“Exceptional Service and Delicious Food!My experience at Milestones Bar and Grill, Park Royal in West Vancouver was elevated thanks to Shelley, the wonderful attendant who went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable. From attentively taking our orders to ensuring we weren't charged for an appetizer with excessive salt, Shelley's professionalism and care truly stood out. Moreover, the food surpassed expectations with delicious flavors and impeccable presentation. Each dish was a culinary delight, and the drinks complemented the meal perfectly.Overall, Shelley's attentive service combined with the delectable cuisine makes Milestones a must-visit establishment. Can't wait to return!“
“Always good food excellent bar service I always have the lettuce wrapps, then a steak mr with prawns. Good, but not as good as the keg for the price. Let's face facts, nothing as good as the keg and there will never be a place.Parking: Big parking lot for many businesses in the area“
“Lovely night spent with family here. Amazing food and Amazing service by our lovely servers who made our evening bright with their positive attitude and politeness, Finney and Callum ?. P.S., the Nitro Espresso Martini is to die for. Highly recommend. “
“Had the chef's tasting menu and was impressed by the development of flavors and complexity from one course to the next. Was delighted for the Uni risotto and the aged duck. Wine pairing was worth it. Service from Larry was excellent, and the Soms were charismatic. Would definitely recommend!“
“The food we had were really good and the portion were generous, too. Our server, Francesca, was very accommodating and thoughtful. She made sure we had everything that we need, and even made suggestions when we couldn’t make up our mind.We ordered:Joey Classic Steak with Yam FriesSteak FritesFish Taco with Crispy MashBlackened ChickenMargaritasGuinness ✨“
“This upscale restaurant has been overwhelmingly popular for the past few years and for good reason. It offers unpretentious and very welcoming service, creative plating, and some of the best food around. It's evident a lot of time and thinking go into the dishes. There is no generic sauce or ingredient that is used repeatedly through the tasting menu. Instead, each dish has its own distinct flavor profile and matching fresh ingredients. Their cocktails are also delicious. What really stands out in the experience dining here, even for fine dining restaurants, is their service. Everyone that I interacted with (5+) was just down to earth, friendly, and extremely patient and attentive. Though the restaurant gets busy, staff members take the time to make you feel constantly attended to and well cared for. The restaurant is also nicely decorated. Overall, Annalena should be at the top of your list if you're looking for a memorable fine dining experience in Vancouver.Vegetarian options: No vegetarian option.Parking: Lots of paid street parking within a short 3 minute walking distance.“
“Megan was our server, we were just meant to pop into for a drink … ended up staying a lott longer. Our last experience was not the best and i was hesitant to come back. But she totally transformed our experience. Menu knowledge, attentiveness and overall great personality. Ask for Megan P next time you are here. Joey shipyards does not disappoint!“
“Went with my friend the day before Valentine's Day for the tasting menu. Service was average, but kudos to the lovely hostess who acknowledged special request for our reservations, and wondering why the dining room servers not paying attention to details like the hostess. Overall the tasting menu was of average quality, nothing of vow factors comparing to my first dining experience years ago here. In particular, the main course European Sea Bass was quite dry, and not sure why it was complemented with chickpeas and salsa like sauces, not quite the chemistry! We have asked the bus boy for taking our picture, but he said he would ask our server who showed up only when serving us the 3 courses, and at the end, the bus boy took the picture for us. Yes, we completed the 3 courses and the pictures, but we both didn't feel completed with a good dining experience!“
“Everything was great. Werewolf drink was so effing delicious!! Never had anything like that before. Wine prices were too high. Room was very noisy. Hard to hear the waiter's description of the plates. Simple room treatment could solve this issue. Would recommend for sure!“
“We recently celebrated my husbands 40th birthday with an amazing dinner at Nightingale! There were 12 of us and had a family style dinner, which every plate that came out was amazing. I wish I lived in Vancouver because I would frequent Nightingale weekly. Service was prompt and they were consistently keeping the drinks flowing.“
