“Honest to Pete Coffee Roasters is an absolute gem! The lattes here are nothing short of sublime; every sip is a testament to the full-flavored richness of the beans, perfectly complemented by the velvety steamed milk. I personally love adding just a touch of honey to mine for that extra hint of sweetness. The ambiance of the place is just as impressive as the coffee – it's intimate and brimming with character, complete with the owner's prized guitars adorning the walls. And if you're lucky, you might even be treated to a serenade by the man himself (along with his talented and beautiful partner and wife) as you enjoy your second cuppa. A truly unique and delightful experience!“

“The ultimate coffee-geek experience in Vancouver. This place has a unique vibe that makes you want to explore all their brewing methods and taste all their coffees. Ordered a flat white and was surprised at how small it was. Shrinkflation is everywhere these days. It was also not as hot as I would have preferred it to be. That being said, the service was great. Though we arrived 30 minutes before closing time and sat down to enjoy our order, they didn’t make us feel rushed. We’ll be back to try something new and will definitely order more waffles!“

“La Cuisson Café offers a delightful experience for anyone seeking a cozy spot with an impressive menu. The ambiance is warm and inviting, reminiscent of a Parisian bistro with a modern twist. Their coffee is exceptional, boasting a rich and smooth flavor that coffee aficionados will appreciate. The highlight, however, is their patisserie selection. Each pastry is a work of art, perfectly balanced in flavor and texture. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, the quality and atmosphere make it a worthwhile visit. Ideal for a leisurely brunch or a relaxing afternoon coffee, La Cuisson Café is a hidden gem that promises a memorable culinary journey.“

“We went here for brunch on a Saturday and the place was very full. We didnt know how popular this place was so we came at peak hour. Unfortunately we had to stand outside to wait for our table due to limited standing space inside but once we went in things moved pretty quickly. One couple sitting nearby even got a gentle reminder from a server to order as soon as possible since they took too long.We got the shakshuka and the free range eggs they used tasted so much better than what we usually get at the supermarket. It’d be nicer if the eggs were less cooked but the dish overall was very pleasant. The interior is very instagrammable too. If you’re into eclectic decor with local vibes, this is the place for you. However, be aware of the time limit during the weekend.“

“This coffee roaster is one of my most favourite in Vancouver East. Although it is operating quietly in a warehouse building in a quiet street, there are many people visit this coffee roaster in the neighbourhood. The baristas were quite friendly to new faces like me (in fact I’ve here for several times but I’m not living nearby). My favourite coffee here is simply latte. The flavour was bold and full body which is also good to go with oat milk. The barista counter is in the centre of the space with most of the seats are allocated to inside of the space. They have the steps near the entrance for customers to wait or enjoy coffee there. I recommend this place for coffee lovers if you are in the East VAN area.“

I look forward to coming here. The staff are all very nice and welcoming!Parking: In front of the store as well as across the streetWheelchair accessibility: I’ve seen wheelchairs come in. The entrance is on the same level as the sidewalk. Inside is spacious enough to maneuver, and the large table in the middle is a great height.“

“I love this spot! The coffee is fantastic, and the service and snacks are just as great. It's my go-to place for picking up coffee to brew at home, and I love that they give you a complimentary coffee with every bag purchase. Plus, they have a recycling program for the old bags. My suggestion would be to add internet access and create a workspace to foster a community atmosphere. Also, it'd be amazing if they could offer coconut milk and alternatives like matcha for my partner who isn't able to drink coffee.“

“Today it is raining heavily, and it's cold and wet outside. I happened to pass by here and urgently wanted to have a hot drink. This place looks very small from the outside, but upon entering, passing through the narrow passage , there is a row of tables and warm pendant lights inside, which is surprisingly delightful because you can't tell from the exterior at all. The shelf in the shop displays many of their own roasted coffees and various dark chocolates. I ordered a cup of jasmine tea, and the staff was very friendly, bringing it on a beautiful tray with a small hourglass, which was quite interesting. The quality of the tea leaves is also good, with a strong aroma. The atmosphere in the whole shop is very peaceful. I hope to come back and try their various chocolates and coffees. I'm delighted to have accidentally discovered this place today; it's definitely worth recommending.“

