“I'd go here several times a week if I lived closer because this place is a great little gem! Really great coffee, tea, and snacks but not priced higher than other similar places. Support local small businesses! Same two staff are always there and very friendly. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“This location is pretty hidden within this industrial business area. So it may take some trial and error to find it. It's also a pretty small location, but still has the same amazing jj bean coffee and baked goods. Even though it's about a 5-10 minute drive past my work, its worth the extra commute!“
“Okay what can I say about JJ beanie is that their food is really really good and what I like about their food is that it's really good and I believe they're also made. It's kind of like almost. I don't know how to explain the food. The food is organic for one and and it's delicious. Number two and number three is some of the items are vegan which I absolutely love and me being a diabetic and all the food is amazing and it doesn't bother my blood sugars whatsoever so thumbs up for that and then the service. What can I say about the service? The service is amazing. They're always super friendly. They're always really nice and overall every time you come in they always greet you with a nice smile on their face and then they start talking to you. It's just an amazing place to be which I love. And as for atmosphere goes, I love her atmosphere. I absolutely do I. I love it. I can't get enough. It's not so busy. Most of the time is not busy but it's like welcoming and it's warm and it's just overall amazing like amazing atmosphere and I absolutely love that. Although they could use some no plugins to plug in your like. You know cell phones or laptops or what have you? But to be honest, besides that, there's like nothing bad or wrong that I could say about JJ being. I absolutely love it. I do and I love the workers there are there. They've become a friends to me so they're they're amazing. Love them all!“
“Much much better now than when it first opened years ago .. staff are very friend and their systems are now in place … the single origin coffee they had (I am an Ethiopian coffee geek), Ethiopia ACACIA was very good and the peanut butter cookie :-) well done to the manager and staff .. give them a raise Mr. John Neate!“
“Honest to Pete Coffee Roasters is an absolute gem! The lattes here are nothing short of sublime; every sip is a testament to the full-flavored richness of the beans, perfectly complemented by the velvety steamed milk. I personally love adding just a touch of honey to mine for that extra hint of sweetness. The ambiance of the place is just as impressive as the coffee – it's intimate and brimming with character, complete with the owner's prized guitars adorning the walls. And if you're lucky, you might even be treated to a serenade by the man himself (along with his talented and beautiful partner and wife) as you enjoy your second cuppa. A truly unique and delightful experience!“
“The ultimate coffee-geek experience in Vancouver. This place has a unique vibe that makes you want to explore all their brewing methods and taste all their coffees. Ordered a flat white and was surprised at how small it was. Shrinkflation is everywhere these days. It was also not as hot as I would have preferred it to be. That being said, the service was great. Though we arrived 30 minutes before closing time and sat down to enjoy our order, they didn’t make us feel rushed. We’ll be back to try something new and will definitely order more waffles!“
“a long-overdue review for one of my favourite coffee shops in BC!I love Kop and every interaction I’ve had with their team. Great coffees, snacks (including some vegan options ?), and adorable store merchandise.Recently the business I work for moved locations so I won’t be as regular of a customer, which makes me very sad, but I am excited to stop by and buy fresh coffee beans every so often!Keep up the magnificent work and service, Kop team, it is so appreciated and I’m wishing you lots of success ♥️“
“Spent about a week in Vancouver last week and after trying Rocanini my first morning there I ended up coming back every morning first thing! 10/10 vibe, well thought out space, and kind service. I recommend their double shot espresso (iced or hot, I tried both)!“
“Cozy Vibes & Quality Brews at Timbertrain Coffee! ☕️?Stepped into Timbertrain Coffee in Gastown and found a cozy haven perfect for coffee lovers. ? Their attention to quality is evident in every cup, offering a unique selection of roasts. ☕️ I enjoyed a peaceful morning in their inviting space, surrounded by the subtle hum of their roasting machines and the warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee. ? A must-visit spot for anyone seeking a high-quality coffee experience in a welcoming atmosphere. ❤️“
“I love coming here to catch up with friends or to get some work done over a cup of coffee. They also sell other merchandise and coffee gear which is a bit odd but the overall atmosphere is very clean and modern.I do wish they had more seating area for customers because it gets quite busy and fills up quickly.Give this place a try for brunch or a coffee date if you’re in Port Moody!“
“I love this spot! The coffee is fantastic, and the service and snacks are just as great. It's my go-to place for picking up coffee to brew at home, and I love that they give you a complimentary coffee with every bag purchase. Plus, they have a recycling program for the old bags. My suggestion would be to add internet access and create a workspace to foster a community atmosphere. Also, it'd be amazing if they could offer coconut milk and alternatives like matcha for my partner who isn't able to drink coffee.“