“This place is a cultural experience in itself!!! I love so many things about this place, simple and amazing flavours of the food to the cute mini sandwich board they put on your table for the specials of the night. All the servers take part in taking care of all the tables, they are friendly warm and inviting! Highly recommended!!“
“Came here March 2nd after a Whitecaps game. Had the burger of the month (with bacon/BBQ sauce) which was pretty good. Loud ambience, as expected of a sports bar.Shoutout to the staff and manager that night for going the extra mile. I had a corporate discount, and while the staff didn't recognize the specific discount immediately, they went out of their way to accommodate. Much appreciated!“
“My son and I stopped in here for dinner. Neither of us had Ben to a Joey's before so we didn't know what to expect. Definitely pleased with our choice. The menu had lots of food options, we both ended up having steaks with the crispy baked potato. The crispy baked potato was great. The service was great. They had some new non-alcoholic drink samples so my son tried those. Definitely a good change from the regular Shirley Temple. The prices are average“
“They treated us like royalty, when I made the reservation I had said it was my wife and I's wedding anniversary and as soon as we arrived they were on top of it, free champagne and very capable and intuitive service. Very friendly and outgoing but not smothering or annoying. They were there when needed but gone when they were not so that I could enjoy a private, romantic evening with the love of my life, the food was delicious and the drinks were perfect , all in all it was a wonderful and memorable night and I would recommend to anyone looking for a top of the line dining experience when it comes to not only grade "A" cuisine ,but service second to none that I have had the pleasure of receiving thus far! Thank you Glowbal ..... Mick & Darlene Ryan“
“We enjoyed a family dinner at the Hawksworth. Organized team handling the reservation, questions, slight changes, checking in, coat checks. While two sommeliers were available to recommend wines, it was nice that there was a choice of alcohol free drinks for our party. Gratuity was determined by the guest which was a nice surprise.Kid-friendliness: No problem providing a high chair.“
“We ate here while waiting for a flight at YVR in Vancouver. The food was absolutely delicious! The next time we are in Vancouver we will definitely find the main restaurant to have dinner. The staff at the airport were very friendly and sweet. I would recommend this place to anyone.“
“Had Fantastic service our waiter Darshil was very nice and polite always came by asking how the food was and if he could help with anything else. We got our food and drinks really fast. We definitely will be going back all of the food was amazing!.“
“During my business trip in Vancouver I attended a dinner at carderos with a group. The patio was the perfect ambiance. We were served by the charming Pete. He was attentive, intelligent, entertaining and very kind. His extensive knowledge about the menu and his friendly demeanor made our dining experience enjoyable and memorable. We were provided with a group specific menu but Pete let us order a few extra dishes a la carte. Ask him about the fried oysters, he will tell you the truth! By the end of our meal, we unanimously declared Pete as the top waiter we encountered in Vancouver. Danke Carderos and Pete!“
“Great experience last night. The staff are very friendly and the service was super quick. The blonde woman who greeted us at the door was very welcoming and super bubbly. She was even busy helping the other staff. Just great vibes. Will definitely be back again every time we visit “
“It was my first time at this place, and of course I was very curious and with great expectations, as it is Michelin-starred restaurant. The food is definitely worth the rating: each course has a surprising taste, recipes are inventive and I can tell there is research on how to pair the ingredients, in order to create unexpected flavours. I was a bit disappointed by the ambience; it is really tiny, only high chairs are available, and you basically dine elbow-to-elbow with stranger: there would be nothing bad with that, if the price rate was not the same, if not higher, than other similarly rated and much more comfortable restaurants. Watching the cooks preparing the meal was fun, but, once at home, all my clothes smelled of deep fried oil (to be 100% honest, smell was absolutely not an issue during the meal, I only noticed it when going home). For these reasons, I cannot give 5 starts: I am very happy I tried it, but I am not sure I would go again for these prices, given the large choice of high level restaurants in Vancouver.“
