“Heard that the park Royal location was shutting down soon, and since me and my boo had our FIRST date here we had to come back and give it one last go! The food didn’t disappoint. I got the Caesar salad with prawns. Mmm heavenly… Im getting convulsions just thinking of the garlicy butter dripping off them . Caesar salad could use more dressing though. And the chicken parm was delicious! Server was also very attentive and funny. Anyways sad to see this go (this is not an omen of my relationship. Right? Right.) at least there are other locations which we will be visiting.“
“It's been about 5 years since I have been there. I was very much looking forward to it, I had been frequently in the past. Always had excellent food and great service.Something has changed...is it just the cooks?Food was good, but not amazing. I had the scallop and prawn lemon risotto. Two Scallops and 3 prawns. Risotto did not taste lemon, but has a bitter flavour that I can't describe. Not unpalatable, but nota good flavour.Rack of lamb was enjoyed and so was the lobster ravioli.Desserts, baileys creme brulee...was fridge cold, the brulee was definitely done well in advance.Affagato...Soooooo disappointing! The last time I was there, yes a long time ago, they had a REAL espresso machine, and made fabulous espresso's...Now, its NESPRESSO ☹.Coffee with NO flavour. What a shame.I didn't realize it was a Nespresso machine, until I mentioned that the espresso was terrible. It wasn't removed from the bill. The small things that make a huge difference.Hope Carmelo understands QUALITY IS IMPORTANT IN ALL AREAS.Atmosphere: it is nice, but we were seated by the door and with it opening and closing constantly, not the most comfortable on the cool evenings of winter. Also they have a lamp that seems to flash multi colors, and is irritating when you are seated near it.Will I go back...Yes, probably.A one off not GREAT experience is no reason not to give them a second chance, when history has been so good, but the passing years, have there been changes made to lower the qualities?“
“One of only a few favorite spots in West Vancouver. Our whole family loves it and we all highly recommend it. The food, service, and atmosphere are all excellent. Doug and Rob are the owners have created this a little Gem in West Vancouver and we are so thankful for this. They have a great team of people that work there and everyone is so attentive, caring and provide such great service. The entire menu is excellent and we have always experienced good times with family and friends on every visit. We highly recommend this restaurant and everything on the menu from apes to dessert are fantastic. Bravo!“
“Amazing and authentic Italian food. Great service and location. Love their coffee, pizza, pasta and pastries as well. Perfect place to have a birthday party, date or business meeting. Clean, spacious and modern. Friendly staff, they also greet you in Italian if you speak Italian. This is so far one of our favorite restaurants in West-Van.“
“This restaurant is family run and it shows. We came in at the end of the night with the restaurant being near closing, though he couldn't allow us to eat-in the owner did allow us to order carryout. While we waited he regaled us with stories of the history of the restaurant and area.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free crust option available in medium size.“
“My experience at Savio Volpe was amazing! I have always wanted to try this restaurant ever since i’ve heard of it few yrs ago but unfortunately couldnt get in coz it’s hard to make a reservation. Glad i was able to get in this time. Me, my husband, my mom and in laws came over to celebrate our bday at this restaurant and it really surpassed our expectations. Our fave were the maple farm half chicken, primrose pork belly with scallops and green apple puree, tiramisu and amaretto bday ice cream! It was def chef’s kiss! Shout out to Steve for constantly checking on us making sure we were ok and we were enjoying our meal. We would love to go back again sometime in the future.“
“Very impressive. I was just walking by and decided to stop into the place. they guys were so friendly and amazing. I highly would recommend their awesome food and serviceKid-friendliness: Cool staffWheelchair accessibility: Yes appears to be so“
“Food: the food was delicious. I had the Rigatoni Alla BollognesePrice: $20-$30 for appetizers $30-40 for main coursesEnvironment: it is very small and tight within the restaurant. A homey feeling.Parking: there’s lots of paid parking on the streetService: the server and service was amazingAnything else:“
“Its been 8 years since I moved to Canada and not been enjoying eating outside due to the quality of service.I met a lot of unqualified staff in many other restaurants. But Peppino has not only great foods but also all their staffs were amazing. Their serving was super professional and make us feel comfortable. There was quite long waiting until we got seated, we got one free appitizer dish for compensation.Foods were amazing. However pizza was just ok. I don't know what happened to the dough, seemed under proofed. Pasta was perfect, fries and main dishes were great. Definitely wanna visit again.“
“We've been here twice now. Beautiful interior space, delicious food, and attentive service. Our absolute favorite dishes are the carne cruda and the off menu omelette with king crab. Tajarin pasta is very unique and worth trying. We also had their daily special buckwheat tagliatelle which was quite delicious.A wonderful spot for date night! Be sure to make a reso in advance.“
