1) Server poured the sparkling water that’s been opened for too long.

“After reading the reviews, we just had to try it. We got the cod fish and chips, the halibut fish and chips and the clam chowder. My favorite was definitely the halibut fish, it’s juicy and crispy; the best fish and chips i’ve had. The cod fish wasn’t the best I wouldn’t order it again. Over all i would definitely recommend this place for a weekday lunch/dinner.“

“Amazing Experience at Riley’s!! We took some out-of-town family to enjoy some great food. We went for Happy Hour. The food was delicious, with a good selection of yummy drinks too! The food was so great we forgot to take photos of it before it was all gone. Our server, Hershey, was outstanding! She was very attentive, and friendly and went above and beyond to make our experience there fabulous with some good laughs in between! Made our out-of-town guests feel well taken care of.“

“I had an incredible experience here last Friday! My friends hosted a surprise bridal shower for me in the private dining room. The staff were thoughtful and helpful with the setup, allowing my them to come in early to decorate the space. They also did a flawless job with executing the surprise by pretending to bring me to a table first. The server was fun, warm and attentive throughout the night and I feel terrible that I’m forgetting her name! All the food was delicious, which has been the case every time I’ve been to Boulevard.“

“Oh my goodness where to start with this place?! It was October 29th and I had started a new job and my friend wanted to go for dinner to celebrate my new. I looked for a place not downtown but close to Burrard St. that had fish as a majority menu item. Also it had to have had 4.4 or more stars. I have high standards for celebrations :). Google maps showed me this place “Oddfish”, the menu was a perfect pescatarian diet, with lots of vegetables with bold flavours. When I arrived, they only had one table left on the patio, I took it! While I waited for my friend our lovely communicative waiter gave his suggestions and started a soothing conversation. My job is high volume and I needed a soothing place. Oddfish did more than deliver. I didn’t even know it was cold outside, the autumn Old Fashioned soothed my nerves, and felt cozy, while I relaxed, people watching on a late October evening. When my friend arrived she opened the menu and jokingly asked for everything on the menu. It was the first time we had been to a restaurant that spoke to our preferred diets. We had the Ahi Tuna Tataki, the Burratta toast, Halibut & Shrimp Ceviche, Roasted Beets, and Seared Scallops. We sat there dissecting the flavours, and enjoying everything that crossed our pallets. We shared it all and we were so full that we were more than content and just didn’t want to leave. We had long drives home to the burbs, so we knew the clock would strike soon enough for us to leave.
Thank you Oddfish and your chef Etienne Buddingh, We haven’t stopped raving about this restaurant and we truly can’t wait to return. ✨

“We had the paella and salmon Wellington. Both were amazingly executed.

The paella was fragrant and soft, but not to the point of being mushy. The flavor was well balanced and complemented the seafood without masking them.

Wellington was crisp and flakey, but not dry. Fruit and herbs created an interesting contrast with the fish and crust, with the pistachio pesto providing an additional counterpoint.

We were impressed and would certainly love to come back again.“

We had an amazing experience at Bravo! We made a reservation for 10 PM and arrived on time, not realizing the restaurant closed at 11 PM. We stayed until 11:45 PM without even noticing how late it was, and the staff never once made us feel rushed. In fact, the owner himself was helping to serve, which we only realized while chatting with him at our table. He was so gracious and welcoming—it really added a personal touch to our evening.

We’ve ordered every item (was so good we had to reorder some of them) on the menu and the food was phenomenal, and the service was exceptional. It’s rare to find a place where both the quality and hospitality are this outstanding. Bravo is truly a gem, and we can’t recommend it enough!“

We had the fish dip, with lovely homemade tortillas which were delicious. We had a spring salad, the zucchini salad, bison carpaccio, and smoked salmon- everything was great. “I attended my first game of the season Dec 10th. The Canucks played and lost to the Minnesota Wild. The lobster roll was honestly my favorite thing about attending Canucks’ games. The lobster roll tasted good. The lobster meat was cooked well and the texture perfect. I admit it’s been a few years since I had season tickets. I renewed this year and told everyone the lobster roll was a can’t miss. The lobster roll held it’s own but the new kettle chips are a miss. Bring back Ms Vickies!