“Dylan at the bar was top notch. So was his buddy but I didn’t grab the name. Was on a tight schedule tonight and was served right away. I’d definitely come here again. Steamworks delivered ? I see why it has so many good reviews. I had the onion rings and Kirsche “
“These guys really know how to make your taste buds tingle with their flavourful menu. The staff is very friendly and quick with the orders. Finally they've opened up a restaurant and I can't wait to dine in! Congrats Dos Amigos!!!“
“The atmosphere of the restaurant is great. The decorations are unique and fun. Love the rooster pictures. Foods are great, and their cocktail specials are tasty. I had cod, which was good. Oysters were very fresh and savory. The Manila clams came with some pork fried bites, which was surprisingly delicious. The short ribs were tasty. Service was friendly and attentive. It is a good place for a couple or friends to enjoy dinner. I recommend trying it out.“
“I heard that it is crowded with locals in the morning. It is located just before going down the slope of Robson Street, and has a parking lot, making it easy to use.The staff was also kind and gave me lectures on popular menu items and tips for sightseeing in Vancouver, making my stay very comfortable.Of course, as a token of my gratitude, I gave them a larger tip than usual. I would like to come again. Thank you for the meal.“
“Cozy, eclectic, delicious, high quality ingredients, fabulous enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable service.Had a wonderful meal here. Jen our server made it feel like home. The menu is limited as they adhere to farm to table philosophy and use the best of what's in season. Naturally it changes often, looking forward to a new experience on next visit!“
“One of the best places to dine in Vancouver.Intimate, cosy with a great wine list. I've dined here more than a few times since they open and my last visit was by far the best. As the menu often rotates, it's always a great surprise each time.Dishes are heavily Asian influence, and the menu always includes a crowd favorite, the turnip soup. Although I feel like the portion of my last visit got a bit smaller, it didn't take away the incredible moment of sipping on the creamy (but with no dairy) deep turnip soup.Another outstanding plate during this visit was this onion and tuna dish. That onion alone stole the show. It was sweet, tender and every layer tasted different from the one before.Lastly wow the Charentais melon ice cream was the perfect way to cap the dinner. Same melon, done 4 ways. Could also use a bigger portion as the happiness dissolved in my mouth quite quickly.Wine pairing is highly suggested as the folks there are genuine enthusiasts and are great fun and hold a lot of knowledge.Sit by the bar if you can to watch chef Justin Song Ell create magic.“
“I brought my mom to Published on Main on a mother-daughter night out. The food was amazingly delicious, and service top-notch. We had a memorable night together sharing love and a wonderful culinary experience. Will definitely return for more!“
“Amazing food and friendly service. Wait can get long if you’re coming during weekend mornings, but I’d say it’s worth the wait. I really enjoyed my Salmon Eggs Benedict. The tater tots in the bowl were not the frozen ones I expected, they tasted delicious and crunchy. The coffee was just okay, I didn’t like it a lot so next time I’ll try one of their speciality drinks.“
“We had a very nice night at Arike. The food was excellent and wines were perfectly paired. Don't sleep on this spot if you want excellent, unique food in Vancouver! The service was also good.Room for improvement:I think the atmosphere is lacking a bit. There is something cold and empty about it (both literally and metaphorically). A heavy velvet curtain to keep the heat in along the large window and a change of lighting may do this place wonders. Also the seating need to be a bit cozier.“
“Argo Burger topped with bacon, cheese, fried onions and egg is served alongside a mound of fries. Delicious, whether eaten hot or cold. Fried chicken burger is one of the best in town. Fish and chips came with equal amounts of both, which translates into lots. Creamy Chicken chili con queso and heaping plateful of Spicy lamb on their respective beds of rice were stick-to-your-bones good. Then there's the home-baked pie and the OMG butter tart! If you're searching for comfort food with a serving of easy hospitality, this old-school Mount Pleasant diner is where you'll find it. #EastVanLoveRules“