“tried Soltani, Vasiri and the Koobideh. the meals were quite filling and enough for 4ppl. with appetizers costs us $100 approx. Free parking at bakyard. amazing service. if you are looking for Persian Kebabs and good service this is the one.“
“Celebrated a 65th birthday lunch with 5 others. Delicious food, great service. You will need a reservation as very popular. Extra charges included a 20% built-in tip and 2.50 per person as we brought our own birthday cake.Parking can be challenging. Watch for tow away signs and 1 hour only signs.“
“This is an interesting place with both Mexican and Italian food. The reg latte / cappuccino were okay but the horchata latte was fantastic!Like the tiramisu but the basic Mexican breakfast was okay. So overall, depends on what you order! Service at counter is very good but expectation is you clear your table after you are done.I would go back to try more dishes for sure.“
“AMAZING. I have been thinking about this pasta for 2 weeks since I went. Highly recommend the tasting menu as the appetizers, pastas, and desserts all surpassed expectations. We arrived at about 4:30 on a Saturday and were fourth in line for the second seating at 7pm, which was what we were expecting. Smooth process if you don't mind waiting a bit, and the wait is definitely worth it.“
“We met some friends here for a meal and the food was really good, I had the Lasagna which was superb, and the pizza was the best we had in Vancouver, the staff were fantastic and even though it was busy, the atmosphere felt intimate. It would be a great place for a romantic meal if that's what you want too.“
“I come from an Italian family, and since I moved to Vancouver, I've had a hard time finding good Italian food. Last night, I decided to take a chance on Casereccio and, OMG, the food!! The Bucatini all'Amatriciana made me tear up. Definitely coming back soon!“
“From the moment my colleagues and I decided to host our company off-site gathering at Carlino in Vancouver, I had high expectations, and I'm delighted to say they were not just met, but surpassed. The ambiance of Carlino offers a warm embrace, with its elegantly arranged seating and the comforting glow of the fireplace where I had the pleasure of dining. This cozy spot by the fire became the stage for an unforgettable evening filled with culinary delights, laughter, and exceptional service. The food was nothing short of wonderful, each dish artfully presented and bursting with flavors that speak of the chef's skill and the kitchen's commitment to quality ingredients. The wine selection complemented our meal perfectly, enhancing the overall dining experience with each perfectly paired sip. What truly set this experience apart were our servers, Georgio and Sara. Their professionalism, warmth, and genuine interest in ensuring we had the best time made our gathering feel personal and special. Georgio's recommendations were spot-on, leading us through a culinary journey that excited the palate, while Sara's attentive service ensured our glasses were never empty and our spirits high.In summary, Carlino not only served as a fantastic venue for our company off-site but also provided an experience that will be cherished and talked about for a long time. The combination of exquisite food, an inviting atmosphere, and stellar service from Georgio and Sara made our night memorable. I highly recommend Carlino to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Vancouver. Whether for a corporate event, a special occasion, or a casual night out, Carlino is a choice that will not disappoint.“
“I went here for my birthday and the food was amazing. We had calamari to start, o had the rack of lamb and my partner had the duck. For dessert we couldn’t decide so we got the salted caramel crème brûlée and the chocolate soufflé. The server was so attentive in filling my wine, brought out a complimentary dessert and were visited by the chef to check in. Would definitely go back!“
“We have visited this restaurant before and again we were not disappointed. We wanted a meal that we could enjoy each course and not be rushed to finish quickly because your server was bringing the next course. The flavours were very tasty:) positions were perfect to enjoy all courses. The young lady that served us had a great sense of humour and offered her ideas to pair together and how to split choices to be able to try our favourites. Moe also remembered us from our last visit and welcomed us back:) A must visit“
“I was invited for a wedding dinner and I was also doubling up as the Photographer. Great place and ambience for photography. Food tasted great. Service was a bit slow. Food price is a bit on the expensive side being a Street Food style restaurant.“
“Great food and great service! It was extremely busy when we went. However, we got a seat right away without a reservation on the weekend which was a surprise for my boyfriend and I. The service afterwards was great! Our server was Chris. Who was friendly and very enjoyable to have.We highly recommend! Thanks for a great evening here.“
“Like everyone says, can be hard to find (but used GPS) and a hidden gem! Decor is nothing fancy but clean and comfy with excellent food and service! With 2 visits now, my family and I tried 5 different dishes and 2 kinds of soup, everything was delicious! I really enjoy the BLT on a bun, good quality bacon. Really good portions and affordable prices. Will be coming back!“
“I had a great experience with the Tongue beef sandwich at this restaurant! It had a unique and delicious taste that I really enjoyed. The portion size was generous, as one sandwich was enough to satisfy two people. The side of fried fries was a nice addition. The ambiance of the restaurant was good, although there is room for improvement, especially with the music. However, overall, you can expect to find some really good Persian food there.“
