks preparing the meal was fun, but, once at home, all my clothes smelled of deep fried oil (to be 100% honest, smell was absolutely not an issue during the meal, I only noticed it when going home). For these reasons, I cannot give 5 starts: I am very happy I tried it, but I am not sure I would go again for these prices, given the large choice of high level restaurants in Vancouver.“
“We were looking for something local to the area and found The Magnet based in its high reviews. There were no more available reservations so we went when they opened at 4pm and were able to get an open table. There was a Whitecaps game later that evening and the restaurant filled up fast. Got the Magnet Charcuterie Board and a sausage roll along with beers and a cider. Loved the sausage roll: it’s made to order and was very large. Not your usual deli sausage roll. The server was excellent: patient, knew the food, gave suggestions and did not hurry us. Atmosphere was comfortable and the food great. Prices were very good.“
“God atmosphere, servers were great took a bit of time getting a menu but was early on the evening maybe they were just getting warmed up. Food was extremely tasty and well prepared, everything looked fresh. Greek salad was lacking a little salt, commercial tomatoes just don't have the flavour it needs. Only other comment would be the lamb chops, at $10 a pop minimum $20, as tasty as they were that's just not reasonable price. They were good but not $20 good for 2 small chops“
“The food, specifically NewYork steak, lobster, baked potato and vegetables, were all amazing and the service was no different. I took my mom there for a nice fancy dinner and neither of us were disappointed at all. The server was very friendly and polite which made for a fantastic dining experience. Without a doubt we will be going back again. Oh ya, and the cheese bread there is a must try, absolutely delicious. Enjoy!“
“My brothers and sisters of the drinkhood, tasters of the spirits, keepers of the libations.. You must stop here and have a drink if you can do so without getting beaten by your spouse/guardian.It's just a small place, but the Old Fashioned we had is at the top of my list in terms of taste and uniqueness. It had notes of chocolate and citrus and was topped with a maraschino cherry that was sooo rich and tasty. The price was reasonable as well, and the staff was friendly. We are so delighted we decided to stop by here on our way to the market. I think everyone should.“
“I visited to decorate the last day of my trip, and it was a choice I had no regrets about. At the bar, I met the nationality-same-person, had fun and interesting conversations with the same guest. The quality of the cocktails was very good, and some gave me a new perspective. Both the classic and signature cocktails were delicious. If you come back to Vancouver one day, you will be the first to visit.“
“They treated us like royalty, when I made the reservation I had said it was my wife and I's wedding anniversary and as soon as we arrived they were on top of it, free champagne and very capable and intuitive service. Very friendly and outgoing but not smothering or annoying. They were there when needed but gone when they were not so that I could enjoy a private, romantic evening with the love of my life, the food was delicious and the drinks were perfect , all in all it was a wonderful and memorable night and I would recommend to anyone looking for a top of the line dining experience when it comes to not only grade "A" cuisine ,but service second to none that I have had the pleasure of receiving thus far! Thank you Glowbal ..... Mick & Darlene Ryan“
“We had a very nice night at Arike. The food was excellent and wines were perfectly paired. Don't sleep on this spot if you want excellent, unique food in Vancouver! The service was also good.Room for improvement:I think the atmosphere is lacking a bit. There is something cold and empty about it (both literally and metaphorically). A heavy velvet curtain to keep the heat in along the large window and a change of lighting may do this place wonders. Also the seating need to be a bit cozier.“
“We came here for my sister’s birthday and I’m so happy that we did, wonderful hospitality and costumer service could not ask for anything more. The food was delicious no complaints at all! I would not understand any of the others reviews saying they had “bad service” everything was perfect felt super comfortable by everything. Thank you so much Hamid & Tina.“
“Amazing place to get your head out of the crazy workweek .. Delicious drinks and great appetizers in a lovely inclusive environment.. Jenn, Jan and their staff make you feel at home and take care of you.. just wonderful … I’m not a gin person, but I am now .. best gin and tonic I’ve ever had. Mind blown .. come check it out !“
“The server recommended the monster burger, and she pointed to a side plate saying the burger was roughly that size. When it came out she was so exaggerating at all, the burger was massive and came with a soda and fries. The burger was amazing, and also supper adorable roughly 15 bucks for all of it.“