“I came here for dinner before and had a wonderful experience so I invited my friend for brunch since it was her birthday. The service was attentive and and the drink & food taste wonderful. It was very elegant and prepare for the eyes and your stomach. I would definitely come back and bring my family to enjoy their food and atmosphere.“
“I’ve been eyeing this place for a while, since I’ve seen the reviews and love a good board - it definitely didn’t disappoint. The food was excellent - the boards very nicely put together and everything tasted great. We ordered 4 boards from the happy hour menu and the portion sizes were generous (ie we ordered too much).Service was also really good - Gorden was our host, server, and bartender, and he was excellent! He provided recommendations and suggestions, was attentive throughout our meal, and threw out a few jokes, too!Overall a great experience and we’ll definitely be back!“
“Tara and Alexis were so professional and patient.Had my wife and in-laws out for the NBA playoffs and they were not phased by all the hoops and hurdles my inlaws were throwing at them. I’m talking “hot water with lemon, scissors to cut the portions down to smaller pieces, and plethora of other demands.Food was phenomenal and the service was even better.Highly recommend for any special events or just a night to watch the game!Cactus is doing something right with the exceptional service and overall experience! 10/10!!“
“I recently had a disappointing experience While Martin the server was friendly and attentive to my friend, they completely ignored me throughout the meal. Despite my empty glass, they didn't even bother to ask if I needed a refill. It's frustrating when good service is inconsistent. However I’d like to give a big shoutout to Paul he was really nice and got ua everything we needed.“
“Since the Calgary location is permanently closed, I am going to write a review about how terrible the management is! I was a server and I found out when Ishowed up to work and found out it was my last shift, and i was going to be unemployed without any notice. the owner is terrible! shame on him. Do not support this man’s business. They don’t deserve a single star“
“I came to eat here for my birthday. I like the decoration, the place is very charming. But I didn’t reserve a place in the garden because of a wedding that day. The welcome is warm, the dishes are delicate and delicious. I will definitely come back to it.“
“The environment is beautiful. Very well decorated and the chairs are nice. I ordered a polenta dish at brunch that was extremely spicy. I struggled to eat it. I couldn't taste anything else in the dish because the pepper was so strong in the sauce. I also ordered the Belgard coffee and honestly found it quite bland. The espresso was good. We were attended to by Taylor. The place wasn't full but she served us as if she was in a hurry so we could order quickly and leave. We have lived in Vancouver for at least 3 years. We are used to the North American way of wanting to make the tables turn quickly, but she made a point of making this very evident in the way she spoke to us. The hostess (Esther) was very friendly.“
“Sylvia Hotel in Vancouver stands as the epitome of excellence in hospitality. Boasting the undeniable best location for tourists, this gem offers not only affordability but also an unparalleled experience. Situated in the heart of the city, its proximity to key attractions makes exploration effortless. My stay at Sylvia Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The affordability combined with the prime location made it the obvious choice for my Vancouver visit. The hotel's charm and character, coupled with its impeccable service, left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I stepped foot in Sylvia Hotel, I knew I had found my Vancouver haven. The cozy ambiance and stunning views added to the allure of this remarkable establishment. It's no wonder I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when I return to this beautiful city. In summary, Sylvia Hotel earns a perfect 10/10 rating in my book. Its unbeatable location, affordability, and unmatched hospitality make it the premier destination for travelers seeking an unforgettable Vancouver experience.“
“I was pleasantly surprised that in a rather touristy place, the restaurant is so good. The service was very attentive and super friendly, people always asked and refilled water and the food was very tasty. The craft beer didn't disappoint either.?“
“Great spot for breakfast or lunch. Service was good and you get a nice diner feel inside the restaurant. The drinks were well balanced. The GF corn bread was a pleasant surprise. The chicken sandwich was stand out. Will be going there again.“
