“Flat iron steaks were very good, perfectly cooked. We agree with some of our friends, though, who think halibut fish and chips is a waste of very good fish. Halibut dries out a bit more than cod, so, while better tasting in other recipes, is no better than cod--but significantly more costly--when battered. This isn't a complaint about the quality of Blue Heron fish and chips; cod would simply be a better, certainly more traditional, choice for this preparation. The kitchen was very slow preparing our meals. We were with family we hadn't seen for a while, so this wasn't irritating. But it probably would have been under other circumstances.“

“My wife phoned Saturday morning to see if they have any mocha cakes ready to purchase. The clerk said that they did not but they can make 1 and have it ready for 2:00pm. Perfect!!!! We arrived at the bakery and were treated very nicely and they showed us the cake and it was brilliant. Had the mocha cake after dinner on Easter Sunday and it tasted fantastic. I'll go back because Pizza Pizza typically has good toppings and options. However, this location kinda skimped on said toppings. When a GF pizza is almost $30, you'd think there would be a decent amount of added toppings. Sadly, my pizza was a $30 let down.“

“I absolutely love COBS BREAD! I frequent the Guildford location but last week went to Delta (72nd location). The freshly baked goods are consistently delicious and the variety is impressive. Jeff, the owner, ensures a warm and welcoming atmosphere. He was kind , gave good advice and helped my little one learn more about his bakery. The staff is friendly, attentive and kind. I was there for about 20 minutes and they served every customer with so much attention! I highly recommend Jeff and his team for their quality ingredients and excellent customer service. We've passed by S+L Kitchen many times and finally decided to go there for lunch. It was a weekday, so I knew it wouldn't be very busy. It was very nice inside, a very retro look and clean. We were greeted right away and seated anywhere we liked since it wasn't busy. Our waitress came quickly and took our drink orders. After bringing our drinks we ordered our food. I had the salmon bowl, and my wife had the lobster bisque. My salmon bowl came with a nice size piece of salmon. It was very tasty, and the veggies were really good. My wife thought her bisque should have had a little more lobster in it. All in all the food and service was very good. Will certainly go there and try dinner.“