“Found this little place while my husband and I were walking up Commercial Drive. All I have to say is " WoW! ". The pizzas were so amazing, light crust, non greasy and full of fresh toppings. They do their own seasoning and it certainly tastes like home cooking. My husband tried out the stromboli and he was so in love with it, said it was the best handheld item he ever had and it's so true. This shop is old school, Ma and Pa pizza place so people please support them. They aren't a franchise and certainly don't taste like one. 100% approved for quality, service. They have a street fighter machine in there too and also the music was very nice. Thank you , Auntie Jen's, we will be back!“
“I have been away for a few months and upon my return prioritized a trip to my favourite restaurant, Sempre Uno! It did not disappoint! We usually dine family style, but due to some dietary restrictions we each ordered our own meals. The tuna tartare ranks amongst the best anywhere, and my Strozzapreti Al Ragù Di Maiale (a pork ragu) is rich and delicious. We shared a Gorgonzola cheesecake to finish and all I can say is yummy!! Great staff & servers to guide the experience. I look forward to many return trips in the future!“
“Couldnt stop rolling my eyes (in a good way) because all the food we ordered were really really good!Carbonara, artichoke+lemon ricotta antipasti, baked eggplant dish.We didn't drink, but would def will come back to wine and dine; also, to try their pizzas.Lots of veg, vegan options avail.Vegetarian options: Most of their food menu consisted of vegetarian options.“
“What a fabulous staff and the food is incredible!! If your looking for a nice dinner this is the place. Went on a Tuesday and they had a live female impersonator who absolutely killed it. Then we went the next week on a Thursday and yet another entertainer wow just wow i can’t imagine going anywhere else for dinner. Thank you Bonta you are awesome!! ♥️“
“Second time here and was very impressed - better than I remembered.Food 5/5 the crudo and suck carbonara were amazing, my partner also loved the semifreddoAmbiance 5/5 artistic and nostalgic. Clean and beautiful bathroomService 5/5 attentive and niceReturn likelihood 5/5“
“The food was amazing! Delicious pasta, exceptional pizza. But prices are insane, I know this is pricey restaurant but cannot justify them. Staff was ok, not very helpful. My friend had serious dietary restrictions, they didn't really know what are the ingredients in the meals. Also, tables are too close to each other to my comfort. The man on the neighbor table kept bothering us.“
“Yes, things are downtown price. BUT! Taste was amazing. Service was nice and fast, atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming. We had coffee and dessert which exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this place to grab a bite or a drink when you're visiting gas town. I will def come back for a full meal next “
“Had the Sunday sauce! Omg! Watch for it because it doesn’t happen every day! I’m just saying this is the real deal it’s rich and meaty and most decadent sauce. Fun place to stop in and shop for Italian ingredients too, I love the relaxed style of take out and all the choices.“
“Was in Van visiting a friend and was told to check this place out. Definitely wasn’t disappointed! Food was delicious and our server was amazing! We had Jeremy and he was friendly, knew the menu, and made delicious wine and food recommendations. Will definitely be back.“
“First time at Per se Social Corner for brunch on the weekend, my friend and I have been wanting to check out the restaurant for a while. We ordered the SPANISH BREAKFAST and BRUNCH BRAVAS. Unfortunately, the sunny side up eggs and Spanish chorizo were over cooked and the eggs weren't even runny. I think they grilled the chorizo a bit too long and they were quite black. I am not sure if I would order this dish again. My friend enjoyed her Brunch Bravas with the braised beef. The coffee also took a while, we received our meals before the drinks and they never wished my friend happy birthday even though I indicated on the online reservation that this is a special occasion for birthday event. The atmosphere at the restaurant is nice though, decor and everything feel glamours. You might even spotted the chef making the dough for the pizza at the back.“
“Christian was the gentleman that serviced my friend and I for a birthday celebration. He was very professional and made us feel at home. We were also not rushed and therefore enjoyed our dining experience. The food was authentic, and the atmosphere reminded me of my time in Italy. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you so much Il Nido and Christian!“
“I'm surprised to see this hidden gem on the corner of the street. I got the soup and focacia combo for 9 dollars. The soup was good but a bit too sour for me. Maybe if they added a drop of yogurt in the middle, it would be perfect. The bread itself is delicious. It is soft, spongy, and just the right amount of cheese without it being too "greasy." I would definitely go back to try their sandwich or even get the fociccia bread alone.“
“The last of a dying breed, Dids is the type of establishment that when you walk into, you immediately feel uncomfortable. And yes that is on purpose. The pizza is elegantly simple but too complex for your understanding. Just let your tastebuds guide you on a journey you will never forget.“