“A Stellar Experience at lovelarte!I recently had the pleasure of visiting lovelarte, and I must say it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere captivated me, making it the perfect spot to unwind or catch up with friends. The first thing that caught my attention was the aroma of freshly ground coffee beans that permeated the air. It was clear that the folks at lovelarte take their coffee seriously, and it truly paid off. I ordered a cappuccino along with peach danish (yummy) and was blown away by the rich and robust flavor – a testament to the high-quality beans they use.The baristas were not only skilled at their craft but also incredibly friendly. Their passion for coffee was evident, and they were more than happy to share recommendations based on my preferences. The attention to detail in crafting each cup was impressive, and it made my visit feel personalised and special.Thank you lovelarte and I will definitely visit again next time I'm in Vancouver!“
“Today it is raining heavily, and it's cold and wet outside. I happened to pass by here and urgently wanted to have a hot drink. This place looks very small from the outside, but upon entering, passing through the narrow passage , there is a row of tables and warm pendant lights inside, which is surprisingly delightful because you can't tell from the exterior at all. The shelf in the shop displays many of their own roasted coffees and various dark chocolates. I ordered a cup of jasmine tea, and the staff was very friendly, bringing it on a beautiful tray with a small hourglass, which was quite interesting. The quality of the tea leaves is also good, with a strong aroma. The atmosphere in the whole shop is very peaceful. I hope to come back and try their various chocolates and coffees. I'm delighted to have accidentally discovered this place today; it's definitely worth recommending.“
“I will edit this because I just arrived and have a delicious cup of coffee but am waiting for a breakfast sandwich - fun fact - the coffee guy kinda forgot about the sandwich - still this does not take away from the coffee EDIT the OG breakfast sandwich is yummy - kinda small you might want two - for me it was just enough to start the day - don't feel overstuffed and with the coffee am energized to a good level“
“I stopped in on a mid weekday afternoon to have a coffee and croissant while I waiting for an appointment. I did not have any of the fancy beverages but the plain coffee made due. It’s a nice spot to relax with plenty of seats and tables. It was my first time in a JJ beans and I will definitely be stopping into another one!“
“Upon entering Modus Cafe, the first thing that strikes you is the inviting ambience, a perfect backdrop for the delightful culinary experience that awaits. The coffee, a critical staple for any cafe, is nothing short of excellent. Each cup, whether it be their robust coffee or the richly flavored mocha, is crafted with care, ensuring a consistently satisfying sip every time. The food at Modus Cafe stands on par with their beverages. The Essential Toast is a testament to the cafe’s commitment to quality, offering a simple yet profoundly satisfying taste. Meanwhile, the Avocado Toast is a flavorful journey, with fresh ingredients that speak to the cafe’s dedication to freshness and flavor. In summary, Modus Cafe on Broadway is a gem worth visiting, whether you’re in search of a great cup of coffee, a delicious bite, or just a serene spot to unwind.“
“It's a lovely shop though it can be hard to find seats at times. Very popular, they have a laptop study room almost near the back. There's also outside seating when its not too cold. I stop here every time I'm in North Van.“
“First time here this weekend as we are from across the water and we will be back every time we visit the big city now. From the amazing customer service including how sweet and genuine they were to a regular in front us helping him locate his umbrella to the exceptional warm and friendly service we received as well. Also amazing coffee and treats!“
“My favourite cafe closed in January so i have started coming here. Even if i just get a black coffee, its worth being able to chill for a while. Coffee is consistently good, which means a lot considering a lot of cafes in Vancouver are a bit too dynamic with quality. I also love that its open till 5 rather than closing earlier like many cafes“
“One of the loveliest coffee shops experiences I’ve had recently. Plenty of options of baked goods and savoury items, skilled baristas, great atmosphere with good music, people chatting, nice views of the street. Reminded me of a sentence from my favourite author “remember when we had time to kill time?”, that’s how I felt when I sat here for about 40 mins to sip on a latte with a blueberry coffee cake and my book. And if you care to read… across the street is one of the spots from the show Loudermilk (Neptoon Records). Great places to shop around are Welk’s and Front & Company ;)Parking: Main Street parking is all paid but the side street will have 2h spots.“
“JJ Bean on this location is really in vintage style, coffee is well roasted with rich taste and almond croissants are delicious ??Perfect spot with patio for spring.Overall I really enjoyed this place and recommend to everyone who are looking good coffee and are in that area.“
“We came here on a cold fall day. It was nice and warm inside. Good customer service. The Aerocana was delicious, smooth and not bitter or acidic. The warm Cheddar Chive scone was really good! This has become our goto coffee shop when we're in the area.“