“Recently went for date night and had a great time. I love that the menu has cute drawings of what your drinks look like! Staff are friendly and damn good at their job. Such a great atmosphere, delicious drinks, quite yummy nachos! Would totally recommend going with friends or a date! Definitely going to try the mystery bowl next time!“
“The team at this place has always been awesome and the food is so good.I always get the slam burger and the wings. Also love the fries, taquitos, cookies, churros, and the weekly hot dog options. You honestly cant go wrong with any of the items on the menu.“
“If you're looking for a place to enjoy the perfect gin in Vancouver, then look no further than this local gin bar. This hidden gem is a must-visit for gin lovers and cocktail enthusiasts alike. But it's not just the drinks that are amazing. The service is impeccable, Ross and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. They go above and beyond to ensure that you have a wonderful experience, and it's clear that they truly care about their customers.“
“Loved the atmosphere, service, drinks, and oysters. Oysters were served with cucumber puree-like things, which was super refreshing. Drinks were great with lots of options. The salad we ordered came with chunks of lobsters. Yum. Overall, I recommend to come and enjoy your life at this bar.“
“Second time here and was very impressed - better than I remembered.Food 5/5 the crudo and suck carbonara were amazing, my partner also loved the semifreddoAmbiance 5/5 artistic and nostalgic. Clean and beautiful bathroomService 5/5 attentive and niceReturn likelihood 5/5“
“perhaps it was the awesome weather, the wonderful company and most def the high ceilings - the watson is def going to be highlight for me for 2024. foodie trio again, and s and i arrived early - we were able to catch the last bits of hh! the decor is modern yet retro - i see that they were channeling dr. watson vibes at the bar area, and the upstairs area is quaint - perfect for a small gathering/party! we were seated right away, and our server, leo (i snagged the name frm my receipt LOL) was VERY attentive. he assisted us with the menu, recommendations, washroom directions - you name it! he was a delight to have! s and i started with some hh nibbles - the whipped burrata and prosciutto. the house focaccia was charred nicely with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. i found the burrata to be on the saltier side but s loves cheese so who am i to complain! the bomba tho - the antipasto that could! it added a nice kick to the dish - not too much cuz s can't handle too much spice - and it was so good that we kept the little dish of it to munch on thruout the night. for drinks, s had the house red and i had the twisted revolver. the twisted revolver was boozy yet there was a nice hint of cinnamon and musty/wood aftertaste. by the time we finished the burrata, a arrived and there was a last call for hh - s and i fumbled and ordered a pencillin for her plus the duck wings. a said the pencillin, with its ginger foam, reminded her of ginger beer/moscow mule - two of her favs. the duck wings were saucy and delish - a and i are used to having the duck wings in a more chinese fashion, and the watson's spin is with gochujang - korean chili paste - which was a nice change to our palate. we then went from 0 to 10 with our ordering - we ordered the harissa carrots, wild mushroom toast, shishito peppers and the roast 1/2 chicken. i ordered my 2nd drink as well - the royal tea, which reminded me of a spiked ribena bubble tea due to the cassis caviar. i did have another refreshing french 75 with the fords dry gin - i was determined to have all the gin on the list (there were only 2 that i havent tried) but alas, the sipsmith gin was not available for my tasting ): now the food! the small plates are def enough to share btwn the 3 of us. we had the shishito peppers and wild mushroom toast arrive first. the shishito peppers were charred nicely and the romesco added another level of heat to the dish - s found some of the peppers to be too spicy but a and i loved it. we kept the romesco on the table - we have a thing for sauces/dips ok?! the wild mushroom toast was OVERLOADED with mushrooms - def a brunch dish but we devoured it anyway! the white wine and fine herbs that went into the mushroom mixture made the concoction that much more flavourful. the house sourdough held its own for the base of the dish - it did not get too soggy nor did it fall apart! onwards to the harissa carrots and roast chicken. we added feta to the carrots, and honestly, i personally like carrots but im sure this dish will make anyone that hates them love them again! the hummus, yogurt, za'atar and pomegranate - it creates a wonderful symphony of flavours in your mouth. the carrots were roasted nicely - caramelized surface but the crunch was still there. it complement the roast chicken VERY nicely. the roast chicken was juicy and tender, the mediterranean vegetables and tomatoes - you need to have the spice yogurt! we were thoroughly stuffed by the end of it, and we're looking forward to coming again to check out the other dishes/drinks!“