“The ambiance of the venue is truly remarkable, complemented by great service. However, I deducted one star due to the steep pricing. Although the two dishes we ordered, along with a non-alcoholic beverage and a beer, were flavorful, the total bill of $90 felt disproportionate to the portion sizes provided.“
“We stumbled across this Bistro and decided to try it for Brunch. Our entire party was delighted with our meals of Chicken & Waffles, BBQ Pulled Pork Bennies, Huevos Rancheros and Dutch Baby Pancake. We also loved our Americanos, Cappuccinos and London Fogs. Would definitely recommend!Kid-friendliness: The restaurant was welcoming for our little one and we saw a highchair brought to another table.“
“When I want to have dinner at a place other than the usual chain restaurants, I go to Forage. They have a sustainable dining philosophy, and while a few restaurants claim this as well, Forage is the only one that can actually back it up, as the quality of their food is always impeccable. At the time I went with my girlfriend, they were having a 3 Course Special, which we both got, since it was way cheaper than buying everything a la carte. The tuna, oysters and beef carpaccio appetizers were all plated like works of art, and they tasted even better.I decided against my usual steak to try out their Bison Cheeks while my girlfriend requested the Gnocchi, which is one of her favorite dishes.I will say that the Cheeks were exceptionally soft, and they just melted in my mouth. The Gnocchi also tasted wonderful, although, we did wonder if maybe they shortchanged us a bit as it was pushed all to one side for some reason.Dessert rounded out what was a very satisfying meal, as we were both stuffed. It's always a treat to come to Forage. When I want a fine~dining experience, I know they'll always deliver.“
“I went to the Cider House for the ciders...wasn't too sure how I would feel about the vegan menu! But oh my goodness, the food was incredible! I shared the guac and chips, oyster mushroom calamari and the nachos and everything was amazing! The ciders were so cool too and the wait staff was incredibly helpful at describing the various ciders and what to expect from them. It had a great vibe for a dinner with girlfriends and I can not wait to take my Texan husband in to show him how amazing vegan food can taste! 100% recommend this place!“
“My pizza was great, but my friend’s jambalaya was mostly onions, tomato sauce, and rice. I think there were 2 shrimp and maybe 5 small pieces of chicken. Definitely not worth $26.Our waitress was great. Other staff checked in on us when our waitress was busy. It’s a great place to sit outside. It’s right on the Fraser River.“
“I went in on my birthday to get get some quick breakfast to start my day. Not only were the staff amazing, the food was really tasty. To top it off, when they found out it was my birthday, they made me an awesome birthday card. Thank you Tipper Family, much love.“
“First time here and wanted to try their Sable fish but wasn't on the menu even tho it was on their online menu. Went with the arctic char. It was a bit overcooked so a bit on the dry side but flavor of everything else on the plate was good. Warm vegetable salad was pretty good. For dessert we shared the sticky toffee pudding which was a bit disappointing. There was something crunchy in it like poppy seeds. The pear strudel was better. Both desserts quite sweet for my tastebuds. Overall still worth a try for their other entrees and appetizers.“
“The coffee is genuinely good, as you'd expect when it's freshly roasted on site! Love that I can buy coffee beans roasted a couple of days prior right in my neighborhood and they also have a nice stock of brewers like aeropress and chemex you can buy.“
“Really there's nowhere better for indulgent, gargantuan takes on old school western classics - lumberjack breakfasts, loaded burgers that throw in the kitchen sink, and so on. Vancouver's oldest restaurant keeping it real and keeping bellies full since 1926. Fun gimmicky design, doesn't take itself seriously at all. Whatever the opposite to pretentious is.“
“We loveeeee coming here for the ambiance, the friendly staff, the delicious food. It’s all exceptional especially Dylan the server who is the coolest server ever. I made a joke to my partner about comparing him to servers in general because we’ve had such a bad go the last few years with customer service in Vancouver. It’s been really disappointing it almost makes you not want to go out anymore but thennnnn you come across a guy like a Dylan…who’s extremely passionate about his work and it’s noticeable and it changes your mind ! Way to go Dylan !!“