“I stopped in on a mid weekday afternoon to have a coffee and croissant while I waiting for an appointment. I did not have any of the fancy beverages but the plain coffee made due. It’s a nice spot to relax with plenty of seats and tables. It was my first time in a JJ beans and I will definitely be stopping into another one!“

“First visit to this Trees location, but I’ve been to many of the other locations. The space is clean and comfortable - it’s moderately-sized for downtown and wasn’t crowded around noon on a weekday while I was there. The barista was friendly. I had a veggie breakfast wrap, a slice of strawberry cheesecake (January special), and a cup of Chinese sencha. The breakfast wrap is your standard scrambled eggs wrap with a Southwest touch of black beans and peppers, with a side of spicy salsa. It was good. The strawberry cheesecake had a strong natural strawberry flavour. The texture was nice and light, this one was a bit more mousse-like than most of their cheesecakes. They use high quality tea leaves. My good impression here is consistent with the experiences I’ve had at other locations. Their food is standard cafe fare but notable for being fresh and filling. The cheesecake slices are a good size, not too dense, and all of the flavours I’ve tried so far (which is most of them) are memorable.“

“It's a lovely shop though it can be hard to find seats at times. Very popular, they have a laptop study room almost near the back. There's also outside seating when its not too cold. I stop here every time I'm in North Van.“

“A small but bright coffee shop with breakfast, lunch and treat options. The atmosphere in here is quite calm, perhaps as most of the tables just seat 2/3 people so it wouldn't attract large groups. It's the perfect spot to come solo or catch up with a friend. I was a big fan of the iced matcha latte and the cinnamon bun (warmed!).“

“What a nice discovery in the downtown area! Very nice decoration with lots of character and a nice selection of small gifts for coffee lovers. The espresso machine didn't work the day I visited, but we got a drip coffee from El Salvador that was beautifully presented. The food we tried was great.“

“My favourite cafe closed in January so i have started coming here. Even if i just get a black coffee, its worth being able to chill for a while. Coffee is consistently good, which means a lot considering a lot of cafes in Vancouver are a bit too dynamic with quality. I also love that its open till 5 rather than closing earlier like many cafes“

“One of the loveliest coffee shops experiences I’ve had recently. Plenty of options of baked goods and savoury items, skilled baristas, great atmosphere with good music, people chatting, nice views of the street. Reminded me of a sentence from my favourite author “remember when we had time to kill time?”, that’s how I felt when I sat here for about 40 mins to sip on a latte with a blueberry coffee cake and my book. And if you care to read… across the street is one of the spots from the show Loudermilk (Neptoon Records). Great places to shop around are Welk’s and Front & Company ;)Parking: Main Street parking is all paid but the side street will have 2h spots.“
“This location is my first favourite if them all. The chefs prepare pretty good food here, always fresh, wholesome and lots of variety. I like to pick up fresh organic fruits and veggies, then head over to the food bar to create my own dinner. Tonight, raisin, nuts and turmeric rice, roasted chicken, and braised cauliflower. Plus a carrot, celery, cucumber and coconut water smoothie. How perfect is that? Optimal nutrition and delicious to boot, convenience too. A fresh food market in the heart of a city of skyscrapers and construction.“

“This store is spacious! It has a rustic look at most parts but the mirror like ceiling feels very cyber. An interesting contrast of the space. Coffee is good. The oatmeal raspberry jam cookies tastes quite good, just a bit too sweet for me; and I feel I made a healthier choice for oatmeal ?. Will visit again.“

“Friendly service, good tasting pastries and croissants and nicely prepared drinks. The staff are responsive and noticed them cleaning the tables etc...when asked.Did notice a fly in the baked goods cabinet, but it is open from the back so not much they can do other than modify the cabinet I guess. A bit off-putting, but otherwise a nice coffee shop.“