“Wildlight is spectacular!! The chowder is the best I have ever had. It was the most amazing dinning experience. The appetizers, mains, specials, deserts - it’s a taste bud explosion of perfection. Love it and recommend anyone who loves fine food with a creative and delicious flare go to WILDLIGHT. The staff are both informative and attentive. Way to go!!“
“Beautiful place, we had a girls get together. Lovely winter ambience . Good food, yummy I should say. We sat in dome, lovely place to be with girls. Good place to be with family too… their dessert were too good….Need to visit one more time to experience spring ambienceParking: We got reserved parking“
“I've been here a couple times now and I'm always impressed. The food is fabulous, the service is great and the restaurant itself is so beautiful. I love how I've never felt like I've been rushed out of there and am given the time to enjoy the food and the company I'm with.“
“The food at cactus club was impeccable today. The waitress was so friendly and pleasant. This is my favourite location because of the test kitchen in the underground level. The only question I have is if there's a secret washroom on the upper level for disabled access. There's no elevator for people on crutches or wheelchairs.“
“My mother and I are good friends with the owner of the restaurant. We decided to support her local business in the community. Our family was a big group and we managed to all fit in including our four family dogs. No reservations are accepted as we had to arrive a little earlier for our family group to be accommodated. Our family enjoyed dining out on the patio. Our water glasses were always filled, except our supper came later for four patrons as the other part of the group were almost finished. Overall the wait staff service was smooth and efficient. The prices seemed affordable for Thai cuisine. All payments were made on time and we would all return in the future to dine there. The restaurant is small with only two washrooms.“
“I brought my mom to Published on Main on a mother-daughter night out. The food was amazingly delicious, and service top-notch. We had a memorable night together sharing love and a wonderful culinary experience. Will definitely return for more!“
“We went for a birthday dinner and we were treated like royalty! We were greeted with champagne, and every menu option was outstanding:) It was hard to decide AND the cocktail menu was superb. The Dine Out Vancouver menu was fantastic, we had beef tartare, wild boar, duck, chicken, chocolate mousse cake and a personalized birthday creme brulée. Many items were on the house and we've already booked to come back at the end of the month with our parents! Run, don't walk, to Alouette! C'était super!! Merci beaucoup ❤❤❤“
“Love this place. Lived literally across the street for so many years and been here so many times on the patio with beers ? and we love their Seafood club sandwich and dirty fries ? omg!! I’ll grab pics next time as it’s our favourite in the area and have ordered it at least 10 times. Thanks guys!! Great place to go “
“I’ve been eyeing this place for a while, since I’ve seen the reviews and love a good board - it definitely didn’t disappoint. The food was excellent - the boards very nicely put together and everything tasted great. We ordered 4 boards from the happy hour menu and the portion sizes were generous (ie we ordered too much).Service was also really good - Gorden was our host, server, and bartender, and he was excellent! He provided recommendations and suggestions, was attentive throughout our meal, and threw out a few jokes, too!Overall a great experience and we’ll definitely be back!“
“I liked the atmosphere and the decorations. Very nice and cozy. Long and interesting selection of cocktails. The food wasn't the best! I ordered the burger, and I wasn't impressed. The lobster mac and cheese was tasty but so heavy. I think it had too much cream, I couldn't even finish it. Overall, it was a good experience, but I wasn't a fan of the food!“
“It's a pub....yet they serve Ramen, Fish tacos and Fried Chicken! The chicken is extra crispy and delicious ? ?. Price is a bit on the high side, but at least try it once. Came here for lunch with 3 other friends and we were all pleased with our meal.“
“One of the best restaurants that I truly enjoyed in Vancouver. The staff were friendly, drinks and food were amazing, very tasty and very creative. I enjoyed every bite of my food. We ordered few items to try and every dish was better than the other. Perfect quality!“
“Delicious food, beautiful atmosphere, super friendly staff. I had the Buffalo Tar tar this evening, and a salmon dish. Very ? good. This pic I posted is the Tar Tar I started eating. I don't normally take photos. But it was so good I had to share.“
“Heard that the park Royal location was shutting down soon, and since me and my boo had our FIRST date here we had to come back and give it one last go! The food didn’t disappoint. I got the Caesar salad with prawns. Mmm heavenly… Im getting convulsions just thinking of the garlicy butter dripping off them . Caesar salad could use more dressing though. And the chicken parm was delicious! Server was also very attentive and funny. Anyways sad to see this go (this is not an omen of my relationship. Right? Right.) at least there are other locations which we will be visiting.“