“The pizza is good! The tomato sauce is slightly flavorless (almost like plain crushed tomatoes!) we got lucky we had a nice waiter because the staff were somewhat hit or miss (we encountered a couple which not only lacked the professionalism required of their role, but also acted somewhat condescending towards guests. We were also offered the burrata salad which was on special but the pesto croutons were soggy and disappointing. Overall, it was somewhat worth the long line up.“
“The food was amazing, the gnocchi with burrata was absolutely amazing. The drinks were good, but my boyfriend was a little disappointed with the portion (he eats a lot) he got the lobster ravioli, but for me all good, definitely I'll be back, the atmosphere is like an authentic Italian “
“Lunch at Joey's was great but parking was disappointing. I paid for 2 hours at the machine. I wanted to use the EZPark app but despite EZPark signs all over when I got to the machine to get the location code the signs said EZPark App was no more. They suggested other apps but none I had and I did not want to take the time then to download and install a new app. I wound up at lunch a bit longer then I anticipated and yup, I got a $95 dollar ticket“
“Amazing experience. We’ve been to Impostori 5-6 times. Each time the food & service is top notch. The atmosphere is not old style Italian, I feel like I’m in a cool resto/bar in Milano or Firenze. We often try the daily specials and have never been disappointed. Sometimes i want to keep this place a secret so that I can always get a table, but that wouldn't be fair to Vancouverites.“
“Amazing little shop, with everything Italian. We randomly stopped by, on our way to Seattle, on 12/24th, a few hours before everyone was closing for Christmas. The owners made a wonderful fresh pizza for us, then we tried freshly baked deserts and coffee. It was made with love and the best ingredients.Thank you so much for your hospitality and amazing food!Merry Christmas!Kid-friendliness: Kids loved everything!“
“Great place right in front of the beach! The service is great! Food was tasty! ??Kid-friendliness: Our seven month old was in his stroller. They created space to keep the stroller and also provided hot water for us which we needed to make baby formula.“
“Very nice atmosphere inside, and staff make you feel very welcome. Food was excellent and a bit unexpected for a neighborhood restaurant. Pasta was freshly made, sauces were hearty and tasty, and the pizza crust was perfectly made. The combination of exceptional food, service, and setting made us feel like we were transported somewhere downtown….except parking was free. Definitely worth having repeat visits at this restaurant.“
“A little bit pricey BUT the focaccia sandwich was totally worth it! Basically two sandwiches in one! Had it for the first time last week and ended up having it 3 times that week! Cant recommend enough! If you come here you won’t regret it and will definitely be back again!“
“Celebrated my Milestone Birthday last night at this Fabulous Restaurant. I’ve always Loved this restaurant. We have being going since Umberto had the beautiful Tuscan yellow building. We always feel so welcomed & like family when we dine there. Umberto is always so personable & greets everyone in the restaurant. The Food was incredible last night as always. I really Loved my Birthday Celebration at Giardino. It made me feel So Special Thank you for making my Birthday so Memorable ❤️ Fay Jensen“
“The calamaro yes O, was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. It was grilled humboldt squid, spicy puttanesca, pea shoots, chopped olive. Absolutely fantastic. Like, I wanna go back and have it again. Great service, nice private dining area. Great food! Highly recommend.“
“We came here for our wedding anniversary and had incredible service. Everyone was very friendly and the food was very good. We had the lamb on the fish dish which was very good. They also took the time to write us a nice little letter, which have a nice touch to the dinner. Great place for date night.“
“What a great first experience I had at this restaurant tonight! I will definitely be back very soon. Beautiful presentation of our prosciutto, arugula + Burrata appetizer (delicious too) — if you’ve seen it — you know what I mean. The pizza was also absolutely divine.Everything we had was fabulous! Excellent food and service from start to finish. We had lots of questions about the menu, and the owner was very accommodating. We were lucky enough to try some passion fruit sorbetto Christina (one of the owners) was making, and I can honestly say that it was the best sorbetto I have ever had! Even better than I had in Italy! Can’t wait to come back to this spot and try some other menu items. Highly recommend! I’ve worked in hospitality for almost two decades, and I can say with confidence, that this place knows what they’re doing.“
“The best Gelato in Vancouver, I absolutely love it. The owner is amazing, friendly and kind hearted individual who truly cares about his customers. I stopped by today to grab a Gelato (even tho they were closed) the owner made it happen as I ran into him outside the cafe. If you’re in the area definitely worth the visit you will not be disappointed.“
“Pictured: Focaccia, Sicilian Calamari, Burrata Crostini, Caprese Salad, Spaghetti & Signature Meatballs, Braised Lamb, Chicken Parmesan, Zeppole al Cioccolat, and Limoncello Trifle. Drinks: Mojito and Tiramisu Eggnog Everything was delicious but my top 3 dishes would have to be: Sicilian Calamari, Burrata Crostini, and Chicken Parm. The drinks are a must try too. I just wish the chicken Parmesan came with pasta or at least the potatoes were crispier. Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Food 5/5“
